I’ll NEVER by tickets here again. 2 – 3 months ago we had girls night here and I bought tickets online. Two of us accidentally bought tickets online for wrong date. Website was confusing! When I showed our priority tickets at entrance, they wouldn’t just switch the date for me. They made me buy a new ticket and would not refund first ticket. Instead they turned it into a ticket with an expiration date. That ticket has expired and I just lost $ 26. I feel like I got scammed and you know your website is confusing. Too bad because I actually enjoy the shows and have been here many times though out the years for birthdays and girls nights and what not. Now my answer is hell no, I’m not going to this place. Stupid business practice.

I want to start by saying almost ALL of the comedians were HILARIOUS! This venues booking people know how to choose talent and length of time on stage! Staff is kind and helpful as well. But whatever you do, DONOTCOMEHUNGRY or thirsty! ALL of the food items are horrible. I’ve found better food at hole-in-the-wall dive bars with small kitchens and limited menus. The pizza isn’t pizza. It’s on a sauce and pepperoni and uneven cheese spread on top of white bread sub sandwich bun. Tastes like hard crusty old bread with tomato sauce and chopped up pepperonis. The chips and salsa are also the worst I’ve ever eaten. Cold, mild salsa with cold stale chips. «Hummus and veggies» tastes like Hummus is from a can and veggies aren’t very fresh. Food and drink presentation is also NOT a high priority(or middle of the road) in this venue. At least the bathrooms were halfway clean. This is the Hollywood Laugh Factory… known around the world! People travel from all over the country to come here. You would think the food and drink standard would be much higher. It doesn’t come close to even Flappers in Burbank! I’m reminded on why I don’t come to this location. Parking is horrible and you have to wait outside(in whatever elements i.e. heat, cold, rain) on the sidewalk for the next show and the food and drinks are nothing to go out of your way for. You’re truly only coming to this venue for the comedians. That’s it… and you can see that online somewhere. The Hollywood Laugh Factory definitely does NOT offer an «experience». Out of all the comedy clubs in LA, Flappers in Burbank is the best customer(service & food) and comedy experience. I think a 3 out of 5 is fair. I’m surprised John Tagger hasn’t had to come in and rescue this place yet. I wanted to put a 2 but the staff was nice and comedians were great.

The chairs are extremely tight, so be prepared to sit right on top of your neighbor and have your knees in the back of someone. I’m short(5’4) and my legs felt like they were 6ft long! We got there Saturday for a 10pm showing. They don’t let you in much earlier, so make sure to go to the bathroom beforehand because you cannot use the restroom inside while you are in line. My overall show experience was good. The comedians were funny and the drinks weren’t expensive(they have a 2 drink minimum). We actually looked at our watch and all the sudden they were in the 12am showing and no one ever told us to leave, so I guess that’s the trick if you want to come and stay for a few hours. They have food there which looked pretty good. Someone ordered a wrap in front of us. Overall, not a horrible place just very very tight!

Great spot and a lot of great upcoming comedians! Highly recommend it if you want a night out for a decent price. If you get comp tickets, be prepared for a 2 drink minimum — shouldn’t be a surprise though

I’ve been going to this comedy venue several times and I love it! They are quick on the service and the comedians are prime. I have a few favorites and it’s great to see them more than once on rare occasions. With multiple comedy venues this is the best. Thanks to Tehran he is a great comedian host

YIKES. 2 stars rather than 1 since I’ve seen some really funny comedians here. But last night probably deterred me and my friends forever. Comedy: The kind that makes you apologize to your friends profusely for taking them here. 1) James Harris: Has the enthusiasm of an office worker stapling together HR paperwork. Jokes, timing and delivery all terrible. Felt like I was at an open mic night. 2) Sunda: Jokes consist of «kids these days,» making fun of terms«Whatev» and«LOL,» making fun of people from New Jersey, and making fun of Oprah. In other words, jokes that might have been kind of funny 10 – 15 years ago. No relevance. Kept going for 10 mins after the«finish up» light came on. 3) Jim Tavare: Better than the previous two, but still pretty bad. His best joke consisted of confusing the word«cello» with«cholo.» 4) Tom Dreesen: Better than the others before him but not memorable. Jay Leno-type humor. 5) Neal Brennan: Obviously wonderful. Always really funny. I would say that his performance saved the night, except meanwhile this was happening… Service: The kind that’s so bad that you write about it on Unilocal, which you never really do. Two drink minimum. I ordered a house white wine. When the bill came, I was charged for a more expensive wine that the server brought me, without telling me it was pricier. Since I thought I was drinking house wine, I asked to be charged for the house wine I’d ordered. Wasn’t asking for anything free. Server and manager both refused to change the bill, and charged me for the more expensive one, saying that since I drank it, I was going to pay for it. After all of that, they added automatic gratuity(our bill was only for 2 people). Don’t even think that’s legal unless it’s a larger group. Finally, our credit card statement shows they charged $ 10 more than the total(bill + automatic gratuity). Check your bank statements carefully! I’ll stick to Groundlings and Comedy Store.

