I ordered delivery and it was very tasty. I was not familiar with this particular type of food, I really enjoy the pan con chile sandwich, loved the side it comes with and uniquely flavored dip. The prices provide excellent value and you can’t beat free delivery. Having authentic restaurants like this feels like a real perk to me personally. Thanks guys.

First off I had to pay before I received my food. Second the margarita I ordered was basically ice and syrup, no salt in the rim. The food was not tasteful at all. My husband and I took a few bites and could not finish it. Did not even take it home. Last I ordered some coffee for $ 6, and was not able to refill it. Overall I thought the food was over priced and we had a bad experience.

This place was the first place I ate when moving to my new place. It is literally at the corner of my block and it delicious. They have real authentic Guatemalan food. The plátanos are amazing, their salsa tostadas are great as well. They were starting to make pan dulce but the last time I went seems like that was not going to continue. Such a shame because I had bought some fresh out the oven the best pan dulce ever and the next day it was still soft. Nothing I hate more than hard pan dulce with my coffee. The place is clean, the food is great and the service is fast.

It certainly feels like these people don’t take their business seriously and just plane don’t give a damn about customers. I’ve called countless times to find out what their REAL business hours are, because it’s certainly isn’t the hours posted on Unilocal. They’ve never answered the phone. Not once. I’ve tried calling at different times, and on different days and… nothing. A friend and I drove by last night around 8:30 and saw a bunch of people inside. So we pulled over and walked up. The door was locked and people were inside having what seemed to be a party. Maybe the owners decided to close early and have a good time with their friends… Who knows. We tapped on the glass so we could ask what their hours were and they just ignored us. I look on the window and it has a red sign with hours handwritten in and literally crossed out with a sharpie several times with closing times being changed… do they just change the hours based on their mood that day? I’m curious to see how long they remain in business.

the food here is ok but the lady owner needs to be more personable towards clients. She has a no care attitude. On the other hand all others that work there are pleasant. That is the reason I do not go there.

Oh my goodness! I love this place! I love how friendly the staff are. I found this place through Unilocal and was a bit afraid to try it out. But it’s been a great so far. I had to order for pick up, yet apparently they had to close early that night for some reason(I don’t remember why). But they still had my order ready and they were waiting for me, patiently. They had apparently changed the menu, and had missed a few updates on their online prices. This led to a difference in price for my order BUT they were super understanding and adjusted the price for me. They did not argue or roll their eyes or anything! So nice. I would go here again. :)

I was super excited about trying this Guatemalen/Salvadoran place when I saw it listed on Eat24. They deliver to my address? Even better! I ordered some food for my mom and I: plantains with beans and crema, a pupusa revuelta(pork, cheese, beans) an order of chiles rellenos and horchatas, of course, to wash it all down. I got a call from one of the employees who told me they were out of the chile relleno — bummer :(- so I got the Pipian instead. Everything arrived quickly and warm with all the trimmings(avocado, salsa, curtido, lime) and looked delicious. Sadly, it didn’t taste as good as it looked. Suffice to say, the Latin Flavor Café lacked a lot of flavor. :/

Where to start??? Been passing by this place for a while, and so glad I finally decided to come in. To start of I had their tostadas(one of each frijol, salsa, and guacamol) all 3 surprisingly delicious! Also had their chuchito(not the best but not the worst I’ve had) I could do without it. And for the main dish I had their pollo con cream which was extremely yummy! Def will be coming back! And very friendly staff

They do a great job at market in their food, it all looks delicious. However, if you order delivery they will forget to deliver it. Weak

I was a little skeptical walking into the restaurant but don’t let the outside fool you this place is no joke. We had the rolled tacos and at just about $ 3 we thought they would be small but they are huge. The chicken and cream is absolutely amazing, perfect flavor. Also the plantain and black bean is outstanding. I would highly recommend giving this place a chance.

This place is great! Their food is authentic to Guatemalan cuisine! Very small place, but homey. Some of my favorites are the chile relleno con pan(my number one pick!), the longanizas(I love getting these to go, as well — great taste heated up for a quick lunch!), the breakfast options are delicious too. Overall, i don’t think you can go wrong with any of their menu options. I highly recommend this hidden valley gem to anyone looking to eat authentic, home made flavor, Guatemalan food! Absolutely delicious!

Little cute place. Was in tonight with a couple of girl friends. Mom and pop shop! Food is authentic. They make it fresh on the spot. Older, lady taking our order and serving us was great but at times confused with our order. They have mostly like appetizer stuff. We tried the taquitos, pupusas de chicharrón(not greasy at all) and platanos con frijol. Omg! It was delicious. The cook made the platanos for us because they had ran out. I thought that was awesome. The prices are great!!! Very reasonable. I think the service could have been better. Several times I had to get up and ask for stuff but maybe they are pretty new. Not sure. All in all I will be back because the food is really, really good.

I ordered the special for takeout from here today. I opened my food when i arrived home and they gave me 3 tacos that were unidentifiable. They literally look like a burnt tortilla full of ashes. Pretty sure they didn’t expect me to walk back and demand replacements or a full refund. I was disappointed based on the so many good reviews here.

Right off the bat, there where four parking spaces available in their back lot. Yay off-street parking! The place is small but has enough space to hold 10 tables for up to 40 people. Call ahead for large groups, they will set it up for you. The colors really stand out as soon as you walk in. They are warm and friendly. What’s best is that they have an authentic Guatemalan feel. The menu is straight and simple. I really appreciated this. They have the All Stars of Guatemalan food. We ordered two breakfasts«desayunos típicos», an order of plantains with black beans. They came with cream and bread. Then, we had the«chuchitos» which are a small corn tamale with pork and chicken. Everything was really good!

If you’re Guatemalan you know how hard it is to find a good Guatemalan traditional meal! And let me tell you this place hits the«Antigua» flavored just right! It’s what I call the Central American flavor hidden gem! The vibe is great from the moment you walk in the owners are so nice and it’s great to always practice my Guatemalan accent with them! Went with the whole family a party of 15 and we got at least one of everything on the menu from traditional appetizers tostadas de frijoles, salsa, y guacamole to the hilachas and pan con chile and of course Los platanos fritos could not have been forgotten!!! I can’t wait to show this place off to my friends.

The food here is straight up delicious. 2 times I’ve come with my family and 2 times I leave full and satisfied. Ordered the Churasco Chapin both times and it doesn’t disappoint. Very good amount of food. First time I ordered for 2 and this time I ordered for 4 and they give exactly enough. They make their own home made longanizas and hand made tortillas(this is what tortillas should be like), variety of delicious sauces, and some pretty awesome drinks. Their Chile Rellenos are really good too. I would definitely recommend the Atol con Maiz(very delicious just try it). Most definitely will be coming again regularly and would recommend to anyone/everyone to come try it out as well. Great food, well priced, and awesome, kind service. What more do you need. If you wanna try some really good Guatemalan food in Northridge area, this is the place to try it. Definitely worth the time, visit, and drive. Spread the word. I think this place is pretty good.

Delicious traditional Guatemalan food, I was looking for paches(potato tamale) and I finally got my fix. Reminded me of my trips to Guate. Comida chapina
