First time here and didn’t even make it past the window before the lady taking orders made an ugly face just because we weren’t ready to order. Don’t need to spend my money where it’s not wanted :)

She put guacamole on the tacos when they werent suppose to have… and one of the drinks had ice when we ordered NOICE!!! the lady didnt apologize or even offer to re-do the tacos she messed up! Will never come here again.

No more special. Each taco is now $ 1.25. Used to be 4 tacos and a small horchata for $ 4. Still, the tacos are flavorful and authentic. Tacos here are better than el taurino or king taco.

Friendly, authentic taste, great portions and fast. Great while waiting for nearby business. Parking across street. Fair prices.

Good spot to grab a few tacos while your on the go. Good location especially if your getting to ur car washed or smog. Tacos are descent but not the best. Street sized tacos but if you want something to hold you over until you can really eat then this is the place. Tacos are only 1.25 which is a really good price. Chicken needs a touch of cumin and garlic and would be a lot better but if I’m in the area and starving I would come back. CASHONLY… Gas station across the street has an atm as well

CASHONLYSPOT. ATM @ gas station on Western. Location: Southwest corner of Manhattan Place & Pico Blvd. behind Pico Carwash. Find it one block west of Western. Parking: Street, adjacent business lots become available in the evening. Environment: This is a tiny taco building; the exterior is painted bright yellow w ‘TACOS’ in big bold red letters. Resin tables/chairs on the sidewalk seat 4 – 6 ppl each & are the only seating provided. The sidewalk is very wide, but it feels weird to eat so close to a curb & gutter. lol Food: $ 1.25 tacos of course they are the tiny type that fit in the palm of your hand so you will order at least 4. Ample selection of salsas & pickled veggies. Favorites include: — Carnitas Tacos — Asada Tacos — Bean & cheese burrito w avocado. Beans are whole & they use a white cheese maybe Monterrey? Plus for loading the burrito w avocado. Thank you for not skimping!(no meat) — Rice is fluffy & flavorful — Green salsa was the least spicy, I used drops of it. lol — Guaca-Salsa was not spicy. It was okay the first few times, but the last time it tasted like water. Hope for a good batch. lol WC: Cross your legs & hold it, there is none. Minus a star for limited veggie menu selections & no WC.

I love this place. I used to work near there and went there almost every week. I just get a plain bean and cheese burrito. It’s $ 3.50 and it’s plenty filling. The sauces they use are terrific. You can’t go wrong with anything you order there. It’s all good! They have a few stools to sit on outside… because there’s no inside, because that’s where all the cooking takes place. It’s basically a «stand.» See my pics. Friendly people work there. I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area.

Cute tiny place with outdoor counter & comfy stools under big patio umbrella. Great homemade everything & very low prices. Across the street is the BEST deal & highest quality car window tinting you’ll ever find. He does it under a small pop-up in the lot of the do it yourself carwash. Every high end car owner from Beverly Hills & beyond, and lots of off duty cops go to this guy. Including me.

I frequented this little business during my high school days, since it was just a block away from where I live. The location is a bit run-down, as it is located right next to a car-wash business and the place is more like a shack with rickety, plastic tables/chairs surrounding the area. I never ate on site, since it was more convenient for me to eat at home and watch sports on TV. Pricing is stellar. Tacos are $ 1, and the condiments bar is self-serve — meaning you can get as much vegetables and sauce as you want. This was a HUGE perk for me because I love having lots of vegetables, sauce, and peppers on my tacos — a luxury that you can’t enjoy at El Taurino, El Chato, or King Taco. They also used to have a deal where you get 4 tacos and a small cup of horchata for only $ 4! I’m not sure if that deal is still going on, but at the time it was such a steal… The tacos certainly won’t be the greatest tacos you’ve ever tried, but you won’t be disappointed. They are filling, and they satisfy.