The comedy is great, but the service is completely atrocious. We came in as soon as the door opened and sat in one of the booths. We waited for 30 minutes for our waitress to show up while we just sat there and watched everybody else getting their drinks. No apologies. I understand that life happens and everybody should get a break every now and then, but I was expecting a little more courtesy. We didn’t get our first drinks until 15 minutes into the first set. I had to chug my two drinks to make it in time before the last set was over. After the show she wasn’t there to pick up the cash we left and we had to hand it over to another waitress to make sure that nobody took it. While waiting our car, she ran outside and asked if we had paid. Trust me, we people say their service sucks, it really does.

This review is not about the comedians or the shows put on by them(they are great) this more about the establishment itself, service, and quality of the ‘snacks’. They have a two drink minimum, fine, what if we’re hungry? No, sorry still a two drink minimum, alright fine.(other places, flappers, will substitute your one drink for one food option) We ordered a individual size pepperoni pizza 12 $ and chips and salsa 5 $. The pizza was a two slice frozen pizza you would find at Ralph’s in the freezer section. The chips and salsa was your Tostitos round chips and generic salsa — nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the combined 18 $. The drinks, my hubs ordered an old fashioned, how can u screw up something so simple as an old fashion? Leave it to them to ruin it. Our grand total for the night came close to a 100 $ I understand that ppl come here for the entertainment and not the food, but why not Invest a little bit and serve decent food to its patrons?

The jokes were 5 star but I have to give a lower rating based on the service and the food options and drink sizes! This place is lame. First of all I got there at 7pm and the valet parking was not set up so I had to keep circling the block and even pull over and wait… Then we waited and waited and waited for a server to take our order and no one cameA so we finally went walking around the whole place looking for someone and then finally found a server to take our order. We ordered Shirley temples which came in very tiny glasses… But they were only $ 4 each which is good: The pizza was clearly just a frozen pizza heated up, the salsa came from a jar and the chips from a bag, and the hummus and veggies were clearly just fast— so why did it take FOREVER to get the food?! The show started at 8pm and we still didn’t have our food… The server was very confused about how to bill is correctly so that took time to figure out and we had to get the manager to reverse charges… It was not superior service. The comedians were all great and it was overall a fun night. Valet was $ 8 which is not bad. The prices weren’t too bad on the food either– it just wasn’t good food and it took forever even though it was just«grab n go» items… Go figure…

Great place to go and laugh any day of the week. Always a good line up. All comedians are funny, approachable and friendly after the show. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago to see KT Tatara and it was great! I got to meet him and came back twice the same month. The Laugh Factory has a lot of great offers. If you sign up to their email list for your birthday month you get two VIP complimentary tickets. You can choose which dates and times you want to go. Some comedians hand out free admissions tickets after the show. The valet service is great when you are in a rush, but if you plan accordingly you find street parking if you don’t mind walking. Drinks can be a hit or miss.

We came here for a corporate team event. Tickets were pre purchased and waiting at the box office-no line! Open seating and cocktail server quickly greeted us. Two drink minimum was easily met. Comedians and host were personable and friendly. Funny acts and audience was engaged. All in all a great time and highly recommend.

It’s pretty easy to get free tickets: either on here, Facebook, or they give out cards after the show. Pretty funny comedians but honestly most of their jokes mainly consist of racial ones(so if that’s not ur thing I don’t recommend coming). It’s a two drink minimum(obviously way overpriced ones). The waiters were nice and relatively quick for the amount of people they had to serve(but they only had female waiters). All in all good place to go when you want a good laugh.

Allow me to begin by saying I’m docking the Laugh Factory for something it can’t do much about now: PARKING. You basically have to valet here. You can search high and low in the area for 30 minutes and still not find a spot. And you’re going to pay maybe a dollar or two fewer at other lots. That being said, the Laugh Factory is a great venue. Very funny people have performed here, and the setup of the stage is nice and intimate. It allows for a funny show, especially when the comedian is great at crowd work. Standard 2 drink minimum that you’ll find at the Improv and Comedy Store. I would say that during the week it can be dodgy unless you’re seeing an established comedian, but other than that, all the shows are generally pretty worth it :) If you’re gonna sit near the front, be prepared to be picked on!

