If you’re looking for a great way to buy fruit and vegetables at an inexpensive price, the LA Wholesale Produce Market is great. When you show up(assuming you’ve driven your car), you’ll want to get a free parking permit from one of the security guards. This will prevent your car from getting towed. The market works like this… 1) You order the produce(either in person or over the phone) — This part can be frustrating if you don’t know who to talk to or what you want to buy. Each vendor has multiple people at different stations and each one specializes in different produce. 2) You pay for the produce 3) You receive the produce When my wife and I went for the first time it was very confusing. We had a hard time figuring out what to do and how to do it. But our second visit was much better. We got our free parking permit, my wife stayed in the car, and I went around to a few of the vendors to get my fruit and veggies. You can expect prices like this: 1) 40 lbs. Navel Oranges = $ 26 2) 56 Count Fuji Apples = $ 27 3) 2.5 lb Bags of Spinach = $ 3 each 4) 25 lbs. Carrots = $ 8
