LA Unbound Dance Company

I am thrilled to be doing my first dance show with this company! As auditions go it was probably my best experience yet– although I was clearly out of my league (haven’t trained formally in YEARS), I felt nothing but welcome. Props to this company for creating such a fun vibe with amazing people :)

LA Unbound dance classes were one of the highlights of my year! They got me back into tapping again (it had been a loooooong time since I tapped!) and started me on ballet, a dance form I had not dared to try since I was 4 years old!
I was so disappointed when they canceled these classes! I especially miss Rock and Roll Ballet with Betsy. There is no other ballet class like that one in town! I just hope that she will one day decide to start this class up again… or at least have a Rock and Roll Ballet Workshop!
We miss you, LA Unbound Classes! Please come back in 2011!!!

a truly welcoming environment for the adult who wants to dance. i really love the monday night latin class with tommy; he does a great job of breaking down the material and giving you a workout. i’ve also taken the ballet class with betsy, which i enjoy because you can tell she knows what she is doing and you get both a very good workout and stretch (although it can sometimes go really quick). for $ 10 a class, first class free, you can’t beat the price.

As a preface, I am no dancer and have absolutely no rhythm, but I love taking dance classes for fun and exercise.
I started going to LAUnbound because they were offering their first class free. I have taken 3 classes at LAUnbound Dance Classes at Sophie Dance so far and I love it there. I’ve taken other dance classes at other studios but I feel like LAUnbound is the most welcoming to new/​beginner students. Their teachers are a lot of fun and provide personal attention to everyone in the class. And most importantly, they make you feel welcome. LAUnbound has a ton of dance classes on their schedule ranging from Ballet to Latin Fusion to Burlesque and Yoga and they play awesome music which makes everything a lot more lively.
