I am in the Financial Service business that help my clients out with all matters relating to their dollars and cents with the exception the client decided to hire these UNQUALIFIED business to move her across the state. She paid close to $ 4K and their contract gave them 21 days to move the items and clearly his company was under capacity and could not handle the job. When I as my client’s representative called Curtis(Owner) to find out why has he personally given me over 4 way understated & bad ETAs(Estimated Time of Arrival) of my client’s goods. My 5th call to him I said«sir can you please tell me with precise accuracy what day my client’s furniture will be at her new home as you are past your 21 day delivery date. He quote said«I’m not a child and I won’t listen to you chastise me over something I can’t guarantee»…I said, «but sir you are in the Logistics business and you have given me several bad ETAs which is unacceptable» Mr. Curtis hung up the phone on me! To top it off when we called the police about the company… he then hired local temp agency men to help his trucker unload the Budget Rental Truck he rented to bring the items to my client’s home. To top it off quite a few items were broken. Owner’s quote. «Obviously you know nothing about the moving industry… this happens all the time» What I HATEMOSTINLIFEAREDESPICABLEBOTTOMFEEDINGLIARS! HEUSEDTHECONTRACTCLAUSETHATTHECOMPANYISNOTRESOPNSIBLEFORTRUCKBREAKDOWNS… interesting the truck allegedly stayed in the same city with 3 business days BUYERBEWARE!!! I hired LAVANLINES in January 2015. I had already sent part of the payment when I saw a bad review about them and, I must confess, it really worried me. But Glenn and Gary were being so attentive, professional and courteous, besides I didn’t want to go through the process of canceling the service, so against my husband’s will, I decided to continue using their services. At the very same time, a friend also needed to move some furniture and china from New York to San Francisco and she was using another company of which she tried to convince me to, instead, use their services because they supposedly had a really good reputation in the business, once again I decided to go with my guts and continue with LA Vanlines. I, too, wasn’t able to be present during the process, so my husband stayed, kind of wishing something would go wrong so he could say«I told you so!» But, to his surprise and my delight, everything went PERFECT!!! «They were so careful with everything, it seems like they were caring for their own stuff,» my husband words, ;-). I realize now, Unilocal’s reviews don’t always tell the whole story and I’m so glad I stuck with my instincts! My experience with their services, from the beginning to the end, were just great. My friend, who insisted upon using the«supposedly» reputable company found out they broke some of her china and she is now going through a lot of trouble trying to get her money back. My husband is now, for perhaps the first time ever, glad I am stubborn and I am happy with my choices. As I said, reviews do not tell the entire story and I felt compelled to write this one to prove this is a fact. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at LAVANLINES! I can only speak from my own experience which was met with kindness, courtesy and professionalism, truly great people.
