Can’t we all just get a smile? My younger bro was visiting LA for the very first time and this was one stop he just HAD to make. I knew upon entry that this was a mistake as the young lady sitting at the door was less than thrilled she had to greet us. It seemed to bring her nothing but pain to say hello. Okay… she’s clearly having a bad day, we all have those. I let it roll off. We keep it moving further inside to check the place out. The clothes seem cool; the quality of some of the shirts were subpar for the price, but there were a few styles that were cool and the quality reflected as such… Okay…nice store… layout is well thought out and executed well, but what’s up with the people working here? Another lady we run into is having a bad day. She’s unfriendly, unapproachable and really shouldn’t be working today. My brother goes up to her to ask how much some of the things are as the prices are not clearly marked on everything. Another less than thrilled response as she musters up enough conversation to answer his questions. Mind you, there is another group of customers here that are having a great time with the rep they are talking to. That is clearly not the case with us and my brother decides to hold on to the money he saved to bring here to spend. I felt bad for him as the hype for this place was diminished by bad customer service, but if you want people to buy your stuff you gotta at the very least be willing to show a little smile. There was one guy at the counter that gave us a nod as we headed out the door, but it was a little too late. The damage had been done. I took him to the Grove right after all of this to make it up to him; he found a few places that were more than happy to take his money with a smile.

I’ve been following them on IG for a while and decided to go check out their store since it’s only like 10 mins away from my house. Parked in the metered parking on the street, since it’s LA& it’s Melrose. When I walked into their store, it was definitely upto the standards, the whole theme & atmosphere was legit. All black & gold & egyptian. Staffs were friendly, music was blasting, definitely air conditioned in this hot LA weather. They do lack some items because I guess more people shop online, but had plenty that you can check out. I bought myself a black & gold coin purse that I’ll be using as a business card wallet. Will go back soon to check out more items.

Believe The Hype. When my 14 year old Brother decided he wanted to come visit me in LA for a week from the Bay Area, he had a few request and visiting the Last Kings Flagship store was top on his list. Wasn’t really sure why he was so hype about it. But I took him anyway. Little did I know, the store that left him bug eyed even when we were across the street, would move me too. The stores overall theme definitely coincides with that of the Last Kings brand. The inside is reflective of what would be presumed to be in a Pharaoh’s tomb. Equipped with Egyptian hieroglyphs painted on the black and gold walls, pillars, and replicas of colossal statues of what I’m assuming to be King Tut. The lighting and Gold everywhere definitely adds to the ambiance. Makes you feel like you’re one of royalty(which I feel naturely by the way. haha) But getting to the good stuff. The customer service here is IMPECCABLE! Seriously, all of the staff were extremely warm and attentive during the duration of my entire visit. I honestly have not seen this type of service in a long time. I literally sat on the cushioned seats and watched my brother muse around the store to be asked if he needed sizes, suggestions and whatever else he asked the staff. It seemed as if every customer had a personal stylist, being told by employers if something looked too big or small when asked by consumers. You can truly tell that at this store it is not all about making a sale. It is truly assuring that the customer has the best overall experience. To me that not only speaks volumes about the store, but about the brand in itself. King Gold Chains(Tyga) should definitely be proud. Although my brother did not walk away with a purchase due to a sizing shortage he was told when the new shipment would be in and offered advice to come early, as things do sell out. I will DEFINITELY be back to pick up the items for him. This place makes you want to do business with them. And on those mornings after my graduate classes at USC kick my butt and make me feel like a peasant. I now know a place where I can go that’ll make me feel like an Empress ;) Lol Believe the Hype! The Last Kings Flagship Store on Melrose is truly a class act.
