Absolutely one of the rudest shop owners I have ever met! My sisters and I visited last week and we were looking at a beaded bag. He grabbed the bag out of my sister’s hand and asked if we were from out of town. When I replied yes, he said«I could tell». And he didn’t mean it in a good way! There are plenty of other places to shop where you will be treated well! I would NOT recommend this shop!

Awesome selection for decent price. They have everything women’s vintage you could possibly need. Definitely worth a browse, really cool stuff.

This is a tiny shop on Melrose that sells some vintage clothes and accessories. And I mean it’s pretty tiny. I’d really like to say something nice about this place but I wasn’t super impressed with what expensive few items they did carry. It wasn’t really what I was looking for. If you’re in the market for some fun vintage clothes, I’d skip this place and walk further down to the other stores. It’s too tiny to make the drive worth it just for this.

Super cool find. I loved the purses and costume jewelry they had here. The clothes were a miss for me but I did try on a fur coat. Maybe next time I’ll get lucky and find an outfit.

I recently visited the city for the first time and stopped at a large number of vintage shops. This place was my introduction to a certain type of LA vintage store, in which the stock is totally ordinary yet the prices are astronomical. I’ve been buying vintage all across the country(and online) for over a decade, and this was actually the first time I’d encountered storewide prices like this. We’re talking $ 90, $ 150, $ 225, and more for flimsy ‘70s dresses. Contrary to what some other reviews suggest, the stock is not remarkable in quality or refinement or curated-ness. Sure, there are some designer labels, but you’re a chump if you think that automatically warrants prices in the hundreds of dollars. These stores must cater to really wealthy and fairly undiscerning people who can/will drop $ 150+ for the kind of dress you could get for $ 10 at Goodwill(if you’re willing to hunt) or $ 30-$ 75 at a curated brick-and-mortar or online vintage store. There was a small sale rack up front with _slightly_more reasonable prices, but nothing particularly good. Sadly, I didn’t find much that I would have wanted even if it had been affordable. I like supporting vintage stores and almost always find something to buy, even if it’s very small. But I actually could not find a single garment or accessory here that I could justify purchasing.

I’m not a vintage clothing seeker but this shop really does have something going for it. Check out the vintage belts. Ladies… this is some really cool stuff. This is not your granny’s closet.

LA Rose Boutique is among the most unique women’s clothiers in Los Angeles. Complete with exquisite vintage fabrics and creative contemporary designs which are stylish, fashionable and utterly original. LA Rose Boutique carries the perfect blend of yesterday and today, the fashions are inspired, the designs fresh and the store is delightfully distinctive. A must-see-for-yourself kind of boutique.
