Cozy place, love the tribe called quest playing consistently, it gives the place a chill calm and relaxed vibe here at 2 in the morning. The coffee is great and does not rip you off in price. I prefer house black coffee, which delivered on a great punctual time. The food came in fresh in under 20 minutes though somehow the venue was slightly packed. Once my dojo Burger came I couldn’t not put it down and before I knew it I enjoyed the whole thing and o swear I zoned out and ignored everyone while eating the entire burger in sweet silence, and I’m a talkative person if you can’t tell. Will revisit and recommend.

I love the outside sitting area facing Downtown street. There’s a varied menu, so everyone can pick smth. As a vegetarian and a milk free person, I’ve chosen a plate with humus/pita/veggies. And it was delicious and well executed. Everything is fresh and off the sheff’s hands. Service was good and fast. I am totally approving this café for a lunch stop.

Wait a second! What the heck is going on here?! I know I’ve reviewed this place before. I’ve been eating at LA Café’ for years!!! (sighs…) I’m convinced that Unilocal has a TOTAL sense of humor; a dark, sinister one and if my buddy Cameron can review LA Café’ in Haiku, then I should definitely be able to follow up in Cinquain. _________________ LA-Café’ 1 DTLA’s Treasure 12 24 Hour Delivery 123 All Day Breakfast + Burgers & Wraps 12345 Affordable 1 (I screwed up a previous Cinquain within another review as I was beneath the impression each line was to be based upon syllables. Evidently it’s all supposed to be based upon the actual verbiage used). Whoopsies–

Fastest delivery I’ve ever had in LA and fantastic food! I never leave Unilocal reviews and logged in specifically to give this place the best rating possible. Delivery was 20 min sooner than expected and the food was amaze!

The chicken pesto is pretty great. Fries are a little salty, maybe ask for the seasoning on the side.

Its Wonderful Wed again!!! I finally dropped by LA Café after so many years of closing down places on Spring St: The Exchange, The Falls, Spring St Bar and Grill, and now the Reserve(they should just close that place period!). LAC is open 24/7, delivers in DTLA, and is located on Spring, in between 6th&7th Sts, diagonally across from The Falls. LAC serves simple fare, but also has fancy items like a lobster grilled cheese($ 10.99). We ordered Yo mama’s meatloaf sliders($ 8.99 | 3 sliders and chips), and fries($ 3.99). The sliders were very good. The meat was moist and there was a pickle on top of each one. The chips were also really good. They were nicely seasoned and not greasy. Likewise, the fries hit the spot too. They came out crispy & hot, and the portion was large for the price: All 4 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, its small. There are a couple of seats inside, and a few tables outside. However, it works for this place: 4 Stars. The service was cool. The peeps who took our orders, and delivered our food were both nice. Additionally, the food came out quickly: 4 Stars. LAC is not the first place I would eat early in the evening, but its the first sit down place I would go to late nite. There are too many mediocre food trux late nite, and LAC offers a nice, reasonably priced alternative.

I love their 24hr delivery. It is a life savor when working nights at the hospital. Haven’t had much opportunity trying different things but I loooooove their falafel wrap(without olives, hate olives). And I feel like it’s not as unhealthy eating it at midnight: D Although their cappuccino tasted weird…

Bomb burgers and coffee. Location is on a busy street with a lot of creeps walking by, but that’s the city life. Pretty small, but hip. I’ve noticed that they are open 24 hours as well. I’d recommend it to anyone.

I tried the lobster sandwich it was very good you had the option to substitute the chips for fries for an extra $ 2 but I just got the chips that were included apparently they’re made in house. The seats can be limited and can be a tight squeeze so I recommend checking out seating before you get your order to stay

I have had about half of the items on the menu and I’ve got to say the food here is delicious. I’m not sure what you’d call the menu though as it is not quite traditional American cuisine. Warning: many of the items are heavy on cheese; not that I’m complaining. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable considering the quantities served. The chili cheese fries, for instance, are so liberal I usually have to take about half of them home with me simply because I can’t finish them there. Actually, this is the perfect«after hours» dish to share with a date. My current favorite dish is the Pesto Bacon Bagel; it is both filling and flavorsome. Anything coming out of the kitchen also looks appetizing. Presentation IS important after all. The staff is friendly, fast, and professional. They seem to genuinely like their customers. Best of all this is a 24÷7÷365 establishment and they deliver. Fair warning though, there is a delivery fee of $ 3.25(as of 1⁄2016) and that is not a tip. Finally, if you see a dish you like and don’t want a particular ingredient included, ask for a modification. They might surprise you with their flexibility.

