Not sure if it was just bad luck when I did my first order or if this was meant as a lesson in humility. The result is that I can no longer complain about Kushimbo as the issue is fully resolved. Calling in guarantees food is ready in 15 minutes. Staff is very consistent in their performance and the food is good.

The service is great! They are super friendly. I highly recommend The Teriyaki Chicken plater. It was really good, the salad and its dressing were delicious. And the chicken itself was quite delicious. Great for lunch and dinner! Definitely coming back again :)

this has been my go to restaurant in korea town. It is in a strip mall and sometimes parking is tight… they have a valet there that will keep your keys. but they have never actually charged me… if I pick up… I park myself and in and out easily. Since construction is finially done on Wilshire… it is often easy to find parking there. ABOUT THE FOOD THO! I love it. I alternate between the chicken terraki and the beef. It is always delicious and the portions are generous. I personally love their cabbage salad but usually like a little more dressing than they typically add. no problem. Their California rolls are always delicious and a good sized order for the price. the people are friendly and its always nice to see them! I LOVE KUSHIMBO! Great find! :)

Kuishimbo has sat quietly in a mid-​wilshire strip mall since the 70’s consistently filling styrofoam containers with rice, fish and house teriyaki sauce.
My wife’s family has been consistently devouring said bowls probably from about that time.
I am not going to decent into a debate about whether Kuishimbo is or is not the best teriyaki in L.A. — I am just going to say that since I was introduced to it by my wife it is the rice bowl that all others are judged against in my palette.
Recently remodeled, and somewhat expanded menu — their core focus remains on these amazing rice bowls.
I cannot actually speak to the menu at all, because I have always gotten, and will always get the same thing here. Salmon teriyaki combo w/​rice + extra sauce (this is key).
Great food for kids… great food for me — long live Kushimbo!

Came here for lunch on a weekend. Was full with people trying to get food for lunch. Nonetheless, we were able to order quickly, find a place to sit and got prompt service.
Doesn’t matter what location it is I got my favorite the #4 its the best of both worlds! The restaurant here looks a lot nicer than the other spot. The quality of food is the same. Parking situation sucks. Just park around the corner! I highly recommend you come to kushimbo if your in the area! You’ll love it like I have all the years! Has never let me down. Enjoy!
