Love Their pupusas. . This place might look a little mysterious to try out, especially if you are new around the area or to this particular location but it is good and prices are very affordable! They have $ 1 pupusas Monday– Thursday I believe The man in cashier and cook are very courteous and respectful towards their customer only problem here is that if you go when there is a lot of people might end up sitting in the table were the Sun hits and you’re gonna be screw lol

This is my go to spot for home style Salvadoran food. The bistec encebollado(steak with onions — typical Central American dish) is simple and satisfying while the camarones rancheros(Mexican dish) never disappoint. The caldo de siete mares is decent but I wouldn’t call it great. It can be slow sometimes so it helps to call ahead to make sure they have what you want that day. Sometimes it helps to coordinate with the owner regarding soups as they don’t offer all of them everyday. Soup(in general but especially here) is always worth waiting for! Everything on the menu is $ 11 or less so it doesn’t break the bank to come here often. The rice is buttery and made with bouillon as is typical in Central American cuisine and dishes come with a generous serving of steamed and unsalted vegetables. While steamed vegetables don’t always sound appetizing, they offer a nice respite for your palate from the more piquant and flavorly-involved entrees. Besides typical Salvadoran fair, they also offer a number of Mexican dishes but I try not to fool around with those items since Mariela’s is across the street and Las Tunas is a Salvadoran restaurant after all. There is metered parking on 3rd street as well as many parking meters for cyclists to lock their bikes to. The front window facing 3rd street is great for people watching. No booze, some aguas. Tortillas are always homemade and piping hot! Highly recommend.

This cozy little hole in the wall has THE best pupusas revueltas I’ve ever had!!! 4 stars due to the curtido being extremely bland.

This little spot is adorable. Fresh & delicious Salvadoran food, they were sweet enough to make me breakfast even though it was 3pm. :) The desayuno was simple, tasty, the best meal I’ve had in a long time really. And the peanut butter horchata is awesome!

Cheap, fast, tasty pupusas. Where else can you get such a delicious meal for $ 2?
