Came here at 10pm for a Chocolate and Art and Nude Body Painting event. The event ran from 8pm-​2am, but arriving at 10pm, I found that there appeared to be no sign of chocolate save for some brown stains on an empty table, no bar (it was closed), and a bunch of people standing/​lying around in the outside area smoking pot. Parking was not difficult to find. I’ve not been here in the day, but at night it is a quite desolate/​abandoned looking neighborhood.
What I somewhat enjoyed seeing here (more so than the art…) was the crowd, though. A mostly white, young crowd, which I would best describe as the progeny of grungy east Hollywood & contemporary Downtown LA. Almost as if the «hipsters» of Silverlake/​Echo Park somehow found themselves at some rooftop bar like the Standard. There were lots of girls here, many in nightclub attire and in stilettos. And this was somehow mixed in with the art and live nude-​body painting.

I love this place. Went here for my friend Tony’s Bday party (he rented out a space) and it was awesome. I believe they rent it out for private events. The art worked housed in here is also beautiful. Great little place to have a party at as they have their own parking lot for guests. I dont know who owns/​manages it– but all the people at the party (and another time i’ve gone) were really nice and welcoming. Great place.
