Good food but the portions are really small. I mean one kabob stick with very little chicken or beef? For 10 bucks they should give a little bit more chicken. Plenty of rice. I would go here more often if they served a better portion.

I must say I was so excited to try this place and I was not disappointed. First, the owner or manager was amazing. Not only was he friendly, but went over the top to give his recommendations and treat us wonderfully even though we came in ½ hour before closing time. We were a big group too! I had the chicken kabobs to eat and once again was so not disappointed, if anything it hit the spot. Just a perfect amount of seasoning on the chicken. Everything from the plate complimented each other. The hummus by far was some of the best hummus I have ever tried. The pita bread was fresh and I loved that I could make a sandwich with it the chicken, rice, salad and hummus. Overall my experience was a 5⁄5 stars, and if there was more stars they would get more stars! I will definitely be back!

Gross. The girl dropped a skewer and instead of immediately throwing it out she was lingering around secretively asking the boss what to do. I know she saw me bc the boss and her were whispering something to each other and the boss just set the skewer on the counter as if to save it for later when I leave the place so they can reuse it. It’s disturbing bc I was staring them down as if to show that I am watching and I see what you are doing yet still. Nothing. That was so disgusting. I had to watch them closely to make sure my food was clean. I am appalled bc the three women that were working in the shop all saw and they all hesitated and did nothing but try to hide the fact that they dropped an entire skewer on the floor. Their suspicious actions and the way they handled the whole thing tells me this happened before and they do not throw it out! Then I noticed the girl was preparing food after handling money and ringing up people at the cash register. She never washes her hands or used gloves she just took her dirty hands and picked up a pita and wrapped the entire pita around the skewer. So disgusted. Besides all that the food was good but I won’t be coming back.

We stopped in for lunch and I had a beef kabob plate… I wasn’t impressed. It tasted kind of… different. I feel like they might have given me a lamb one accidentally, or maybe the flavorings were not my taste. It wasn’t absolutely terrible but I probably wouldn’t go again. On top of that, the ladies in there were mean and rude. I think that was what really ruined it for me.

This place hits the spot! The food is amazing and rivals the taste and quality of other more expensive greek restaurants. I usually order the beef lule kebob plate that comes with hummus and veggies. Will return when I’m in the area and highly recommend it. Service is excellent too.

Food was great! Hummus tasted very flavorful, garden salad also on point. The lamb was a little chewy and also wait time was quite long. Overall though pretty satisfied and happy. Wouldn’t mind coming back. :)

Amazing, healthy, delicious Mediterranean food! Not what I expected because this little gem is set in a strip mall between Popeye’s and Subway across the street from General Hospital in East LA. While waiting for a friend who was being attended to at the hospital, I needed to get some lunch. I headed toward a strip mall and followed some hospital staff into this little Greek restaurant. I had a chicken lule kabob. Excellent. My family is Southern Italian and I always long for genuine Mediterranean cuisine. The place is small and clean, friendly, and warmly decorated.

I’d give higher review, but the bastards like to close up whenever the hell they feel like it, ignoring their listed business hours. It really fries my ass when I go to a restaurant expecting them to be open and they aren’t because of, like, reasons or whatever? I don’t want to have to call a place beforehand to see if they felt like adhering to thier business hours.

Where do I start?! :) I found my new favorite restaurant close to my house :) came here because of the awesome reviews and tips and I’m a true believer now. My love and I LOVE the food here, so delicious! The place is clean along with the restroom. The staff is super friendly, but my personal favorite is Angelica. She was sweet from the moment to said hello to us to the moment she said«see you soon» :) most definitely, we are coming back real soon. If you are craving Mediterranean food, this place delivers 100% I’m a very happy new customer :)

Eat here. It’s very good. Everything you put in your mouth here will satisfy you. Trust. But the standout portion of the meal is the rice and chicken. And seriously, try the baklava. DIVINE!!! Ask for Arsen if you wanna thank the management, WHICHYOUWILL.

I enjoyed the chicken Lule kabob and everything is fresh. The staffs are friendly and I usually stay away from the salad because it’s bland in most places but this one it’s gawd!!! Chicken Lule kabob is delish!

Imagine walking into a new restaurant and not being sure what to order. Out of the back comes Angelica who made my day. She is so courteous and kind and supper efficient. Even though the restaurant was busy she makes you feel like you are the only customer. The food is delicious and Angelica makes you feel like royalty. I will come back bit only off she is there!!! I loved the chicken kabob and the salmon with humus, salad and rice!!!

