the burrito style sushi roll is amazingly good, i was able to share with my husband. This Everything we had was veggie, there was plenty of veg friendly options. Can’t speak to the fish items, but the veg burrito and tempura green beans were super yummy! Really great service, too.

Yes this is a food truck so I was a little squeamish to order raw fish from here. But boy was I wrong. It was delicious and reasonable priced. I ordered the«I dare you«roll and it was wonderful(although not as spicy as u thought it would be– a mild dare). Everything I saw coming off the truck looked amazing.

Some of the best sushi burritos and hand rolls ever served from a food truck. I love these guys! @thesushidiva

I was too lazy to cook dinner tonight and these guys came through! We are lucky enough to have food truck night at our apartment complex once a week and I was stoked this was sushi truck night. Great rolls, really fast service! We got the Batman burrito which was our favorite along with If You Dare. Perfect proportion for two people to share and enjoy.

I had the Superman Burrito, Shrimp Tempura Rolls and Fried Green Beans. The burrito was amazing, the rolls were great considering it’s food truck sushi and the green beans a nice touch(I’ll eat fried anything). The sauce for the fried green beans was nice too! A tad pricey but worth it when you have fresh, quality ingredients, major originality points(who ever imagined a sushi burrito!?) and proper customer service. It’s made fresh so don’t fret the wait. Dig this truck a lot!

Was sketched out at first because I never associate sushi with food truck… but this was great! There are a ton of options! I had a roll and a jalapeño bomb. Both were great, good quality ingredients and everything super fresh. Great service, line moves pretty fast!

Ok, so I was a bit worried about getting sushi from a food truck… but my worries are totally unwarranted when it comes to Kimbobrex. I got a Caterpillar Burrito, and it was really delicious. Normally I can eat quite a few sushi rolls, but one was plenty done as a burrito. Definitely recommend this truck for others to try! Only reason this gets 4 instead of 5 stars was the wait. For something uncooked, it still took about 30 min to receive with very few people in line before me.

Back in February of this year, I was at the Atomic Eats Food Truck Meet in Cerritos and discovered the Kimbobrex. Would you believe, I started my Unilocal review that very night, in the midst of which I experienced a senior moment, and failed to complete my review. Did I enjoy Kimbobrex? Suffice to say I check the Atomic Eats Facebook page weekly hoping Kimbobrex is in the lineup. Since February I have had the pleasure of sampling several of their tasty rolls, all a treat, but I have developed to a very real addiction to the ‘If You Dare’ roll. No kidding, I crave this thing! Spicy tuna roll topped with albacore, onion, jalapeño slices, and spicy onion dressing. So flavorful and satisfying. As luck would have it, Kimbobrex is in Cerritos tonight so you know what I’m having for dinner. I skipped lunch so I’ve already informed my hubby I am ordering 2IYD, and I am not sharing. Trust me, if you have the opportunity to try their sushi, do it.

These guys came near my work and the food is wonderful! I had the vegan burrito and the tempura green beans. Not a lot of food trucks(especially sushi trucks!) cater to vegans and vegetarians, but these guys had selection. Awesome. And good quality. Will eat here again.

Superman Burrito — light and flavorful. Tempura Green Beans — Crunchy and fresh. The sauces — Spicy, mouth watering, and enhanced the fish. Service with a smile and a nice combo meal. Worth the wait!

After having played 3 hours of music at Romancing the Bean for Ladies Night, I was sweaty, tired and HUNGRY! Most of the food trucks were packing up to call it a night when I found this truck. I ordered the Phoenix burrito and a musabi, waited for my order and headed home. Unloading my music gear and getting changed had the food sitting for about 20 minutes but each bite was as fresh and delicious as the minute it was made. Clean fish taste, crunchy, crispy, salty, creamy avocado, perfectly cooked rice(which is often overlooked) and not skimpy like some food trucks. I heard myself saying I wish I could eat here 3 times a week if I could. Maybe I will.

