I went back to finish my sleeve; Kirk’s vision is just amazing. I basically walk into the session allowing him and his creativity to just explode on my human canvas. I always tell people, you get what you pay for, and you really get a piece of art when you hire him to work on you. His studio is professional, clean, and he’s really fast and precise with his work.
I noticed this guy posted some ridiculous comment about losing his $ 100 deposit because he couldn’t make his appointment. Don’t you think that’s the point of having a deposit? Lol. Ignore the ignorant and you can use my review (with photos) and others as a true testament of how talented he is. Best tattoo artist in Los Angeles, hands down.

Kirk Alley has been a professional tattoo artist for over 20 years. His knowledge and tattoo experience is tough to beat. I am lucky to have a large piece on my leg from Kirk. The artwork he created explodes with color and was customized to fit my leg perfectly. Allowing Kirk the freedom to be creative and do the tattoo in a way he knew would come out best was a very good call on my end. Thanks Kirk!

This fellah is a con artist. We had our first appointment and we met in his home where I put a down payment of $ 100 using paypal. We set a date, but my work later forced me to travel. I tried to reschedule and finally reaching Kirk via text message, he said I’d have to forfeit the first payment and pay more. What a joke. There are so many other artists out there who work out of reputable shops. Stay clear of this scam!

I researched tattoo artists before choosing Kirk. I liked his portfolio and ethic. He endeavors to be sure you will be happy with the result before beginning. His approach is as an artist first.
I love his work and he has done all my ink. His use of colour is fantastic. Not as cheap as some, but well worth it. After all, the tattoo will be there for a long time.

I met with Kirk in 2002 after seeing his art work on the cover of Tattoo Magazine. Then we agreed to work together to make my tattoo magic. Magic was made, 46 hours of tattooing later. I started apprenticing January 2010 and now realize what a give he has shined over me.

After years of looking at other studios and artist’s I stumbled upon Kirk. I wanted my own design and Kirk let me ramble on about the cosmos and why it had to be and bla… bla. bla…Kirk said give me a couple of days to think and work on it. I came back a few days later and there it was. The stencil. It had all the elements I wanted. Five hours later and it was on/​in me. The colors were great. I’ve had it for years now and it still looks good. It’s the only tat I have. I love it. Kirk rocks.

Kirk is one of the best tattoo artists I have come across. He is the only one I go to for any work. He has a unique style and adds an art element not found anywhere else. His colors are outstanding as well .I never thought I would get color until I saw his work.
