Best tacos al pastor I’ve tasted since I lived in Mexico very authentic. Green salsa was delicious spicy! The tacos are only a dollar. They are small double tortilla plenty of meat. They have the glass soda bottles. They were crowded on a Saturday night a little bit of a wait but well worth it.

So, the wait is finally over. The famous Leo’s Tacos. Not very busy, waited 35 min!!! Try asking about your order along with other pissed off people and the Supervisor at the window, along with the Taqueros shrug their shoulder and basically don’t care. People crowd the salsa bar way before they get their food, so when you do get your food and want to dress it you have to make your way through the obstacle course of bodies standing around waiting for food! Finally get our order the Al Pastor which is the signature meat, was barley warm, dry and no big deal. Have had waaaay better. We tried a few things, my carnitas tostada was pretty good. My Son’s quesadilla was good. Prices are good, parking sucks. Service stinks, but the guy on the spot doing his thing is awesome! Why aren’t they expediting tacos order directly from the spit??? Tacos seem the most popular so get them out quickly. Use the truck service for the other foods. Leo’s Needs organization, leadership and over sense of customer appreciation. I won’t be back.

Leo’s Tacos are some of the best street tacos I had in a while. I absolutely love street tacos and their al pastor tacos are some of the best that I have tried in the city. It’s usually crowded in the evening and late night, but they move really fast so it never hinders me. If you love tacos, all types of tacos, go to Leo’s. You won’t regret it.

Words can’t explain how much I love Leo’s. Hands down LA has the best Taco Trucks. And hands down Leo’s is the best truck of them all!!!(Not exaggerating) :Things to Note: 1. It gets crowded. The entire lot next to the gas station will probably be full. Squeeze your car in anyway. 2. Al Pastor: best meat ever! Leo’s definitely has some of the best Al Pastor tacos I’ve ever tried. It’s made fresh in front of you, with chunks of meat getting sliced off a spit. It’s tender and a bit salty but honestly that’s ok cause there’s a SLICEOFSWEETPINEAPPLEONTOP. So. Much. Yes. 3. Carne Asada: fresh, juicy, and a little fatty. But mmmhmmm. I order at least one or two when I’m here(the rest of my order is all al pastor. Seriously. Get the al pastor). 4. Sidebar: complete with tomatillo, avocado, roasted chili, and habanero sauce. There’s also lime, cilantro, chopped onions, radish, and cilantro/onion mixed. Plastic bags and container cups are provided. For $ 1 per taco? Leo’s can’t be beat! Do yourself a favor and RUN here.

2nd favorite taco truck. My 1st favorite would always be El Chato Taco. Coming here after a late night partying for some finger food is great. Service is fast but damn the lines be super long. Al pastor taco is my favorite. They accept cash only. The one thing I don’t really like is that they have an open station beside the truck with the sauces & limes & etc. I don’t know how long these stuff been out there or if any bugs, fingers or any other unwanted stuff floating around got into them. Pretty unsanitary if you ask me /: but if you’re cool with food being outside then go for it! They also need to be more careful of who they’re handing the food to and if it’s the right person. Messed up my order couple times. But overall decent food. If you’re drunk or buzz I don’t think anything could be wrong with a food truck unless the food was disgusting.

i feel obligated to give this place atleast 4 starts just because all of my friends love it. but personally i think it was O-K. yes, the prices are great, $ 1 a taco. but from all the reviews on Unilocal and from friends, i was expecting way more. i ordered chicken tacos & al pastor. both were moist but the flavor was average. nothing i’d brag to anybody about. they do have a little salsa bar on the side to get onions salsas limes etc. as well as bags and napkins. the service was quick & entertaining. they work their butts off inside & out of that truck. they have a full selection of sodas, as well as tables to eat at and those fire warmer thingys lol. overall, food is 3 stars, everything else is 4. i like the idea and i’d definitely come back for a cheap lunch or snack. $ 7 gets you 7 tiny tacos that will fill you up!

Just… one of the best places for Tacos al Pastor. The adobo-seasoned pork with the pineapple adding a bit of citrusy acidity wrapped in a corn tortilla. (Sure i wish they had better tortillas — homemade would be great — given how great their meat is but we can’t have everything can we?)

