Old facility but good customer service. The locker room upstairs is really dirty. However, their swimming class is awesone. Great instructor. It’s about 140 for 1 month lesson. Highly recommend

KLG is really a hole-in-the-wall Korean spa/gym. I frequent Korean spas all the time and this seems to be the only one that I truly get stared at the entire time. I think it is because this one isn’t frequented by non-Koreans too much. Either way, the $ 40 price for entrance fee and scrub is well worth it. The food here is also good. Just prepare to be examined visually and try and enjoy all the amenities of this great spa!

The rating and information provided is not based on any spa services. It is only based on the cleanliness and condition of the Men’s Sauna facility, and offerings. Spa Type: Korean Admission: — $ 15(Day Pass) — 12 month memberships available Showers(17): — 11 Standing — 6 Seated Saunas(4): — Wet/Steam Room — Dry Sauna — Salt Room — Hardwood Charcoal Room Pools(2): — Hot(Jacuzzi)(107°F) — Cold Plunge(62°F) Body Scrub: $ 40(includes admission) Scrub Tables: 1 Grooming Stations: 2, each with a sink. TV Lounge: Yes — 6 leather recliners, 3 pool deck recliners &2 couches Quiet/Sleeping Room: Sort of? There is a little nook off the TV lounge with 3 recliners, but it’s not dark or quiet. Gym: If you are so inclined. Towels: Small towels available, no limit. Overall Impression: The facility is larger than most, and split between 2 floors. When taking my first shower, I was annoyed with the fact that not one of the 17 showers had any soap? Only shampoo and conditioner. It wasn’t until on my way into the pool area, there was one small dish of soap bits. I guess you’re expected to grab a piece before you shower. Only 2 pools and they aren’t very big, but the temperatures are good. The general condition of the place feels a bit run-down, but I’ve seen worse. Oh, and they are guilty of 2 pet-peeves: cheap, useless Q-tips and paper envelopes for drinking cups.

Some people might like it. Some wont! Im hella Korean so this spots the spot for me. Going here as a big group might not be the thing, but if you want & need some quiet time with you and 2+ this place is it. If you want to get the scrub /scrub and the massge. you need to get it all done by Sunnie! Tuesdays are Sunnies’ days off. Happy scrubbing!

I’ve been coming here since I was a child for swimming lessons and recommend it to all my friends to take their swim lessons here. Now that they opened a sauna, I enjoy most of my weekends here to relax after my swim. I’ve gotten massages and facials as my treat. I decided to sign up for the monthly membership because I was so satisfied. It’s very clean and comfortable. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. I’ve seen some dance classes going on at the gym(they have a gym too!) which I am very interested in trying out. I highly recommend this facility for a day of relaxation.

If it were possible I’d give this place 1 star. Having been born and raised in Los Angeles, I’m no stranger to korean bath-houses. I’ve gone to every one in Ktown and can honestly say that none is quite as bad as this place. For starters, this isn’t in the best part of ktown. Since it’s primarily frequented by women, I’d definitely caution against staying past sunset. Second, the facilities are run down. The hot tub fits 6 people max. The rooms stink of sweat and are in disarray(tiles falling off the walls, stains on the floors). The outdoor jacuzzi has even been filled with rocks and is now a «pond». Third, the employees at this place are as sheisty as the surrounding area. I paid for a scrub and a massage and they took the money for both, but told the scrub lady to only do a scrub(how nice of them to pocket the extra money at my expense). The scrub lady herself was AWFUL: 1) complained about how I was sleeping too soundly before she got me(um, hello, isn’t this supposed to be a place of relaxation where you sleep in the designated rooms!!! and way to be professional, gossiping about clients when you think they can’t hear); 2) her long talons which scratched my skin while she gave me the poorest scrub of my life(she didnt even scrub behind my ears or in between my fingers, which is standard protocol); 3) she threw ice cold water on me(after I called her on it she said hot water wasn’t coming out of her faucet… total bs); 4) she twisted my ankle with her untrained«massage» and after I screamed out in pain, she kept on with her brutish«massage» which is really just squeezing the skin(real talent here!). I had to scream at her to stop in both korean and english on 4 separate occasions! I walked off the table sobbing and limping. And of course not a single employee asked if I was ok or if they needed to call someone. It seems that the employees have no professionalism or professional training for that matter. When I approached management to talk about the situation, the middle aged woman at the front desk stood there with her mouth open. It seems that anything beyond accepting money from people is beyond her intelligence level and job training. I tried to explain it the situation to the other two young boys at the front desk but all I got was an «I’m sorry». Clearly these people have no idea how to treat people. What a run down, back-alley dump. My experience at this place has shown me how sheisty, illegitimate, poorly run, hazardous, and unprofessional this«establishment» is. Way to embody the worst of the worst in Ktown. Whether you are a Ktown regular or just pop in and out occasionally, do yourself a favor. Stay away from this place if you value your dignity, dollar, and safety. There are so many other bath-houses where you will be treated well, with respect and appreciation for your business and surrounded by a gorgeous, clean setting. Try Aroma, Grand, HK, Century, Wynn… the list is endless. As for this place, hopefully the CA board of health will make an inspection… I’m sure they’d have a list about a mile long of the health code violations at this place(hmmmmm, unsanitary beds, rooms that stink of sweat, unlicensed«massage therapists»). This place should be condemned/shut down and as for the owners, who hire people like this and promote such business practices… dont even get me started! I try to think positively and believe in karma, so I know this place won’t be open much longer! Thank god!

I thought I didn’t have the Korean gene of sweating my ass off in a hot room and meticulously scrubbing every inch of my body down to the bone AND enjoying it. But rest assured, I do. My mom has tried coaxing me to go to jjim jil bangs(saunas) since I was 16. But I always objected for fear of being buck nekkid with a bunch of other ladies. Strangers! In a public bath! Mom, are you kidding? It wasn’t until a few years ago that I have made peace with the idea and happily skip along when I’m down in LA. KLG is a pretty sweet place though; $ 15 for the day, $ 10 each if you’re purchasing a set of 10 tickets. The facility has a number of hot sauna rooms, a pool, a few hot tubs, a little restaurant and more. I knocked off one star, though, because my mom said the food is awful. The main sauna rooms are upstairs, alongside a common area with couches, lounge chairs and a TV, a place to get a mani/pedi and skin care regimens. But the rooms are super relaxing. I would suggest avoid going on weekends, because there’s a chance you’ll be packed in there like a sardine. But my favorite thing is that the rooms have a huge bed of hot, smooth rocks and pebbles to lie on(don’t worry, they’re covered with a sheet so it’s not burning hot), which I really like for some reason. It’s almost zen-like. Grab a cushion for your head, lay your towel down and well, just relax and you’ll see the sweat pouring out of every pore. I tried to sleep because it was so comfortable, but sleeping while sweating just doesn’t work for me. A lady next to me began snoring within 5 minutes of plopping down. The rooms aren’t burning hot, but stay in there for awhile, and you’ll definitely feel the need for some cold air. So I take breaks: 15 – 30 minutes inside the room, 5 minutes outside. I do this 2 – 3 times, then head to the bathing room, where you then scrub away and see the dirt come off your body. My mom likes to call them thin noodles, because they really look like that when you scrub up and down. Gross, I know, but it’s something to behold, I swear. After the session and a shower, you come out feeling soft as a baby’s bottom.
