I would rate them lower if I could. Unfortunately, I was tricked into trying this place again. They suckered me in with empty seats during the TCU vs. BSU game. Their food should be rated on a scale with pet food. Of course they were out of certain selections, again. This time chicken fingers to start. Once I received my order, I was informed the bar-b-que sauce I ordered for my burger(that was now being delivered) was not available. The onion rings(that came late) were darker than an amber beer. The calamari looked like it tried to escape(I should’ve followed their que). The Chardonnay came warm. Then the server actually tried to close us out early so he could go home. My advice… wait for a seat at Karl Straus and eat a pizza.

Not for vegetarians. In fact this whole terminal(gates 80 – 88) is junk food. I had a choice between fries or nachos for sans meat. Chose nachos. Reminded me of junior high cafeteria, yet costs $ 14.

Food and service were fast. I got here early for a flight to NOLA. Stepped in here for breakfast. I had the ham and cheese omelette and the husband had the french toast. Both were fine. Much better than McDonalds.

The absolute best place to get the chewiest, oldest calamari in town! If you need a new rubber band, hair tie or bracelet these calamari will do the trick. I do feel bad that they’re way out in nowhere’s-ville at the end of the United 80 terminal though. I mean, they only see a handful of people every couple of hours so how fresh can the food really be?

Awful. We came in for dinner between flights and service was slow. You seat yourself, so no one notices you. The waitress took my drink to refill it and never returned it. We had chicken fingers, which were fine, but when it takes forever, it’s just not as good. Sense of urgency was lost, which is essential at an airport.

Who puts ice in orange juice? Very small bfast selection. I asked for my eggs over easy, No, was the answer… only scrambled. Burrito was bland. Home fries sucked. Coffee tastes like it was instant coffee. They are very fast… but to the point where it was skeptically fast. Basically this place took a dump on a paper plate and made me pay for it.

Drinks were incredibly weak for what they call doubles… very sad.

«Seat yourself.» I sat at a table for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged as the waiter walked past me multiple times.

This is the only sit down restaurant in this terminal, so you have limited choices. I will keep this one simple. You have seen the reviews, you know what you are going to get. expensive but below average food, cramped spaces, spotty service. Welcome to airport food. Our server(missed her name) was on her game. Highlight of the visit. Beware, they only cook burgers medium well(huh?), which make the suck even more. I went with the standard, industrial chicken tenders, so I at least knew exactly what I was going to get.

I spend some time in airports, and their restaurants generally leave a lot to be desired. So, with with the L.A. Roadhouse, I’ve decided to start a list of airport restaurant reviews. This one, not so good. Nice, but over– worked servers bringing out way over– priced diner food. Spent around $ 25 for a Bass Ale and chicken quesadilla. Have also had a margarita and chicken something salad, again for around $ 25. The marg was mediocre sweet/sour mix-based. The salad was decent, but yet again, way over-priced, even for airport food. My advice: choose your airport cuisine more wisely.

Disgusting place… the food is not fresh and it’s very dirty. I would have preferred airplane food at this point…

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Stick to the safe items, and you’ll be alright. I went with the chicken strips and a beer. So did everyone else in the restaurant. If you know who you’re sitting next to on your flight, avoid the buffalo sauce. There’s so much vinegar in the sauce that could make you feel like your hour flight to Arizona feel like a day. The servers are nice and prompt. Just don’t expect a gourmet meal from the place.

What’s a vegan to do when she has 90 mins until her flight leaves and didn’t eat any dinner? Check out the nearby restaurants for vegan options. Just my luck, every restaurant near my gate has nothing appealing beyond a salad. But LA Roadhouse Route 66 was the only place that would customize a salad the way I want it. At least that’s what my friendly server, Octavio, said. While every salad on the menu contained ingredients that came from an animal, I ordered the one that seemed most appealing after they took away the bacon, chicken, and cheese. It had black beans, corn, avocado and pico de gallo on iceberg lettuce. For dressing I asked for lemon and salsa. Since I asked for no bacon, chicken, or cheese on my salad, Octavio proactively asked the cooks give extra avocado. I didn’t even ask! :) Not the greatest salad and the salsa was horrible. But the service was nice.

Wonderful diner-style food here. The menu is relatively large and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. I stopped in during a layover to New Orleans. I ordered the scramble classic($ 9.50), which included scrambled eggs, applewood bacon or sausage patties, sourdough bread and fresh seasonal fruit. All food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils.

Great Margaritas! Reasonable sandwiches. In the airport. Really. This place was A-OK as a general restaurant, but by airport standards, it rocks. Inexpensive and fast, tasty, with reasonable service. Well worth the time and dime.

Service is usually a waitress or two that looks overwhelmed at worst, and indifferent at best. You can tell they’re nice but man, they have a hard time caring. Speed ranges from pretty slow to reasonably quick, it’s all over the map on how busy they are. Food is… mediocre. But it’s an airport restaurant, it’s usually 5:00am or some other odd hour you end up stuck here, and there ain’t much choice. Put in that context, it’s pretty edible, especially given the alternative of actually eaten expensive crappy food on your flight. Taken out of that context, tho… try not to think about it too much. Maybe someday they’ll really, properly remodel Terminal 8 and put in a decent place. Til then you are mostly stuck.

Sandwiches are mostly $ 10 a piece. Fast service and the only one near Gate 82. No monku!

Limited choices in LAX United 80’s and Route 66 does not help. Very limited breakfast choices and a breakfast burrito that’s not very good. No meat, just eggs and a cold veggie relish inside. Don’t order a side of guacamole. Tastes like it’s from a plastic bag. Can get very business at breakfast but I’d suggest a cold sandwich to go(available at the fat right side past the kitchen). Service varies from quick to non existent but eating at the bar is a safe bet. There’s also power receptacles near the high-top table for a quick recharge. There’s not much more to do so take a trip, down Route, 66.

I would go 2.5 stars for LA Roadhouse — Route 66. This little sports bar is located at the smaller United Airlines terminal, which is dedicated to regional aircraft. There is also a CPKASAP nearby. Service was quick, which is definitely important for an airport eatery. In terms of the food, I went with the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It was absolutely drenched in sweet BBQ sauce. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. It was actually pretty tasty. The fries were average at best(they needed salt). Prices were okay(about $ 10). The walls are covered with T.G.I. Friday’s-like décor(Route 66 and road trip signs). The tables were a little tight(no much space between them), which can make it difficult since many people have huge carry-ons. All-in-all though, seating was comfortable enough. Overall, the food wasn’t bad. I would probably try someplace different next time. But if I had to eat here again, it wouldn’t kill me. They also offer a to-go counter.