I like this taco! Especially when it’s only $ 1.00 a piece. Their pastor is very good and it comes with a pineapple. Now was different for me. Never had that before. The carne asada and carnitas isn’t bad either but they don’t come with pineapple slice. The only two sucky part of this taco truck is the long line and parking. Long line moves to order, but the wait is really in the cooking like. It takes a good 20 some minutes. Parking sucks so if you go make sure you carpool. Sometimes you can’t find any spot but the security dude will help out. This location is in the 76 gas station. You may find parking on the street. But good luck.

Incredible tacos at this wildly popular corner centrally located with ample parking in the adjacent lot. Lines can be long at peak times and particularly late nights as they are open until 3am! The food is incredibly fresh and served piping hot. The al pastor tacos are my favorite. The prices are incredibly reasonable at just $ 1!

I ordered all the tacos available on their menu but by far my favorite is al pastor and probably the best al pastor I’ve ever eaten. Chicken tacos seem good but pastor beats it by both taste and texture, love the pineapple along with the pastor tacos. Leo’s truck creates a perfect food truck scene on the crossing on Venice and Labrea tucked into the corner of gas station making it super accessible with ample of parking available. They are super quick with their orders and I’m definitely coming back for more pastor.

Tonight was my first night here and it was everything my family said it would be 1) long lines of happily waiting customers 2) packed parking 3) a lot of people! I hear that even security guards are there at times but I didn’t see any tonight. It was cold, windy and sprinkling tonight and that wasn’t stopping any customers from rolling in non stop. The parking lot was NEVEREMPTY! people even double parking. Between all of us we ordered tacos de chorizo, carne asada, their famous tacos de pastor and quesedillas de carnitas and de pastor, champurrado, jaritos Mexican beverages(they offer tamsrindo, piña and naranja) and Mexican coca cola. Everything was delicious!!! Pastor was very tender and thinly sliced to perfection. The way the guy catches a freshly sliced pineapple as he carves it and catches it with the pastor is amazing. All their salsas are fresh, the red one is very spicy and delicious. They even offer an avocado green Chile, smooth and creamy and Not spicy. Their champurrado is so good, not too thick and not too thin, just the perfect amount of cinnamon. NOCHAIRSTHOUGH. YOUHAVETOEITHEREATSTANDINGUPOURINYOURCAR. Will definitely be back.

Oh god I am so happy I found this place!!! I was never a taco person before but honestly living in LA and being exposed to such delicious Mexican food has changed me for the better. The al pastor tacos are the best thing you can get from here. You can see the employees carving the meat from the window and the tacos all come with a huge chunk of pineapple. The acidity and sweetness from the pineapple really elevates the taco to another level. The carne asada tacos are also really good! They’re soo juicy and flavorful. I didn’t really like the lengua but my boyfriend enjoyed it a lot haha. There’s a little area next to the truck where you can get chopped onions with cilantro, radishes, and salsa. The cilantro one is my favorite. Also, tacos here are just $ 1 and so is the horchata!!!

After a bit of a self-imposed hiatus on reviews, due to having a new job, I’ve resumed posting some reviews and hope to be caught up very soon. So I live pretty close to Leo’s and initially became interested in this weekend hotspot after seeing the large groups of after-bar folks visiting it on weekend nights. I figured — if something attracts such a huge crowd — it has to be excellent, right? Turns out that all those people definitely cannot be wrong. I’ve since visited multiple times and I keep coming back for one reason: it’s so good. The truck itself is pretty unimposing — just a taco truck on the parking lot of an old gas station. You walk up the window and order — you can get the standard options — tacos of all sorts — or you can get a burrito. I’ve tried both and both are excellent. If you’re a Leo’s virgin, I recommend ordering 4 or 5 tacos(they’re only a dollar each). Try a couple different variations like lengua, pastor, asada. While you’re waiting, grab some sauce along with the traditional radish sides. When you get your tacos, I recommend piling some of those radishes on top of a taco and taking a deep bite. You’ll experience the crunch of the radish, followed by the rush of flavor from the taco fillings. And you’ll be back after that — I guarantee.