In the same plaza as Subway, Popeyes, Thai Kitchen. Parking is tight street metered parking is better. Usually go to TK but was too crowded so tried out LA Skewers instead and it proved to be a winner! Nice and welcoming register person who won me over with her calm and warm demeanor. You know when you go somewhere and it just feels right? That’s how I felt tonight. Ordered two plates to-go and they were both delicious! Expect a 10 – 15 minute wait but it’ll be worth it when your taste buds dance! Prices are fair around $ 9 for a plate which comes with rice pilaf, meat/veggie item, green salad, hummus and pita bread. There’s also a small espresso/dessert area in the store but didn’t try anything maybe next time! Will most definitely be back soon.

Pros: –Tasty food Cons: –Small portions –They often run out of Rotisserie Chicken. Really? What restaurant does that, especially if it’s one of the most popular items on the menu? C’mon people! Keep up with the supply and demand! –Parking lot is worse than a nightmare –Grandma at the register has no sense of urgency when there’s a long line of customers. Please assign the register to someone who’s quicker and more efficient. If you’re in a rush, don’t even think about eating here. Bottom line: You’re better off eating at Sam’s Grill, which is on the same street, just two blocks west of LA Skewers next to Juice it Up and Yum Yum Donuts. They serve similar cuisine; however, the difference is that their portions are larger and service is super quick. That’s the way it should be!

First off. I have only ever had LA Skewers’ catering. Customer service 5*: Eva(or is it Ava?) I believe is the owner, she is easy to deal with and usually takes all catering orders. Angelica(whom I absolutely adore) is usually the delivery-gal, she is super friendly, helpful, and always a pleasure to encounter. And usually on time(usually if I push a time that they are squeezing me into, I expect them to be late as they can’t promise the time with so many back-to-back orders, which is okay with me). Food 5*: Everyone always loves when we cater from LA Skewers. For meat options I have had their chicken, beef, salmon, and beef luleh – we even get falafels with tahini for our vegetarians. Appetizers? ALL good! We have had their grape leaves, eggplant caviar(a big hit), hummus(an even BIGGER hit), and tabouleh. Everyone raves about how great the rice is, the salad, everything! I really can’t complaint! Prices 4*: Their catering prices are fairly decent for what you get. With an order of 21+ people, you get priced at $ 11.99 per person – you get your choice of 3 meats(probably 4 – 5 pieces a person, easy), three appetizers, rice, and salad. For an additional $ 2 per person you can even add fresh fruit and desserts(most of the people I work with are health-conscious, and mainly eat the fruit and its worth it just on its own for only $ 2 more per person). Overall 5*: I love this place. If it was cheaper we would probably order it for more events, but it works perfectly for the smaller events that I can spend a little more money per person for. I have never dined inside, so I don’t know what it’s like in the restaurant. but I have never had any issues with their catering and to me, their food and customer service is fabulous!

Expect a long wait every time around lunch time. It’s like this even when you call in for food pick up. But despite that, I really like their food. I usually stick to the chicken kabobs or even their $ 5 lunch special(chicken or beef pita sandwich with fries and a drink). Just note that with the special, you can substitute the fries for a side salad or tabuleh with no charge; also the drink has to be a canned soda. If you want Kern’s or water to replace the canned soda, it’s an additional charge. If you buy a platter here, it comes with a side of hummus and pita as well. If you want dessert, I like their watermelon or yummy baklava. What’s also interesting about this place, is that it’s also a coffee shop where you can buy a lattee or capuccino. I have never bought these drinks before, but it’s a nice option. Also note that this place is right across from the LA/USC hospital AND the parking lot is SUPERSMALL. You’ll be lucky to get a parking spot in their small lot on a weekday, so try to find metered parking.

I’ve eaten here many times since last year. The food is(mostly) tasty and healthy. I enjoy and recommend the Kyufta plate(when I’m not as hungry), the lamb kabob plate(when I am more on the hungry side), and despite being an ardent meat lover, I actually have taken a liking to their veggie platter combo(when I want something on the healthy/lean side). Unfortunately, I don’t remember being too impressed by the Philly cheese steak sandwich served here, so I would probably pass on that particular menu item. The french fries served by LA Skewers are surprisingly *good* — they go VERY well with the garlic spread(always order at least 1 large, it’s a dollar well spent). In fact, that delicious garlic spread goes well with pretty much anything served by the restaurant … except the desserts. And on that note, when you enter the restaurant, you will see that they offer an assortment of pastries/desserts/cakes on display to your right. They’re worth trying out. If you want a sweet beverage to accompany your meal, I recommend their piña colada smoothies, they are pretty good. There is literally only a 25 cent difference between the medium and large sizes, so you might as well get a large. The staff is pretty cool to deal with once you get to know them. I remember the restroom being kept surprisingly clean — I say«surprisingly», because one look at the area the restaurant is in, and a clean restroom is not something you’d expect. Parking in the tiny-ass lot can be difficult to obtain at times. Expect to be accosted by(menacing) panhandlers on your way in/out of the restaurant.