The talent/entertainment is definitely dependent on the night you go. Last time I went, there were a bunch of no-names testing out new material. 2 out of the 6 were decent but the emcee, a Korean dude named Walter Hong, just plain sucked. His intolerably boring stories threw off the whole vibe of the crowd anytime he started slinging his crap after a decent comic had finished his/her act. Hopefully he’s not there when you go. Anyway, keep in mind they never seem to be on time when opening the doors. They’ve consistently run 15 – 20 minutes late any time we’ve gone. It can be a fun night though if the right comics are on the roster.

I was charged 23.99 instead of the 19.99 I signed for on my receipt. Please check your bank accounts for overage charges the next morning. I was here last night, 1-15-2016. Did not stay the whole show, ordered snacks with the two drink minimum. Very disappointing, I really liked coming here. *update — joy from business messaged me and informed me on the policy of the Laugh Factory. They have a hold for their tips but they charge what you sign for once the hold is up, takes a couple days. Food is okay, comedians are great, my friend and I both had a good time. Will return, would recommend. Great business to customer communication. A+

Talent here is fun depending on the night you go. Tickets are $ 20 and you still have a two drink minimum once inside. The inside is cozy and they don’t allow big bags. Parking is best on the street. If you’re in for a 10 pm show they tend to run late with letting people in, so if you’re planning to get in line and it is cold dress accordingly. Dress is casual.

my favorite venue to see stand up comedy. valet parking is $ 8 which is nice since it’s hollywood so you don’t have to worry about finding parking. 2 drink minimum inside but the waters are $ 4 so isn’t too bad if you go inside expecting the 2 drink minimum. I usually grab a bud light lime for $ 5. always a great time here, all the comics I have seen are hilarious. One time I was there Adam Sandler dropped by for a surprise set.

The only reason this place even gets a star is because the talent was really good. Other than that…4 thumbs down. I reserved VIP seating for my girlfriend and I however we still had to wait a while before entering the venue. That’s not even the worse part. There is a two drink minimum while seated in the venue so it would seem that there would be some kind of urgency to get orders of patrons done quickly and efficiently… Nope! We weren’t attended to until the third(out of about nine acts) got on stage. The menu was very limited(both food and drink). Our waitress wasn’t friendly at any point, she acted as if she didn’t want to be there. We ordered veggies and hummus, salsa and nachos two bottled beers and two mixed drinks. The nachos and salsa tasted as if purchased from the 99¢ store(not knocking the 99¢ store) we just expected more for our buck(no pun). The veggies and hummus was in reality, carrot sticks, pita bread and a big dish of hummus. The name on the menu should be hummus with a side of carrot sticks and pita bread slices. We know carrots are a vegetable but it’s misleading when you say«veggies and hummus» you’d expect an assortment of vegetables. On top of all of that, our final tab read 74.59 then they added a $ 13 gratuity so $ 87.59 but we were actually CHARGED! $ 107.34…where’d that come from? Again, the talent that showed up is the ONLY reason this place gets even one star. Never again!

Pros: — Beautiful, classy servers take your drink orders — My cocktail was stronger than expected. I only needed one!(It was $ 9, pretty typical. The other half of my 2 drink minimum went to a $ 4 water bottle.) — Nice, intimate space. Cons(AKA critiques for improvement *wink wink*): — Who EQed the sound? It was too loud for such a tiny place, and sometimes painful. The person who attended with me is an audio engineer and said it was awful. — «Doors at 9/Show at 10» really meant«Doors at 10:15/Show whenever.» The previous show, which started at 8 got out late and then staff needed to clean up before letting us in. This meant those of us who arrived early couldn’t even enter to use the bathroom. Also, the entire line was nervous, since the comedians we all wanted to see were headlining another show at the Comedy Store at 10:30. Any reputable venue has an employee keeping things running in a timely manner.