If you’re squeamish about eating sushi from a food truck, get over it… because this ish is gooood. Kimbobrex has a great selection of rolls. Servings are generous and reasonably priced. Best sushi available in Bunker Hill. My faves are the If You Dare and Jalapeño Bomb. My taste in sushi is like my temper… spicy and too hot for you ;)

Pretty good food not gunna lie. I was a little skeptical when my friend brought me to a sushi bar on wheels. It was pretty delicious the sushi burritos are great sized portions for the cost I can see this company going far they have a great bitch and they get there orders out quickly as well considering how long there lines are that is. They have free ginger on the side and don’t charge for it. You have to ask for wasabi cause it’s not offered out side.

Good stuff(Sushi Burrito and Sushi rolls). I started following Kimbobrex after I found them at the Los Feliz(Mother of Good Counsel) Monday night food truck meets. Finally! I sushi burrito truck that visits the LA/Hollywood area. I love the original sushi burrito truck(Joga…) but they don’t come to LA. Kimbobrex will have to do! The sushi burritos by Kimbobrex are good, fresh and tasty. I liked the Batman and Superman burritos. They have tons of other burritos and rolls. Credit cards accepted as well. The only con to Kimbobrex was the long wait times for their burritos. But then again, you know he’s making them fresh! Sushi burritos run $ 10-$ 14.

Ok let me just say I signed onto my long forgotten Unilocal account just to give Kimbobrex the biggest thumbs up. I first tried the truck when it used to frequent my campus last year and I instantly fell in love with it. Now the truck has moved onto other places and I didn’t have it again until today. But its pretty much as awesome as I remembered it being! My roommate and I are big fans of good food and we tweeted at them hoping they’d stop by one more time to our campus. And thank the heavens above the Kimbobrex man got to our campus at FREAKING4:40AM to get a spot on the street(A lot of meh food trucks literally camp out to get a spot on this street, its crazy!!). They responded to me on twitter around 10am telling me that they were on campus to make sure I didn’t miss out. I found that super sweet and awesome! So yeah I basically was super excited when I biked to my morning class and saw the Kimbobrex truck on my way. Anyways onto the actual food LOL. If you ask, you can turn any one of the rolls into a sushirrito, so I always get the Sunkissed Roll as a sushirrito. And DANG I LOVEITSOMUCH. I never order anything else because its that good. Theres HUGE chunks of fish and the sauce has a nice lemon-y zing that I absolutely freaking love. I’m eating it as a I type this out, haha. My roommate normally gets the Superman and of course that one is also a huge winner! And although I will literally eat everything, I honestly have no problem saying Kimbobrex is far superior than Jogasaki. Around Halloween I got some Jogasaki and all I did was wish I had some Kimbobrex. Being a broke college kid makes me pretty hesitant to spend money on food thats more than 10 dollars but lemme just say I dropped 35 bucks on Kimbobrex’s food(I went ham and bought 3 sushirritos and left a tip in hopes they come back. Please come back soon haha…) without blinking an eye. This is the kinda food where you say«TREATYO’ SELF» out loud and eat everything. On one hand I wish Kimbobrex could stay on my campus forever so I can eat there everyday, but they definitely deserve more traffic! Treat yo’ self to Kimbobrex’s bomb food before it skyrockets in popularity!~

This is a review STRICTLY for the one and only thing we ate off of this truck this past Friday(11÷21÷14) at the Monterey Park Night Market, Spam musubi!!! To put it simply, I know I’m gonna butcher this but this particular musubi was what the Hawaiians would say, STRAIGHTBROKEDAMOUTH!!! ONO. ONOLICIOUS! DAKINEGRINDZ!!! Seriously! I’m not Hawaiian, but one bite of this and I was INSTANTLY taken back to the little beach behind the Duke statue in downtown Waikiki where I experienced my first taste of musubi two summers ago while visiting Oahu to celebrate my mother in law’s 60th birthday. The only thing missing for me was a piece of cheese, which would have sweetened the deal for me. I didn’t get to taste anything else from that truck, but if they put as much love into their other items, count me in!

Ordered the Superman and the Batman burrito — not only because they are my favorite superheroes but because they looked pretty tasty on the photos. My GF and I were starving and this took surprisingly long. I thought slabbing raw fish in between a pile of rice and rolling it would take a couple of minutes MAX, but this took about 10 minutes. Overall, I was slightly disappointed by the food. The Batman Burrito tasted a little weird and the Superman barely had fish it on. I mostly ate rice. For $ 11-$ 12 per burrito, I would rather go to Chipotle and get me a real one for half the price.
