Walked in at 2:30 pm and waited patiently about 5 minutes to be acknowledged. The girl behind the counter made eye contact several times but ignored me, continuing to put things away behind the counter. She finally decided to acknowledge me and said, «we’re only open for drinks.» I asked her why she didn’t tell me this when I walked in and she told me, in a rude way, «I didn’t see you, sweetie.» Smh. I work really close to here but will not be back. I ended up going to the salad place a few doors down where I was met with friendly service and had one of the best tuna wraps I’ve ever had so I guess I should’ve thanked the rude girl at la petite.

Ordered a happy day. Got back to my office and found there was no avocado. Pretty big bummer. Going with a higher 3 stars, as normally the food is done right.

I would have given them 4 stars, since I was really happy with what I paid for(two bagels, a coffee and a tea), but some of the pictures here are fake… First of all, the«petit» really means that place is small. They don’t offer seating, you would have to use the public area in the wells fargo tower to sit down. Secondly, even though the food was good, some of that pictures would give you the feeling that they have a huge variety of pastries, which is simply not true. They have like 4 or 5 different sweet treats and that’s pretty much it.(And no, I didn’t go there 10 minutes begore they closed) Also that«Boulangerie» would in my opinion imply some French influence on the restaurant interior and/or the menue… NOPE! Nothing relates to France… It’s rather a US breakfast place run by anyone else than French.

I came in here during lunch time, craving a regular veggie sandwich. First strike– the young lady at the counter overcharged me for a full salad rather than the teeny tiny cup that I grabbed from their refrigerated section. She didn’t even catch it, and when I was obviously taking a long time trying to figure out why my total was almost $ 12, the older lady behind her immediately asked if I ordered a «full size salad» to which I said«no, just the tiny one». She adjusted the total, but no apologies from the young lady. Then for Strike 2, as I was waiting, she tells me that they’re out of avocado and cucumber… um, this is lunch time, why don’t you have the 2 veggies you need in most sandwiches? Ok, so I requested more tomatoes and peppers instead. Third strike– when I finally got my sandwich, it was super soggy(I guess they don’t believe in toasting), and after taking one bite, my entire mouth was on fire! I couldn’t tell if it was the tomato spread or the mustard, but it was equivalent to dousing the entire sandwich in wasabi… it was literally inedible. I ended up throwing half the sandwich away. I wasted almost $ 10 on soggy, inedible sandwich on fire plus 3 bites of just-okay pasta salad. Never again.

Open early, so perfect for the early morning work crowd. The food is delicious and affordable. Also, the service has been fast and friendly. I’ve only been here for breakfast but the ingredients have been good quality so I have no doubt their lunch is just as good.

This place was surprisingly very nice. I came here strictly for coffee after a visit to the farmer market nearby. I got the horchata latte which was nice and not too sweet. It is conveniently located just at the edge of the entrance of the building so its easy to find. I cant say much for their food, just yet, because I only purchased coffee. Both mine and my coworker Chai Latte were tasty. The staff here was friendly as well and very helpful. They have a variety of options of food as well. We will be back to try it for sure, everything seemed to looked real fresh. They also have pastries which also looked very tasty and apparently they are made fresh daily as well. The interior is basic but very clean and was welcoming when we walked in.

Awesome little gem. Love the food here and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Try any of their Panini sandwiches — delicious. They make everything fresh, so you won’t be disappointed.

Yum! Best bread. I usually get the customer salads from here for lunch. Right at the base of my office building, so I come here once or twice a week.

Muffins and coffee are best. I would recommend this place to anyone. Stop by and check it out.

Great sandwiches, great people, great coffee. This is my go to coffee spot here downtown. The prices are reasonable, and they have an assortment of menu choices for everyone to enjoy. Five stars for this spot!

Great sandwiches! I have tried a few different ones and have yet to be disappointed. They are usually pretty quick too which is nice when your on a timed lunch break. Also thoroughly enjoyed the strawberry and cream croissant. I haven’t tried out the ½ off desserts after 2pm. Sounds dangerous. But on day on a binge I will. Lookjng forward to checking out their soups and salads. Will update when I get the chance. Enjoy!

My coworker and I came here to try out their smoothy since the employee there highly recommended it. We thought it was made of real fruit but unfortunately it was just concentrated mango juice and we both got food poisoning after. :(

This place used to also be in NY when I was a kid(think 80’s), so this trip was mostly nostalgic for me. Mom used to buy my sister and I chocolate croissants from here everytime we were in the mall. This place is pretty close to my apt so I walked here around 9am this morning. It seemed pretty busy but the service was quick and friendly. I ordered 2 chocolate croissants to take home. They were delicious! Slightly different from what I remember, but fresh and tasty still. Check the picture… speaks for itself. Warning: the picture may have the following side effects: hunger, sweet tooth anxiety, the need for a delicious pastry, drooling, stomach growling.

