I bought some fudge, chocolate, and a ham sandwhich from here. Although, the fudge looked good it was as hard as a brick and tasted old. I am very disappointed because it was $ 7.50 for a tiny piece of it. For that much it should be at least fresh. I bought two pieces of chocolate that were also around $ 7 each. One piece was so hard it popped three of my braces when I took a bite. So, this horribly expensive chocolate actually cost me an additional $ 150 because I had to pay for new brackets and wires. The sandwich was $ 9. First, they didn’t make it right. I asked for no tomatoes, peppers, and onions. After picking off the peppers and onions it was still gross because I could taste them. A half hour after I ate my sandwich, I got sick to my stomach. So, that ended up costing me another $ 100 in fees for the urgent care and prescriptions because I evidently got food poisoning. The service also sucked. After, I walked in the guy behind the counter asked if he could help me and then helped three ladies that came in after me. A second guy behind the counter saw me and asked to help me and I told him I wanted some chocolate behind the counter. He walked away. I should have walked out, but I really wanted some chocolate. After, I was finally helped and rung up, the guy behind the counter crumbled up my receipt and threw it away. He never asked me if I wanted my receipt. Don’t waste your time or money eating at this place.

Two stars for decent service… the fudge is not so great. My favorite is Littlejohn’s at the Farmers Market on 3rd and Fairfax. And it costs about the same. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by that, but this fudge really did not deliver at all, and I don’t recommend. :(

I was craving a Napoleon and hot chocolate so I went with my girl. The custard in the pastry was rubbery and tasted stale. My girl got a tiramisu and also stale. I’m Never going back.

The service was good, but that was possibly the worst fudge I’ve ever had in my life. It tasted like it was pre packaged and had been sitting out all day. I got the chocolate caramel which barely tasted like chocolate and I couldn’t find any actual caramel in it. The cookies and cream was better, but just didn’t feel worth eating. I actually tossed most of it out.

Just plain nasty! Got a $ 6.00 éclair that tasted like rubber. Changed it for a piece of cheesecake. Cheesecake was completely gross! Can’t believe they can screw up good old cheesecake! Total rip off!

Take a coffee and sweets break, while visiting the Dolby Theatre /Hollywood & Highland Center. This was the perfect place for a break amidst all the touristy craziness, while visiting Hollywood & Highland. It is located beneath the steps that lead to the entrance of the theatre. So, come here to step away for a second and chillax. This is a great place to do that. Their coffee is delicious, there is ice cream and some other sweet treats to fulfill any craving your sweet tooth may be having. Need your parking validated? Make sure to have your ticket with you and you can do so after your purchase. I was not sure if it was the owner or their employee working the counter during this time. The counter got busy and he was able to fill orders with ease and a pleasant attitude. It could be very difficult for one to deal with many different orders and indecisive customers, but I applaud this fellow for doing all that he can. It was a clean café, with some inside seating and even some small souvenirs.

The fudge are really good. This place may deserve 3 stars plus but the reason I give 2 stars because after I got my coffee, I ordered home made fudge. It was very small piece that didn’t wight much on the scale. So what I noticed he punched the price for the pound then when it didn’t came up much on a dollar value he canceled the transaction and charge $ 3 plus tax or $ 3.49 plus tax. I’m not a 100% sure to be honest but I felt it this way. If he have minimum of $ 3 why did he tried the wight first. So If it came over $ 3.49 he will charge me. If it’s less he will charge $ 3.49. That’s not fair. In addition if he have minimum weight it’s only fair to add more so it will come to $ 3.49 Instead he sold his customer short. Keep in mind we are talking few dollars here. It’s not the money, it’s the way he treat the customer and sold me short

I love and hate this place. There aren’t many nice little retreats got coffee and cake in the Hollywood highland area. I usually go to coffee bean but it can be a little intense drinking with Spider-Man and Cat Woman. I was so happy when I found Kelly’s. But not for long. Muffins — stale, taste like they’ve been on the counter for a week.(I’ve had two and asked both times if they were fresh and told yes — NOOOO. not fresh at all). It’s not cheap either. This place has the potential to be a little goldmine for the owners but it is literally being mistreated. Staff are … far from friendly but I wouldn’t say rude. Such a shame.

I was not overly wowed nor disappointed in this place. I will be back to have a breakfast sandwich which will probably raise my review up. I was behind a family of people who couldn’t stop their kids from touching everything and didn’t decide what everybody wanted before they went to the register which made the rotation of the world feel like it was slowing down. But, other than the slow customers– my register person was friendly, my order was up in less than three minutes, and I enjoyed every bite of it as I went on with my day. As I sometimes say– Sometimes bad reviews are because people don’t know how to be good customers. But, I’ll be back for more.

After spending the morning walking down Hollywood Boulevard we needed a quick pick me up for the road so we decided to stop in at Kelly’s Coffee. This store had a great selection of coffee, fudge, and other chocolates. As we waited for our coffees we looked through the store which had some touristy goods and candy. We were surprised at how reasonable the prices were and we were also happy that they had a great selection of sugar free candy. In the end the coffee was great, the location was convenient, the staff was nice, and the atmosphere was laid back. We aren’t locals so this may be the only time we come here, but we could totally see ourselves spending a lot of time here if we had the chance.

Worst. Fudge. Ever! It was so hard that I had difficulty breaking it apart. And when I was able to break it, it was so dry it actually splintered. A waste of money!

