La Barata Supermarket

Our neighborhood grocery store and it completely sucks. I don’t shop here and I suggest nobody does. They have the food that no one wants. Fruit is half way rotten. The meat department it completely gross. Hopefully they sale to soon and build something else. Cause this place is a waste of time.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP with a NEW NAME, something like INTERNATIONAL FOOD MART. More middle eastern/​Armenian food and the usual Mexican-​American staples.

Muy. Fresca. La. Verduras y. La fruta el servicio muy. Bueno. Y. Todo. Muy limpio

I would leave 0 stars if I could. This place is horrible! I stopped by on my way home and bought a couple pounds of ground meat, I got home and the stench coming from the bag as soon as I opened it was disgusting. The meat had spoiled and would have definitely made me sick if I hadn’t noticed. Take my word for it, drive the extra 2 minutes to Vallarta down the street.

this place is right around the corner of my home, it’s convenient to go there in case of an emergency. actually there is better service at the jewelry counter placed strangely enough at the left hand side of the entrance like I said I ONLY COME IN HERE IF IT’S AN EMERGENCY… like when I ran out of cilantro, only to go purchase it there all full of bugs and wilted for like 2 dollars, produce is always looking sad. i avoid the meat area a strange smell lingers there. all the lady that work there a pleasant no problem, but the crazy swarm of idiots that you might run into is a whole other thing, and the owner, he’s a complete asshole!! he’s rude and just a complete jerk. he gets really mad if he feels that you need a bag, so he charges you for them without asking, then he gets really mad when you tell him to remove that charge that you don’t need a bag… it’s only cilantro, besides at 2 dollars freaking give me a free bag!!! the floor all around the store is really sticky like they wash it down with soda or something.