I have never seen or stepped foot into this establishment. I work in DTLA and often get lunch delivered from LA Café, so this review is based on their delivery service and food taste. Delivery service– no, it’s not free. delivery is $ 3.25 I believe, which is fair enough though free is always nice :) I take lunch around 1PM, and usually have to place my order by 11:45 for them to deliver it by 1. So if you want to eat at 12 and it’s 11:30 right now, this may not be the place for you. Food– Food is good here. I’ve read some pretty bad reviews based on their breakfast food which I have never tried. I consistently get the chipotle chicken wrap(no beans) and I am such a fan. the only issue I see with this place is that they always tend to mess up on my coworkers order. I don’t know what it is but they literally always mess hers up. I mean, how hard is it to «add mustard»? regardless I am a fan!

Small bakery with sandwiches and dessert. I had a chocolate croissant and a smoothie. The smoothies are powder based and were okay. I forgot to use my 10% off for checking in — nbd. The croissant didn’t seem very fresh. The staff was really confused on orders that day and kept asking my table if we ordered waffles. There is limited indoor seating and plenty of outdoor. This is very reasonably priced place, but it didn’t have anything great or memorable. It might be a good local spot, but for a tourist, I think I am going to pass.

Wife and I walked in because it looked good. I had a dbl cappuccino with almond milk and she had a vanilla latte with almond milk. Both were so very satisfying. The cappuccino was as dry as she could make it for me and she nailed it! The vanilla latte was deliciously sweet while being perfectly espresso based. Temp was perfect, service was prompt, price was just right, open 24hrs, smiles on their faces! I cannot attest to the food or anything else but the staff was wonderful and this was at 745am! I will be returning to enjoy the food and of course another coffee beverage. Can I just say, hats off to all coffee shops using Califia Barista blend almond milk. Best best best almond milk. I have become particular to this brand. LA café uses it and that is a win.

As a frequent customer over the years I’d give this place 3.5 stars. 8 out of 10 times the food is decently good, sometimes better, sometimes worse. Customer service is always awkward when I come in cuz its always a mad house. Most of the cashier’s they hire are kind of rude hippyish people, but it is downtown. Parking is a joke but thats not their fault. Lobster grilled cheese is delicious the first time you order it but its a bit too cheesy and gives most people –like me– upset stomach afterward as the lobster isn’t top quality. The salmon salad was my favorite but they took it off the menu. Falafel wrap is really good. I sometimes sub chicken for a healthier option. I’ve had the kitchen sink breakfast sandwich which was good. The berries and granola is great and is made fresh in store. Fresh OJ is my favorite here! Shakes and desserts are good too. Love that it’s open 24 hours and they deliver.

My wife and I must have walked 10 blocks after leaving the Staples Center on New Years at about 2am to get here. Why do you ask? Everyone kept saying«Go To LA Café,» for late night food. Since Über was nowhere to be found and neither were any taxis, we were made to hoof it and while I was tired, I wasn’t going to be getting any sympathy from my wife who was wearing 6 inch Christian Louboutin heels. Once we got here, it was just getting crowded so my wife went inside to order and I sat outside like an idiot in the frozen tundra of their patio. They really need heat lamps out there. The only reason I am giving it 4-stars is for the lack of heat lamps on the patio and the ridiculously slow service after ordering. It took about 45 minutes to get our order which was the pastrami sandwich, fries, the chips and a few other things. The line was out the door eventually so I can understand it taking time but they should have been quicker. That said, the pastrami sandwich was fantastic. It really hit all sensory points for a person in late night starvation mode. The chips were also terrific and not bland or flimsy. Nice little spot which we now know exists for when we are Downtown.

Late night options in LA are limited and mediocre for the most part. La Café is a place I’d come back to if everything else was closed. I had the crispy breakfast tacos. They were borderline nasty and I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else order them ever in life. The fries here however are pretty good so make sure to order those. I’m trying to cut back on cholesterol intake so I passed on the lobster grilled cheese, But I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews about it. Again, this is a reasonable option if it’s 2am and you’re either drunk, starving or both.

