Awful. I was the only person there for dinner, and I can see why. I had a Croque Monsiuer, and it was greasy, the bread was microwaved, and the ham was slimy. When the owner came to collect my plate, he noticed I’d only had a few bites. He asked why, did I want to take it to go, etc. I mumbled something about not being hungry, and he pressed me for an answer. So I told him the truth: I didn’t like the sandwich, and the pomme fritte were over cooked and tasted of rancid oil. Did he say I’m sorry, or offer me another meal? No. He told me everything was made with the best ingredients, then gave me the bill. If you don’t want the answer, why ask the questions?!

I did originally give this place a two star review because the chicken piccata was decent albeit a bit too oily. Unfortunately, I received an extremely defensive and nasty retort in the form of a private message from the daughter of the owner. I was spot on in my original review.(She even called me a C U Next Tuesday and an idiot! Such language.) I also forgot to mention in my review the place smelled of cigarette smoke. I think the kitchen staff smokes out back and it wafts in. I gave you sound advice, improve your attitude, don’t nuke the bread and don’t play The Gypspie Kings on your transistor radio. Turn down the tv in the kitchen and spend more time schmoozing the new customers, instead of making them feel like they are intruding on your personal space. My original review: Ambiance sucks. Nothing French about the place. We immediately wanted to bale and should have. They play the Gypsie Kings on a very crappy, annoying stereo which tries to compete with the blaring television in the kitchen. The staff is not sophisticated. And the waitress was rude like you would expect at Cantor’s.(Which is okay at Cantor’s) I asked her what kind of tea they have and she said, «What do you want?» I asked her what their specialty was and she was again obviously annoyed and condescending with a rude answer. She obviously hates her job. The food was ok, nothing special. The bread was horrible and warmed in the microwave– it had that nuked/rubber center as it cooled. The place is like a geriatric version of Seinfeld episode. Lots of neighborhood regulars the waitress all knew by names which made us feel like we were crashing an 80th birthday party. It was funny hearing the patrons try to speak their best Spanish to the staff, which they probably picked up on from multiple Mexican Carnival cruises. I do love old people, but I found Avi who was scamming on anything that moved and lectured me about my phone and the effects on digestion pretty annoying. I think Avi’s old gal should be careful, because he just kept talking about investment properties etc. the way he was massaging her hand etc. it felt like a con job to me. The characters were slightly entertaining, but not entertaining enough to bring me back. It’s a Boring Beverlywood crowd. So, your waitress, music, Avi and bread is your biggest problem. The waitress made us feel very unwelcome even asking us if we were«ready to leave» instead of offering something else. Just tactless, zero class and not good for bringing in a younger crowd which you are going to need when your current demographic kicks the bucket. *Crème de la Crêpe on Olympic has much better vibes, food, and a French speaking staff. Two stars for the chicken piccata which is an Italian dish. I am certain that I don’t want to be one of your regulars. To our verbose and fake waitress-Good luck in Deutschland. Your Deutsch is utterly cringeworthy-like your bread.

Love this place! The eggs Benedict are to die for, so is the croque Madame. I read a review of someone complaining about«the ambience», really?! I’m here for the great food and the service. The pancakes are fluffy and buttery. I wish I could make them just so They also sell flowers which makes the place smell great :)

Periodically I re-review a restaurant that I’ve eaten at to see if it still holds up. .Le Petit Jardin Café and Flower Shop continues to please. Wonderful ambiance that’s casual, not fancy, but lovely. You enter through a patio filled with live plants. Upon entering this small café itself, you find several cases filled with flowers. It will brighten your spirits to see bright-colored flowers wherever you look. It doesn’t scream«French» as some other restaurants do which is a desirable trait. The wait staff are friendly, congenial, helpful, and knowledgable about the menu items. They try very hard to be sure you have a good experience. They make you feel at home. This place is not pretentious. It has a casual, young feel — just like a café in Paris. . The best part is the food! Heavenly. Delicious. Sumptuous. It’s French cuisine with nice twists. The owner-chef goes out of his way to accommodate special diets. Other restaurants do not do this. Every thing is prepared fresh with an appetizing presentation. You will never have a bad meal here. This café is a hidden gem in the Pico-Robertson area. I’m so happy that it remains consistent in level of service and in the quality of food. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to strangers as well as friends.

Prolly the best Croque Madame and eggs Benedict we’ve ever had in LA! The potatoes were actually pretty good too and I asked for a side of salad instead of French fries. Loved it all! I’d totally come back for exactly the same order, so delicious. We came at around 2:30pm on a Saturday and they were nice enough to let us in(brunch ends at 3 so kitchen was probably closing when we came in). We had the chance to meet the chef and he told us about his journey, so interesting and also a very approachable and passionate man. It was pretty cool to have brunch and be surrounded by flowers, such a unique concept. Some reviews mentioned the occasional fruit flies. It’s expected since it’s a flower shop but all I saw was one flu but that’s because there were guests eating on the outside patio so the door was open. I’ll definitely be back and would love to try the pancakes next time! :)

Good place for breakfast. I was a little skeptical at first, however once I visited this restaurant, it was surprisingly very good. The restaurant is south of Pico off of Robertson in a so-so area of Los Angeles(nothing special), however this restaurant is a gem in this neighborhood. It is a mix of a flower shop and a breakfast place/diner. There is a small outdoor area and a larger indoor dining area. Since it is a flower shop too, you have a lot of flowers around the dining area, adding to the experience. The food was a mix of typical breakfast food and french food. I was there with three other people so we all ordered a dish and had it family style so we could taste everything. We had the Croque Madame, BLT, blue berry pancakes, and the Florentine omelet. All were very delicious. The best dish out of all of them were a tie between the pancakes and the Croque Madame. — Croque Madame — The egg on the Croque Madame could of been a little less cooked, but the cheese was delicious and overall it was a great dish. — Blue Berry Pancakes — Delicious pancakes. Cooked well. Needed another serving of syrup as they were very large. — BLT — I don’t like raw tomatoes, but the rest of the group said it was fresh and tasty. — Florentine Omelet — Very tasty and cooked to perfection. Overall the experience was good. The only areas I could say that there is opportunity to improve the experience is that we were sitting outside and did not have consistent service from the staff. I had to go inside twice to get a refill of coffee and syrup. Also the egg on the top of the croque madame was a little overcooked. Lastly, due to all of the plants and flowers, there were a lot of little flies. They weren’t bothering us, but the appearance of flies is never great. That may be the downfall of combining dining with a florist shop.

A cook marries a florist and together they open this adorable french bistro. My fiancé and I came here for brunch and had such a lovely time! Such a cool vibe! The patio has a lot of greenery, it separates you from the sidewalk. Our drinks came out quickly. They serve unsweetened ice tea and their mimosas don’t mess around. Champagne, triple sec and a slash of orange juice — amazing! Our food hit the table still hot. We both really enjoyed our meals. We are obsessed, we will be back! Spicy chicken sandwich — med spice Smoked salmon omelet mimosa — highly recommended Street parking. Dogs allowed on the patio.

Street Parking Only. Cute little café with indoor and patio seating on Robertson Blvd, away from the hustle and bustle of La Cienaga’s Restaurant Row. Condensed but nice menu for breakfast or brunch. The lunch menu is filled with burgers and sandwiches. Champagne and wine available if you’re there for dinner or for a Sunday brunch. My pick of the food? PANCAKES!!! Fluffy pancakes with crusted edges! YUM! And that my friends– is all you need to know. Oh! One more thing! There’s a flower shop in the restaurant! A pleasant way to dine with the beautiful and great fragrance of the folowers