My experience was so bad at Kelly’s that I’m writing the review with the food and drinks still in front of me. Let me start off by saying that my coworkers brought me a to go Kelly’s Cappuccino the other day, and it wasn’t bad, except that they messed up on my order. I thought this was a one time thing, so today I went back to get some coffee and they have THEWORST customer service. First of all, they don’t serve people in the order that they line up, hey serve people in the order that they make eye contact with. The employees barely understand English, which is fine, except that they don’t understand what drink I want. To top it off, they are RUDE. I spent $ 20 buying coffee and you want to be stingy with a carryout drink tray. I also ordered a tuna sandwich,(which, in retrospect, what was I thinking ordering a tuna sandwich at a coffee and fudge shop) and the tuna tasted OLD. Really old. I took one bite and threw it away. But back to the coffee, first they forgot one of my drinks, then they gave me the wrong drink. I ordered an iced vanilla dirty chai. They blended it and didn’t add the espresso shot. I told the employee and she just shrugged and said, «Oh, that’s what the receipt said,» and walked away. Are you serious?! What about offering to remake my drink? Refund please? Just save yourself the trouble and don’t go here.

On occasion, I stop at HWood and Highland to eat lunch at the French Crêpe Co, which I adore. This afternoon, I realized I forgot to get my parking ticket validated. I was also craving something sweet, so I stopped at this mess of a place. I fear this review won’t hold much clout, since it won’t stop dumb tourists from getting scammed. Did I just pay 7.58 for a dried out, mediocre piece of fudge the size of the palm of my hand?! Yep, it appears so. I could certainly justify that price if this were a gourmet shop or even just delicious fudge. But no, Kelly’s is a stale, nasty rip-off Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. To top it off, I don’t even think the cashier validated my ticket correctly. I had to pay for parking, even though I was there for less than an hour. Had a received a receipt, I would’ve gone right back in. Hell, I could’ve gotten a delicious dessert crêpe upstairs for less. What a scam.

My Chocolocini is perfect! Good bodied coffee. Not crowded either, for a Saturday evening. The deserts display contains a dizzying array of standard and unique delicacies. This place delivers.

The gellato was not bad but the person behind the counter needs a lesson in Friendly 101. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that’s not an excuse to take it out on your customers. He didn’t have a name tag but he is a Hispanic man in his 20’s. I was behind this lady and he was very rude to her and then when it came my turn, he was rude to me as well. After I told him to chill out on me and the lady in front of me, he mellowed out but by then there was already a bad taste in my mouth and I really didn’t feel like sitting down in front of him and eat my gellato. Sucks when you spend money to enjoy something only when the same person who serves you ruins it altogether. The person who owns this establishment should really train him or just get someone who can be friendly because he just doesn’t deserve a job when there are many other people who need one.

I wanted to grab a quick snack while at Hollywood and Highland. I was attracted into the store by their bagel and coffee special. Also, I was able to utilize my laptop while eating the bagel and having some morning coffee. I had to obtain the WiFi password from the lady at the register. WiFi was painfully slow. With the plain bagel, it came with butter but I had to pay an additional 60 cents for cream cheese. It may not be the most spectacular place to hangout, but it has enough seating inside. Unfortunately, I did not like the fact that there were many flies in the store. They must have been attracted to the sweets in the store. It is better to sit around the seats outside their store to avoid the flies.

Service was a bit slow for a coffee joint. I waited quite a while before I could order. However, as soon as another employee showed up, the speediness picked up. Went here to valodate our parking ticket and ended up chillin for a while. hubby got the criossant breakfast sandwich and coffee combo. For 5 bucks it’s an a-ok. I got the raspberry truffle. It was delicious! HAD to steal a couple bites of the sandwich and it was buttery and so, so good!

Decent treats and definitely a good option for getting parking validation while you are at Hollywood and Highland. It was surprisingly not crowded at all on a weekend afternoon so the wait to order was minimal. I got three treats: a chocolate-caramel brownie, a lemon bar and a strawberry crumble. The lemon bar was the best and I recommend it. The strawberry crumble was pretty good but a bit dry. The brownie was okay but I was expecting a more rich and robust taste than it offered. There was only one worker who was filling orders and cashiering and he was really hustling. Luckily, as I mentioned, it wasn’t busy but he would have been in trouble if there were any more customers!

SUCH a disappointment! This was one of those times where I didn’t check Unilocal before trying somewhere and my wallet and my tastebuds hate me for it. It was Sunday, and super early(pre-10am). I work at the mall, and I got there, had about ten minutes until I had to clock-in and I knew my stomach wouldn’t be able to make it to my first long enough break to get any food. I came here and got a cookie. It was white chocolate, and I think it had nuts(macadamia?) in it. It was so goddamn hard I couldn’t tell if they were nuts or just shitty parts of the cookie. Worse still this freaking thing cost me $ 3($ 2.75 plus .25 tip). I seriously had 2 mouthfuls of cookie before trying to pawn it off on some coworkers. When I was trying to snap the cookie(biting it might have broken my teeth.) it was grainy, hard, and it actually took a lot of pressure to get the damn thing to break. This place sucks more than you can ever imagine. I’m pretty sure it just prays on tourists because it’s been open for so goddamn long. It’s so bad I even feel bad for them, they shouldn’t have to waste their money on this shit. F you Kelly’s Coffee!
