I feel like the lone wolf giving a four star review for a not so well known place… I read the other four reviews to make sure I wouldn’t be reviewing the same foods with a completely different opinion. The only thing I’ve tried here is the bobas and their chicken sandwich. I give it a four only because I don’t think it necessarily deserves a 1. It’s definitely an A-OK-to kind of a fan spot. The chicken sandwich has always been fine, I’d prefer if the whole sandwich was heated instead of just the bread but it’s never tasted bad. As for my thai tea and milk tea they both do the job. I certainly have my favorite boba spots both in nor cal and socal but it’s here and convenient. Plus, the staff is very nice and sweet. I can’t complain about that. I’d say check it out in the downstairs basement of the law school, see if you hate it and make judgement for yourself. I personally don’t think it’s that bad and have come here twice now because it’s the only place convenient enough for me to get a thai tea. : — )

At first I was excited by the idea of a less frequented(in comparison to Campus Center) café on campus that specialized in serving Asian-style foods… but man, my words cannot capture how terribly let down I felt after my experience here. I got the chicken lettuce wraps and my friend got the teriyaki chicken sliders. They sounded awesome when we saw the menu! They were significantly less than awesome when we saw them in person! And they tasted the opposite of awesome when we saw them enter our mouths. His sliders were bare and dry, and my lettuce wraps were an over-glorified(limp) salad with giant chicken chunks on top. Lastly, I went to my class afterward with a sudden stomachache that did not go away. I texted my friend – he was feeling nauseated as well. I don’t know if it was the chicken that got to us, but regardless, my taste aversion to the Law School Café has definitely been developed. (The PMT/boba is aiiite, but I wouldn’t come here regularly even though it is the only café that serves boba drinks on campus.)

Extremely overpriced garbage. In addition to being overpriced garbage, the wait is always extremely long. Lastly, the guy who works here has no control over the volume of his voice.

Utterly vile. Totally disgusting. Inedible slop. Surely I’m exaggerating? Nope. Trust me: there is no excuse for food like this. I’ve had tastier MRE’s. My eggs were hard, cold, clearly microwaved AND reconstituted; hard and the color of John Boehner’s skin. The potatoes also cold, microwaved and hard. And you’d think that this would have taught me a lesson? But no: they offered me a free vegan rice bowl once as a sample, and it was so disgusting I took one bite and told them that they couldn’t pay me enough to eat it. It tasted like it was laced with embalming fluid. The toaster doesn’t work well, the place is usually a mess, and like Blair M. says, it’s akin to being entombed in some godforsaken place/time. The staff is friendly, but no amount of smiles and pleasantries can redeem this culinary abattoir. And, for what it’s worth, I’m loathe to give a one star review to a place where a review could make or break a venue(like a family owned business). But when it’s a corporate behemoth like USC I have no such compunction, Especially given what the students are paying per year. Have they no shame?!

«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» The two star tag line perfectly encapsulates this place. There’s nothing all that wrong with the place, in and of itself.(Well, a few things.) It’s more that of all the places in the immediate vicinity, there is literally only one reason to go here: you have 5 minutes between classes in the law building and you just can’t wait til class is over to go somewhere else. The location in the basement level lends a feeling that you are a morlock being kept away from polite society. The lack of reliable wifi and no cell reception only adds to that feeling. There is one tv but the screen is awful and viewing angles are often obscured by the sun. The volume also seems to have one setting — too loud. There is a patio, but it’s like being in the bottom of a missile silo because you are, again, one floor down. And since you’re on Exposition, lots of traffic noise. The best option nearby is the café located in the business school. Pretty much the same food, but instead of being in the basement it’s on the ground level. The patio is filled with trees, has a fountain and is actually enjoyable. If you want so-so food, why not at least eat it amongst the eloi?