So I went last night(Monday) for a good night after work. The comedians were GREAT… one of the best comedy shows I’ve been to(even though the house was barely full). It’s worth noting that this is my 3rd time visiting THIS particular Laugh Factory location and I’ve noticed that I’m not the only person who’s had this problem. I ordered a total of 4 drinks, for a total of $ 36. Not bad for LA. Give my card to pay, and leave a tip in cash. I go to check my bank statement this morning and $ 36EVEN somehow managed to become $ 43.20. Really guys??? I know it was a slow night but are you guys seriously ROBBING people of their hard earned money as if they won’t notice? I have a report out to the Better Business Bureau already and am anxious to call the club in anticipation for their BS excuse. It’s a shame too, because aside from the very LOWSY service the«waitresses» offered, everyone else my fiancé and I had any conversation with, was awesome. And I’m a huge fan of stand up comedy so I’d love to return — but now I feel like I can’t trust the establishment. I’ve read reviews where they’ve done this to other customers, so I’m pretty sure my complaint to the BBB and my bank will suffice if the establishment doesn’t work fast to resolve the situation.

Buy VIP tickets is pointless — you still wait in a long line that ends towards the parking lot. Luckily the wait goes by quickly. The place is a little outdated in regards to décor. Also expect to sit very close to whomever you’ll be sitting with. Like others have said it’s almost shoulder to shoulder. There is a two drink minimum which you won’t even realize you’ve had 4 after all the laughing. They had a great line up — Chris was hilarious! If you leave a bit earlier you might be able to speak with the comedians like my party did. It’s not my go to place but I recommend checking it out.

This is only the second time I’ve been here and this isn’t about the comedians that performed but more about the establishment itself. There is a two drink minimum during the show. This is written everywhere BUT most places are OKAY with subbing a food item in place of a drink. NOPE. Not this place. A rule is a rule. I get that but the waitress didn’t have to hound me about my second drink. Very persistent and quite annoying, especially during a live show. Not cool. Also… They charged me gratuity for a group of 5??? We didn’t even pay together. Tip is OPTIONAL. I would’ve tipped her but being FORCED to tip is another thing… So I ended up paying and authorizing $ 33.49 for 4 drinks and chips and salsa. Steep but I received free tickets for the night so I didn’t complain. The next day, I checked my bank account and saw that the waitress, McD, charged $ 40.19… $ 40.19 isn’t $ 33.49.(This was before the actual charge went through. The vendor holds a 20% charge on top of your bill while pending.) Thank you to the management team for getting back to me about the charge increase. I’m glad I kept my receipts regardless. You can never be too careful nowadays!

Christmas night found me volunteering at The Laugh Factory on Sunset. This is a yearly event where Jamie Masada and a wonderful crew of volunteers(many celebrities and upcoming comics and their families) come out to serve a warm meal to the needy and provide a bit of entertainment for them on Christmas. To say i thought of the needy as human garbage and had no compassion or sympathy for them would be an understatement until this evening. The meal/shows were spread out every two hours from early afternoon, with each show maxing out capacity. Most people waited three hours in the cold just for an opportunity for a hot meal, some warmth, and a few laughs to brighten their Christmas, many of them with children in tow. From the gratitude in their voices to the look in their eyes, my heart broke over and over. It took me moving to SoCal of all places to learn this valuable lesson. There is love in this building. It is built into the walls, throughout all the memorabilia and artifacts collected and displayed from decades of comedians that have performed in this building; but most importantly, can be heard in every laugh this wonderful place produces. Of all the comedy clubs I have been to, this one is the dearest and the best. Thank you to Jamie Masada and my friend John Schneider for giving me this opportunity and teaching me a lesson that took me so long to learn, but I will never forget. Long live the Laugh Factory. I will be back for sure.(Improv Night more than likely!) Mahalo again, Mark

The laugh factory is fun hilarious and your paying for the entertainment because when it comes to the food it’s disgusting. The chips and salsa is a whole sale buy from the store(nasty), the sandwich made my husband sick and the drinks I ordered was horrible did not taste as it should. My husband said«if I wasn’t hungry I wouldn’t have ordered food my stomach hurts» the comedians are the only thing that made it worth for us to pay over 200 bucks

I thoroughly enjoy comedy clubs. Sure the prices of the drinks are on the steep side but I understand that’s how Hollywood works… it’s just, I’m such a one drink wonder that the 2nd drink usually prevents me from functioning like a normal human being. I would LOVE to see a more extensive menu with virgin margaritas or Shirley Temples. The comics are great! I was so excited to sit in the VIP row. I just don’t know if the chairs all had to be so close, I tend to squirm around a lot when drunk(because of that 2nd drink) and I felt like I kept elbowing the stranger next to me. So yeah– more space between the chairs would be awesomesauce. Ooooo the one downside of the Laugh Factory being perched on Sunset Blvd is that there’s no easy parking, so valet is the option. But there’s always so much traffic I felt like I was going to die as I handed the valet my keys.