4 tacos(choice of 1 meat) and small horchata for ONLY $ 3.99! $ 4 to be exact. The tacos are mediocre. Not the best but eatable. I usually come here during late nights. I would rate this place 3 stars but gave an extra star because of the $ 3.99 deal. It is helluva deal because average price for tacos go for $ 1.25. As for parking, there are a lot of street parkings around. Overall, the quality of the meat and horchata is 3 stars. Not the best but doable. I go here because this place is convenient for me. By the way, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy so make sure to bring your sharpest and loudest weapon. Haha just kidding. But I am not kidding with the neighborhood being sketchy. If you want quality then I suggest that you go to a place like El Taurino(more eye candy also for both men and women). But if you want some place cheap and lowkey then I would recommend this place. Like I mentioned above, this place is not the best but doable.

I came here to scope out the taco places in my new neighborhood! I got the $ 3.99(actually $ 4, they didn’t give me my penny back, ha) special, which lets you choose one type of meat for 4 tacos! The carne asada I chose was aiteeee, there were pieces of gristle, but nothing overwhelmingly bad in the taste/texture of the meat. The sauces were aiteee, the horchata that came with the meal was aiteee. I’ll be back! But only b/c its so darned cheap.

Was walking around and saw this stand outside. Was hunger and went to see what it was about. Was happy to see that you get 4 tacos and a drink for 4 bucks. Was surprised at the size at first as it was a human sized taco. Was hit in the face by the full taste of the tacos. It doesn’t hurt that it was on Manhattan Place which reminded me a bit of home. Stood and ate as there were some seats but those were taken. Drink was a cinnamon tasting refreshing drink that helped calm the increasing spicy taste you get after consuming more of those nice tacos. Great cheap eat with tons of value. Not the best décor as its near a car wash and an empty lot which was being used for recycling. So not a date place unless its understood you both need to save some dough.

This place had 4 carne asada tacos + horchata for 3.99!!! Talk about cheap! and tacos aren’t bad either! My friend introduced me to this place years ago, it’s hole in the wall, and I got it to go when I all of sudden had cravings for taco. Def’ a spot I go back for more, if I am in the area. Try it!

Tried the standards: asada, chorizo, cabeza, and lengua. Good shit. Cabeza and lengua very tender, juicy, and came in big meaty chunks. Asada was good, tasted lime-marinated? Minimal fat and gristle. Chorizo was really good too. Like I said, good shit. Looks kinda sketch, some drunk folks rolling through here(9pm on a Tuesday) but hey, that’s part of the LA taco experience right?

I was looking for a quick place and remembered this one while driving on Pico. I ordered two carne asada tacos, two al pastor, and one carne asada torta. The tacos were just okay. The torta was not really good. I’ve had way better tacos at random taco trucks that tasted way better than these. I think I tasted more grease on them than anything else LOL. The torta was nothing to order again. I doubt I’d go back here… even though they are just $ 1.

Wow… no one has reviewed this place? The meat here is GOOD! It’s not the best, but it’s always flavorful, and after about 6pm, all the condiments are outside. Like the salsa, guacamole, radishes, onions/cilantro, and carrots/jalapenos. There’s two picnic tables, and no indoor seating. It’s next to a car wash, and is generally considered to be «ghetto». I myself, consider this a decent area, and no where near ghetto. I’ve over heard USC students saying, «yeah dawg, you have to come to the hood for good Mexican food.» What little do they know. You walk up to the side window, order your food, take your ticket, and pick it up at the other window. I usually get the carne asada, but the chicken here is good too. Never dry, and always flavorful. It’s not the best I’ve had, but it’s better then most taco places. Not sure, but they seem to be open until at least 3am. There’s hardly anything but Mexicans coming here, and that probably says a lot. If you go in the late-evenings, sometimes they’ll have roasted onions/jalapenos. It’s to the left, inside the pick up window. Just reach in and grab what you like. A very small hole in the wall, but a GREAT taco none the less! Minus 1 star, for always having drunk old Mexican ladies hitting on you(I mean REALLY old and REAAAAAAAALLY drunk!).