GROSSGROSSGROSS. Ordered a grilled cheese with meat. received a lobster grilled cheese. Had to give myself an epi-pen injection due to being allergic to lobster. GROSSGROSSGROSS When I called the woman blamed the kitchen. Thanks, now u can pay me 80 $ for having to use an epi-pen. I see Tasha responded. The order was put online and STATED it was a SPECIAL order. I took a bite of the sandwich before looking at it, my mistake. I immediately had to do the epi-pen once I realized it was lobster. Tasha also emailed me asking for my phone number & when the order was placed. I responded to the email with NO response back.

My local! Service is a bit disorganized. I wish they had a pickup line because so many locals order take out online or via phone. It sucks that you have to wait in the normal linr. Food is actually pretty good. Much better than a diner, reasonably priced, decent vegetarian options. Surprisingly the bakery items are good. I always thought they were crappy Sysco dry baked goods, but they’re actually buttery and tasty and not dry. Maybe they’re higher end Sysco, I don’t know who their distributor is. The breakfast tacos are seriously to die for. The shell is fresh and fried and somehow doesn’t get soggy. They’re delicious at 4 am when you’re wasted but also at a respectable time when you have to go to work. I’m boring and usuallys order the grilled cheese which comes with free chips and tomato basil soup. Food qualify is always consistent, not amazing, but their prices make up for it. Easiest is to order online and pick up. Their online ordering is reliable and takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Sitting here is ok but I prefer to eat in my apartment. There is WiFi but the chairs are really uncomfortable and I’m getting old and worry about my back a lot.

I’ve gotten the lobster grilled cheese a couple times, which is good comfort food for me. The orange bang smoothie was delicious. Too bad the rude cashier that worked at 1PM on 10⁄24 couldn’t even manage to say thank you. He takes the cake for shitty customer service and makes me not want to come back.

I’ve never actually been here, but I always order delivery since it’s 24 hours. You have to order over $ 20 for them to deliver and they actually charge another $ 2.99 or so to deliver, and they expect tip. The plus side is they actually come into your apartment complex instead of waiting out on the street like TG Express does. I thought the lobster grilled cheese would be amazing, but turns out it was nothing special. I felt like it was dipped in oil, and after finishing half of it, I was already too full(probably from all the oil). You can upgrade from chips to salad for an extra dollar, but I think the buzz chips are the best part of the meal. Only thing that I’d crave from here are the chips… and that’s pretty sad. If I remember correctly, their strawberry smoothie was delicious, but pricey. Also don’t get the side of grilled veggies, they were disgusting… and chili cheese fries were average.

3 words: Lobster Grilled Cheese. I come here almost every time after clubbing at ExchangeLA, located conveniently across the street XDLA Café is hands down the best drunchies! This place is open 24⁄7 and does deliveries so your hunger cravings can be satisfied anytime, anywhere. My favorites here are the Lobster Grilled Cheese and the Turkey Avocado Panini… So. Freaking. Good. Not gonna lie, the Lobster Grilled Cheese is pretty heavy so you might want to share this with a friend. Each sandwich also comes with fresh potato chips or fries – both are very very delicious. I’ve had the burger here and it was pretty good too, but I recommend getting the sandwiches for sure. I’ve also tried their breakfast set with eggs, croissant, sausage, etc. It’s the standard nothing special worth mentioning. LA Café offers other food items such as fresh fruits, yogurt, salads, pastries, etc. Parking will definitely be hard to find because it’s located in the heart of DTLA :\ so I recommend über-ing or walking here, if possible.

I have super mixed feelings about LA Café. Part of me is happy that they are great with delivery and open 24 hours. I mean, there aren’t very many places in downtown that are open 24 hours… yet. Every time I order from here I always tell myself I’ll never do it again, and yet, I’ve done it again time after time. The food is okay. But for how much I alway end up paying, I think it is way overpriced for the quality. I’ve tried a couple different salads from LA Café, and they have all been really underwelming. You get the most ridiculous portion of super blehhh salad. Of all the ones I’ve tried, the kale salad has been the best. And that’s not saying much. I love their outdoor patio seating, but it is 100% guaranteed(and tested) that a homeless person will come by and beg you for money while watching you eat. It’s so uncomfortable and unappetizing.