Just get tickets and it’s so worth it. Don’t heckle the comedians though they will let you know. Even if they ask questions during their set. I got scolded but always a great time.

Have been here a few times for comedy shows. They always have fun comedians and some well known ones as well. Small, intimate setting which is nice. No bad seats. 2 drink minimum… which is really easy to meet but the drinks are tiny and week. I suggest going for beer or wine because you know what you’re getting. I chugged my bloody mary like it was straight tomato juice and needed another very quickly. They have a few snacks they sell but not a full menu, not even close. Wish they had more options. Parking right across the street is $ 10 which is not so bad for Sunset. Definitely worth going if you like comedy. Make sure to get dinner before or after!

So, if all you read is the first couple of sentences, let me give you a tip. If it’s your first time here– opt for the Priority seating. Why not? Learn the ropes so you can cut corners later. When you arrive(30 – 45 minutes before the show) there’ll be two lines. One for Priority, one for non-priority. Priority usually is the one trailing Westward(away from the intersection.) Hop in that one. Now, this line goes in first, but they’ll take you upstairs to a room where you can order drinks if you wish(drinks do NOT go toward your 2 drink minimum if you care.) But, here’s the kicker– STAYAROUNDTHETOPOFTHESTAIRS. If you’re like me, and you like to get out of the way, you’ll find yourself going deeper into the room, and be one of the last in line of priority seaters to get into the room to choose your seat. That’s the biggest tip I can give you. Was front row for Adam Sandler on New Material night. Wanted front row to get the mini-table-bar in front of us to put our drinks on. Crick in my neck by the end of the night from looking up, but it was all good. Yes, seats are on top of each other, but make friends with the people around you.(If you can– the lady to my left was a huffer-puffer who I don’t think preferred rubbing elbows with a commoner like me, but she can rot for all I care.) Drinks are well-priced(I heard someone say«Ugh, L.A. Prices» and let me tell you–«no. No, they’re not. L.A. prices are ridiculous. These aren’t Cleveland prices, but they’re not L.A. either…») Be courteous to the performers and to the staff. It was good. It was nice. I recommend. And I hope my tips up above helped you for your visit.

Supply & Demand was the BOMB. A two-hour hilarious line up of 5 comics(they’ve been on BET, Comedy Central, etc) with stand-up shows that ranged from Southern humor to Dad humor and more. We purchased tickets online $ 18.50(includes $ 1.50 convenience fee… must print out at home to avoid holding fee), only to later find out that the show is in fact, «supply & demand» fee-based. ‘DOH! This means first-come-first serve to get free tickets, which then increase to by 5-dollars to a max of $ 20 depending on where you land in the line outside the door. Of note, check-in on Unilocal to get a free ticket for future uses. Regardless of your online or in-person ticket pricing, there is a 2-drink minimum. Drinks average $ 6 – 10 for ginger beer, wine, beer, screwdrivers. In other words, get there early and try for the cheaper/free tickets. By the time we arrived at 7:30pm on a Wednesday, there were about 20 – 30 people ahead of us. The club is divided into a second floor balcony and a first floor area that is split into chairs-only and booths with tables in back. We sat in the chairs-only area. It was a bit tight, and without tables to hold our drinks, it made for an awkward balancing act between clapping/laughing and spilling wine on each other. Street parking is near impossible in the neighborhood behind the factory. There are a few metered spaces a couple of blocks Southeast, but they go fast as well. Valet parking is available if all else fails.

I LOVE this place. Regardless of there $ 4 tea tasting like luke warm tap water. I almost thought I’d catch a sickness drinking it but hey! Who can so no to a cup of Lipton right? LOL. 2 words that make this a memorable place to get your comedy on at: Chocolate Sundays! LOVELOVELOVE it. Before it used to be sheerly ‘chocolate’ comedians on stage; recently they’ve started to welcome the toffee and white color too. Non riddle version? There are other race comedians who perform on Chocolate Sundays now. Not just African Americans lol. Park at the $ 10 «car wash» spot it’s SOO close to the venue, and for $ 3 more you can save yourself the stress of having to hunt for your vehicle at the end of the show. Not all discounts are good discounts sugar. ;) Laugh Factory valet always, always, always misplaces cars. LOL I kid you not EVERY time I’m leaving the laugh factory there’s a white woman going hood on the poor valet dudes because they can’t seem to find her car! Wanna watch Kelly turn Kashandra REALFAST? Wanna watch Kashandra going H.A.M on valet? Park your car at the Laugh Factory! LOL.