I am so lucky that this great coffee house is in the, building where I work on Bunker Hill(Los Angeles). Always fresh pastries, delicious sandwiches(made to order!) and their coffee leaves Starbucks«in the dust.»

My sister works right next to this place in the wells fargo building and she raves about this place all the time and its cupcakes. Well I finally came to try them and this is the third time they see me here. Also, she had given me a piece of that Chicken Caesar wrap and it is the best combo I’ve ever had for salad! I came yesterday and order that for lunch at work. Their cupcakes are really soft from the inside and flavorful. I got it with a honey tea latte and it was delicious as well. Last but not least, the service is amazing!!! I think is the manager(blond woman) that goes above and beyond with her customer service, my boyfriend and sister agrees. Props to that!!! She makes everyone feel special.

Located along Hope Street at the base of the Wells Fargo Tower is La Petite Boulangerie. This bakery rarely has a line and the pastries are baked right here unlike Starbucks and Coffee Bean where the line is 10+ deep at 8 am during weekdays. Pastries are a good size compared to Starbucks and Coffee Bean for the same price. Croissants, plain, almond and chocolate are all delicious and fluffy. The service here is always friendly and quick. At certain times in the afternoon, pastries are 2 for the price of 1. Not a bad deal.

This is definitely the place where the locals go before work. Crowded at 6:30am… Tons of breakfast options, variety of muffins and pastries except no donuts :-(. Almond milk latte they made me was smooth and rich. Definitely would return. No place to sit and hang out except a financial building lobby adjacent this little joint. So I sat outside and ate/drank.

I love coming here in the afternoon for half-price baked goods! Some days, there isn’t really anything left, while on others you can pretty much get whatever flavor muffin or bagel you want if you don’t mind that it’s sat around the whole morning. The menu here keeps growing seemingly every time I come here.

This place has great baked goods, and decent salads. After 2 or 3pm, the baked goods are ½ off. It’s a bit pricey, but not ostentatious for Downtown(a salad is about $ 10), but the serving size makes it worth it. My last time, I opted for a custom salad – a cobb w/gorgonzola. Delilsh!

I once LOVED this place! I find it important to bring to the owners attention something that I’ve noticed on more than one occasion. Employees handling food(especially salads) with their hands directly after touching appliance doors and other objects that are smeared with condiments and other food stains Although they are wearing gloves, this defeats the purpose. A recent example: Several times while creating a salad, an employee wearing plastic gloves, opens a refrigerator(its handle and door, smeared with food stains); without ever changing gloves, scoops ingredients(lettuce, meats, etc.) with hands; mixing the ingredients with hands and transferring the salad into a container with hands. I do not consider this sanitary food handling and hope that management enforces the use of utensils with their food handlers, cleanliness and proper food handling before someone falls ill from eating the food! I tried posting this on their website contact us page. But for whatever reason, my comments were not accepted.

The menu is a mess and every time I come in here somebody else is frustrated with the service. The jalapeño-cheddar bagels are really good, though. I’m also a fan of the pistachio muffin. They’re never open at 5:30am as claimed on Unilocal and on their own sign.

This is a great place for coffee and breakfast on the way to the office. On the street level of the Wells Fargo building on Bunker hill, it’s light-years better than the other breakfast and coffee option upstairs. The people who work here are friendly, the breakfast sandwiches are great. I’m a fan!

Great spot to pick up breakfast or lunch to go. It’s against my interest to broadcast this(since they sometimes sell out), but the oatmeal here is by far the best on Bunker Hill. The bagels are also quite good, especially the jalapeño and cheddar. At lunch, they make it quick and easy to pick up a pre-prepared sandwich from the cooler. But if you can spare the time — or if there just happens to be no line — have them make a sandwich fresh for you. The price is not any different, and you’ll notice the difference.(Recommendation: Turkey and avocado on a French roll.)

Came here because of Unilocal* Meh, I think I should have to try out more of what they have before I pass final judgment but what I did try doesn’t have me planning on going back. I came mostly for the baked goods. I expected to walk in and be hit by a smell of freshly baked goods and was disappointed. I had some cheese danish thing which was just ok. They did have a large selection of muffins and bagels and there were a few samples of the muffins to try out which I didn’t(my bad). The coffee was decent but really disappointed with what I had. Again, I should reserve judgment before I try more of their goods but I doubt that’s going to happen.

It’s fine but not as special as the name would have you think. I dunno. I thought a place with a name like«La Petite Boulangerie Bakery» would have, well – a good selection of baked goods and breads. I think Starbucks has more. This is a coffee stop, not a bakery. And service is kinda whatever. I went for a special trip because they were supposed to be one of the two DTLA carriers of Donut Snob donuts. The attendant didn’t even acknowledge that this is something they carry when I asked about it. She didn’t seem to know. I dug my chocolate-filled turnover and honey tea latte, so the place isn’t a complete loss. But don’t make a special trip or go out of your way like I did.
