Amazing fish tacos and ceviche! All types of fish and seafood used in the dishes are of great quality and taste very fresh. The owner is very welcoming and kind, as well as generous with the amount of fish he uses in the ceviche dishes. The battered fish tacos are my favorite as well as the ceviche with octopus/shrimp/fish. Great lunch or dinner spot!

This place is gold! The service was amazing. We phoned in on a Sunday evening to see if they were still open. When we got there, they said that they stayed open just for us! How awesome is that?! We got the fish, shrimp, and octopus ceviche with a side of avocado. It was so fresh and delicious! Definitely hit the spot for us since we were all craving ceviche. We also got the mariscadas(seafood stew) and it was so creamy and tasty! Never had anything like it before. Oh! Get the pineapple soda! YUM. Restaurant is small and quaint. Parking was a little difficult because there was only street parking. Be careful if you park across the street because it has tow signs everywhere.

Very good. I have been a huge fan of pata de mula(AKA Concha negro, bloody clams) for years, and typically eat off from one particular food truck in Fashion district(superb). So I decided to try out here. I was not at all disappointed. This place is so lovely, the owner and the waitress are both very friendly and warm. Concha negro is fresh with lovely oceanic tastes. I also adore their ceviche. Will for sure come back!

I really don’t understand why this place has 4 stars. The place itself is crowded and tiny. Not only is the place tiny but the portions they serve are tiny as well . If the plates that came out of that kitchen were to be delicious I wouldn’t even mind but just because they are completely skimpy and overpriced makes me regret coming here. I ordered a ceviche which barely had any flavor. A quesadilla that came cut into 4 tiny pieces that looked as if it came out of a microwave. And a shrimp soup that had like 4 shrimps and two pieces of potatoes and carrots(totally not worth the price.) you can definitely get better portions, quality, and prices at a seafood food truck. Unilocal has let me down for the first time this place does not deserve 4 stars. Service wise I think they have to work on that and will never be returning.

Simply amazing. Everything about this place is great. Small, family-owned place where you’ll be sure to have a nice coversation with the owner at some point during your meal. The fish tacos and ceviche were amazing. They have over 8 different types of ceviche! I’ve never seen so much fish in Peruvian ceviche order before — they definitely aren’t cheap with serving sizes. And the homemade yellow habenero sauce was incredible — I had to buy some extra to take home. The owner is a great dude. The first time my buddy and I had lunch here, Julio came over and sat down at our table. He told us his background with restaurants and his passion for serving great food. It really shows. I normally avoid places that are cash only(who carries cash?), but this place is an exception. This is our new Friday lunch spot. And if you like Micheladas, make sure to go across the street to the supermarket to get some cans of Modelo Chelada. You can bring them into La Cevicheria.

Tour de force. Absolutely. The location is humble, and the name is almost generic, but the food, oh the food. Aguachile was an impressive presentation, raw shrimp soaking in a delicious, spicy sauce, garnished with a small mountain of cucumber, onion, and avocado. Ceviche Chapin, Guatemalan style, was fresh and delicate. The portions are generous — I thought I’d ordered a single fish taco, but two came out. And it is a good thing that they did — the fish was tender, perfectly cooked and the breading as light and fluffy and crunchy as any I’ve ever had. Delicious. The owner is quite a personality, warm and talkative, eager to share the nuances of the menu that he and his wife put together with diners in detail. I know the hours are somewhat limited, but in my experience, La Cevicheria is worth the effort.

Bomb little spot! Fish tacos are beer battered brilliance, thinly sliced cabbage and classic creamy sauce. All the seafood is very fresh and you can feel safe ordering anything. First time ever having black ceviche, pleasantly surprised. Don’t forget to ask for the house made habanero sauce

I have been here many times. It is definitely a good and refreshing location. On this particular evening wr had some appetizers, mussels, a dozen, amazing taste. I usually enjoy ordering the Campechana or Vuelve la vida(seafood cocktail). My girl really enjoys the ceviche tostadas, fish and shrimp to be exact. They also have combination plates such as garlic shrimp that comes with rice, very good. It’s not hidden since you can see the big yellow sign in the front, but if you blink you might drive right by. The restaurant is on the smaller side, it would be great if they could rent out more space. Parking, you’ll definitely have to drive around if there isnt any in the front. Don’t be startled by the neighborhood, you’ll be happy and satisfied once you start eating.

I absolutely love this place for their ceviches. Their ceviche tostadas are simple but so good in flavor. I also enjoy their shrimp plates. Their garlic mussels are so delicious also. The food is overall great! Only thing that’s not a plus is that it’s cash only and service can be a bit slow but they’re still nice and apologize when they’re busy.

Truly a gem, I would have never known about this place had it not been for word of mouth. It is a small shop wedged next to a laundromat near Koreatown. After doing much research on Unilocal,I decided to go with the Chapin and the Concha Negra on the half shell. The Chapin was so refreshing with the cilantro, mint and lime juice. Very fitting flavors for the summer… Or actually for any season! There was also hearty chunks of octopus, shrimp, crab, tomatoes, onion and avocado. It comes in a huge bowl with a side of tostada chips. We also asked for the mango habanero sauce which was MAGIC. I wanted to take the bottle home with me! The Concha Negra was definitely more bold and probably not for everyone. I LOVE clams so they were a must try. They were so meaty and sweet and briny, and fresh! They’re raw, FYI. I’m really not sure what kind of sauce was on them, but it did look like blood lol. I’m glad they gave us lots of lime for them or else it would have been too much for me to handle. The server was very prompt and friendly. She kept checking on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. One of the chefs(she was an elderly woman) also came out towards the end to greet us and make sure everything was alright. These people truly know how to run an exceptional establishment, food and service on point!

This place is amazing! OHEMMMGEE! I can’t even describe the flavors and spices that came out of our dish. My friend and I decided to have a late lunch, and thanking Unilocal for landing us here! We sat down and the owner pulled up a chair and sat right next to us, recommending dishes. They all sounded awesome, so we just went with the one most difficult to pronounce. We shared both dishes and we were in Latin heaven. My friend and I hated to let the remaining sauce go to waste. I just wanted to lick the sauce off the plate like a dog licks peanut butter off his lips. I can’t wait to come back and try the bloody clams and other dishes. The place got very crowded just as we were leaving too.

This place is delicious. I’m quite a fan of ceviche and their ceviche was on point. It was just the perfect blend of citrus and seafood. If it’s not enough citris for you, there’s more limes on the side and a lot more citrus at the bottom of the bowl too. They also include crackers that you can crush up and dump into the ceviche, which adds an extra bit of texture to it. At least, that’s what we did. The service was also really great. The ceviche came out in a short period of time after ordering. I believe the owner dropped by to chit chat with the customers and also to rave about their Tres Leches. He claims its the best. He also said that if my bf bought it and gave it to me, that I would love him for it. We were stuffed from the ceviche and had no room for the Tres Leche. But we will come back and we shall see La Cevicheria, we shall see.

Very small place but the food was great. The Concha Negra ceviche is one of the best ceviches I’ve had hands down. The Mojo de ajo(garlic shrimp) was a perfect mix of garlic and lemon. I continued to eat the garlic sauce even after the shrimp was gone. The shrimp tacos were ok, nothing to brag about like the ceviche and garlic shrimp. Not much flavor. Going off of the first two dishes, I’ll be most definitely coming back. Especially to try out the Aguachiles.
