I’ve been to gay/​lesbian locations before and never had any issues. My friend lives in downtown L.A. and it was her birthday; some girlfriends and I decided to take her to this location because it was near where she lived. I had nothing but problems with lesbians trying to pick up on me; I’m a straight female and I had no issues before at other locations with girls checking me out but this place was just too out of hand. Everywhere I went there would be some masculine gross looking girl following me– including there notorious restroom. There were a few weirdo ‘straight’ guys there too– seemingly interested in me and my girlfriends; they wouldn’t get the hint that we were not interested. We finally decided to leave because there fat emasculate woman bouncer kept following us around this dump. The dancers were decent but this place is certainly not for the faint-​hearted. BIG THUMBS DOWN!

Worst fucking place ever!
Kicked out my friend and tried to overcharge us. Then tried saying my friend was too drunk when they were the ones who got her pissed off when she was all alone and we were in the bathroom they tried charging her and kicking her out. Stupid ass bouncer and everyone who works there can’t even speak an once of English. Illiterate idiots probably won’t even read these reviews.

I haven’t been to La Victoria in Yeeeeeeaaaaarrrrssss! I was surprised to learn that Fridays are Vaquero nights. Make your way there if you’re into Banda, if not try another night. It got popping after 11pm. I highly recommend the micheladas!

Just came from the cinco de mayo celebration on Sunday. I like that it was not packed and the music was mix with bachata, salsa, corridos, and some top 40 stuff. Everyone seemed cool there, like they just wanted to have a good time. A different crowd from weho.
4 bucks for a water bottle, 5 dollar cover and some really paisa women. The place looks old and rinky dink but overall it’s a chill spot for lesbians, can’t speak for the other nights though.

I can here on a Friday night the place was ok but the guys that work there were disrespectful to my girl I saw one of the valets trying to touch her and he grabbed her boob I was pissed later he tried to take her to a car to go with him after she had a few drinks he was trying to take advantage of her only cause I wasn’t around and went to the bathroom luckily the security saw and told him to leave her alone overall drinks are ok music is ok the bartender is a sweetheart but the guys outside in valet and handling cover fees are such perves and just seeing who can they get lucky with in people’s cars the ones they park in

Not the type of club I normally go to but it was fun. They only have one dance floor… its a nice size. They mostly play latin music like Rock En Espanol, Cumbia, Salsa, Punta, some hip-​hop etc… They have nice looking girls and boy go go dancers and pool table. They also sell food. It was $ 10.00 to get in. There were a couple of Drag Queen Performers that performed around midnight. I didn’t like that the club doesn’t take Credit/​Debit card for the drinks. The drinks are really good and reasonably priced… Nice and strong. I would go again.

I went here on Friday night after going to Reventon at the Staples center. I haven’t been here in YEARS. My friends and I were trying to find somewhere queer/​gay that played Spanish music to keep the party going. It was super fun and packed. The go-​go dancers they had there were super cute, nice and had nice moves. Not bad for a Friday night. Also, the people that were there were NICE. Such a nice departure from the West Hollywood crowd.
I had a beer ($ 5) and a vodka/​tonic, which was pretty decent.
What I like about this place is that I was able to go there and get my fix of Spanish cumbias, bachata & banda with some hip hop sprinkled in the mix.
We got there a little too late to enjoy the drag show, but I’m sure my friends and I will be back.

This place is great. I love all the Latin music and the drink prices are good. THE ONLY THING IS THAT THIS PLACE PLAYS THE MUSIC TOO LOUD. I went on a Friday one time and I didnt get my hearing back all the way till Monday. I am not exaggerating at all!!!

It was my first time visiting a gay club and i liked this place. It has a really good music, Overall, It seemed a really decent place. I recommend it.

Ok so I was there this past Fri night and well to my luck an old friend performs here on fri nights (: It has def changed but I like the new changes A LOT. The gogo dancers were great, the music was EXCELLENT and the ppl there that night were cool. I had tons of fun and I’m def going back very very soon (: It wasn’t as crowded as I remember it to be which is good, it’s in the ghetto but the place is pretty cool. You have to def give it a try

I think coco bongo is pretty cool, i just wished they played a lil more hip hop but overall I like this club, the people there are pretty cool, I don’t get any bad vibes or people don’t really hate there even if your from a different race, Plus I don’t look like the type you want to be messing with anyway, lol.

how do you know some of those people are undocumented, that’s very racist remark and especially coming from a person of color. You are asian and know damn well your parents most likely are not from the USA and may even have an accent but some of you guys want to act like you’re all high and mighty, Girl you need to wake up, I know there are plenty of clubs in LA and San Gabriel valley with a bunch of asians who are undocumented so stop, anways who cares and that chick who was trying to come on to you in the bathroom was most likely drunk as hell because you are not cute, ive seen your pics on here

Kinda ghetto, but the Music is Good if you feel like dancing. Cumbias, Punta, Rock en Español. Drag show @ Midnight… Pool Tables & Tacos inside the Club. Not the place to go pick up, that’s for sure.

On Friday night, this place turns into the Coco Bongo club. As my friend described it in her email to me, it’s «full of undocumented lesbians– a Homeland Security dream raid!» This of course, did not really make me want to go there but she’s a dear friend and damn these birthday things.
Luckily for me, Erica F agreed to go with me though I wasn’t too altogether sure it’d be fun for either of us. It was quite apparent we didn’t belong there being we were probably two of five people of non-​Latin descent in the large restaurant/​club.
The drinks were decent; I had a Rated X with cranberry and Erica had a vodka tonic (well is apparently Absolut). $ 17 so it wasn’t cheap but it wasn’t unreasonable. Although, the $ 10 cover was a bit on the steep side. Why were we at this ghetto club again?
The music wasn’t bad, a mix of Latin dance and current hip hop. Erica and I danced a bit, lost among the crowd of gay men dancing by themselves (while lifting their shirts to reveal their bony frames), cholo/​as with their girlies and a few attractive lipstick lesbians (oh wait, no it’s just dark).
Then they cleared the dance floor where we sat back to watch three shows including a hip hop routine, a drag queen (damn, this was the best looking drag queen I’ve seen in a while) and the hottest bondage chick with a whip and some candle wax show I’ve ever seen! Okay, so this is worth our $ 10 cover. The only thing I didn’t like about the shows were people would rush the stage to tip the performers. It was pretty cool though when the masked S&M babe pushed some of the more attractive patrons (okay, again, it’s just too dark to tell) down and poured wax on them!
They definitely need more restrooms for a lesbian club. Damn! Two stalls? Some women were going to the mens’ room but still. In the restroom, some chick cornered Erica and I and asked if lesbians scare us. Um… yeah, that’s why we’re leaving now. And quit telling me I’m hot.

(really, the club is just a 1 – 2 star place but considering the hot wax naked boobie show, well, it’s 3 stars in my book)
