Small little restaurant, they do accept credit cards. First time i tried barbacoa we had them in tacos, very strong flavor, but super tender and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. Freshly handmade tortillas with your order, what a delight! We had menudo which was not greasy and very tasty, really enjoyed the menudo. The chilaquiles verdes were nice and crispy, topped with two sunny side eggs, it was Really good. We shall return. Place is small limited tables, but wait is worth it. Street Parking is a pain but keep looking you will find some.

I had dinner on Saturday with my girlfriend. The place is small but clean. The waiter was so helpful and friendly. The barbacoa recipe is from Pachuca, Hidalgo in Mexico. We ordered barbacoa plate, barbacoa enchiladas with«pulque». The barbacoa was so delicious and very soft. The Pulque was so refreshing and cold that I’d have had one more glass. The pulque is strong on the alcohol content. I recommend you to bring your family. Note: don’t drive after drinking pulque. I will be back.

I’m giving this place 4 out of 5 stars, this is why . When I got here for a late lunch at 2:30 pm the lady behind the counter politely advised us they ran out of Barbacoa and they only had Mixiote style borrego .I followed her recommendation and-ordered Mixiote style Barbacoa and it was absolutely AMAZiNG ! We also ordered consome de borrego and it was a nice addition to the tortillas hechas a mano wchich we used to make tacos out of the Mixiote …

This is the best mexican food I’ve tried in this area. I got the chuletas and it was bomb. I recommend that and the mixiote.

Food is great. The service good. The only thing i didnt like was the pulque is not what i expected from a place that claims the authentic hidalgo taste. Other than that. I do recomend this place. Food its very good.

We love this place to sit down and enjoy our meal there or we buy our barbacoa by the pound and we take it to go. Its so good each and every time. But the other day, my 4 year old spilled her milk shake and instead of offering her a new one, the lady there did noting. I cleaned it up and felt a bit disappointed,

Amazing lamb gordita. Holy crap. She made the gordita shell right spot too. Pulled dough out, pressed, and fried. Amazing salsas as well. I’m drooling as I write this.

This is a small and welcoming place. I stopped by in the morning for some breakfast. The green chilaquiles did not dissapoint and were especially good. I also tried the carne asada torta which was yummy, except for the fact that they don’t chop the asada up. Big let down when I took a bite and the entire piece of asada came out. If the meat was cut, it would be a pretty perfect torta. The salsas are delicious and fresh, I loved the green salsa. I’m not a fan of lamb or goat, but everyone seems to come to this place for the barbacoa. I have to admit, it looks pretty good. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any of their drinks. I’ve been wanting to try their sangria and margaritas. Can’t wait to return for their delicious food and a glass of sangria.

I brought my son here because he wanted to try the pulque– an alcoholic drink made from the maguey plant. I drank a michelada which was tasty and refreshing. We ordered a barbacoa taco, a gordita de chicharon and carne asada tacos. The barbacoa was nice and tender. The chicharon was prepared differently from how I’m used to eating it but it was good. My son really liked the carne asada tacos. The tortillas and gordita pockets are made by hand and yummy. The consummé they serve before the meal was a bit too bland for my liking as was the green salsa. The red salsa was delish and tasted like the salsa my mom used to make for posole. All in all a nice experience with my son, showing him the neighborhood in which I grew up and trying the nectar of the Aztec gods!

Best michelada I ever had. It’s light, lemony and refreshing. The barbacoa is authentic and bomb. I had the barbacoa taco(super good, add the green salsa to it) barbacoa gordita(small but filling!), 3 plate taco(asada, al pastor) and complimentary fideo. The fideo is light. Our waitress was awesome. This was a great find! Will definitely be coming back.

I came in and did not know what to choose, everything looked so great. Let me start of by saying WOOW I had an agua de horchata and it was delicious, my friend had Jamaica and I could not make up my mind about which was better. If you want a foodgasm the barbacoa here is a burst of flavor in your mouth. It was not dry and it was so soft. My friend ordered green chilaquiles and they were just as great. Let alone the salsas were amazing. I can only wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. I will be back every weekend lolol

Took over the Antojitos Carmen spot about two weeks ago. Only tried the set of street tacos($ 4.50 for two tongue, one beef), and it was average. Service without a smile. And I spotted a microwave… Want Antojitos Carmen back!