If Leo’s and El Chato went to war, I dont know who would win. They’re both heavyweights and deserving of five stars. $ 1 tacos all night long makes the college student in me just jump for joy. The line gets big at peek hours, and the location is a little sketchy, but it’s always worth the adventure when you’re in need of a taco fix. They have a condiment bar with everything you could want to throw on your tacos. They also take bulk orders if you need to call in a big ol order to bring back to a party. The pineapple on pork has to be my favorite, and if you read almost any other review here you would know that you need to try the al pastor for sure!

SOBOMB. So clutch. Stumbled upon here on accident while stopping by the 76 gas station right next to it. It was unlike any taco I’ve ever had. Why? Most importantly, NOTONLYWASITDELICIOUSTHEALPASTORCOMESWITH A SLICEOFPINEAPPLE which added an element of flavor, texture and tang that was unreal. Best taco I’ve ever had in a while. Order at the truck window, give your receipt to the man outside cutting the meat. He will give you your plate and tacos. And from there you put yo toppings on(there’s plentiful buckets full of different sauces, onions, cilantro, etc, you get the drill) Needless to say. It was so delicious. I ordered the al pastor one for $ 1.25. Money well spent. It was awesome

This review is for their Al Pastor Tacos… OMG. SOO Good! They cut the meat right in front of you on the spit. Do not get their al pastor quesadillas or anything else besides tacos because they use a different kind of meat. But, the meat on the spit is so juicy and flavorful. I can’t even put it into words. Be prepared for a long line in the middle of the gas station but trust, the line moves fairly quickly and it is definitely worth the wait!

The Al pastor ALLTHEWAY!!! I’d kept reading how the al pastor was where the money was at. Get the al pastor. Eat the al pastor. Savor the al pastor. So I foolishly only ordered ONE al pastor taco. I don’t know what I was thinking. I guess I thought I knew better than the 600+ Unilocalers before me, and that they knew nothing about al pastor. Well they were right. Get the al pastor, it’s good. I tried the carne asada as well… I should have stuck with the al pastor. Nothing exciting about the asada. I also got a torta, eh. Keep it simple i’d say. Get the al pastor, get the tacos. Call it a day. What more is there to say? I could tell you how it’s in the parking lot of a gas station, but I think that’s already been said… I could tell you that it’s CASHONLY, but I think someone mentioned that already. I could go on about how it’s not for the germaphobes, but I think that’s been covered. I could also mention that the tacos are a steal at $ 1, but i believe I read that somewhere already. If I get anything across, let it be this: GETTHEALPASTOR.

Extraño la comida mexicana. En especial, los tacos al pastor… pero oh desilusión! Están desabridos y totalmente fríos! Lástima!

** price: $ 1.00 per taco?! Where do I line up?! **This place is located in the parking lot of a gas station, and the truck has giant neon flashing signs, so you can’t miss it. Street parking only. **They were self proclaimed«the best pastor» and they did live up to the title. It was so BOMB and tender! While waiting in line, you can enjoy a mini show of the guy making the pastor tacos. Its pretty cool how the guy carves off a piece of pineapple on top of the giant pastor, and the pineapple always lands on the taco. After you get your tacos, there’s a little condiments bar where you can load up your tacos with sauces and onions. I also tried the carne asada and carnitas, but they weren’t that great. To wash it all down, grab a horchata for only $ 1.50 !

LA is full of mysterious and wonderful things. And it should be no surprise that good tacos are scattered throughout this city. Leo’s is a place to find those tasty tacos. But it’s no ordinary, run-of-the-mill dirty taco truck. This is a whole operation that includes an RV-sized truck, a giant standalone rotating pastor kebab, a salsa bar, and a knife-wielding impresario slicing and dicing tacos. The reason you come here is for the pastor, and you won’t be alone. Lots of folks line up for this deliciousness. And for the price/quality ratio, it doesn’t get much better. $ 3 for 3 tacos is the price to beat. While you’re waiting in line you can watch the deft gentleman slice off pastor then whip his knife up for a dice of pineapple, which he acrobatically catches from its graceful arc through the air. See my video upload for some fun. There’s not much more to say other than that this pastor is the shit.
