Come here often because it close to my house. It’s great for quick and good sushi. Rather small in size but we always eat at the bar.

My husband and I were looking for a sushi restaurant that was close by and we wanted to walk to it! This place was absolutely AMAZING! My advice is sit at the bar and watch the sushi chef, the tricks they do are so fascinating!

Great sushi. Hidden away. Prices are moderate. Valet parking. Interesting menu choices.

Beware precut sushi. Even at happy hour prices this place is totally skip worthy. The fish is thing sliced, the rice was hard. It’s equivalent to the quality in a Gelson’s. At least it was a cheap misstep.

I gotta say, when my friends wanted to order delivery sushi the other night at 8pm… my first thought was«ugh…delivery sushi?» The worst. My friend suggested Kazoku and the five of us proceeded to order $ 160 worth of sushi through Unilocal’s online ordering option. There were two special requests I wrote in…1) a special alteration to a roll and 2) to please write the names of the rolls on each container. Risky game we were playing. 98% of me knew, from experience, that this place was either going to forget something, mess up the special roll or forget to name the containers. When the sushi arrived, on-time may I add, not only was everything there, but all the sushi was named on the containers in perfect handwriting and the special roll was made to perfection. At 9:30PM on a Friday. There was plenty of chopsticks, soy sauce and napkins for all five of us and we were SO impressed, we all snap chatted it. I can honestly say I was so impressed by this place and I apologize for not having faith in their ability to follow the directions I had given them. I will absolutely be ordering from them guys again and you should too because it was delicious.

UPDATE: Not sure if you’re able to see, but the owner responded to me and amended the previous $ 15 credit card rule. Went in again, and his word was true. Also, didn’t smell fishy this time. Thanks for listening! ORIGINALREVIEW(3-stars): A bit on the pricey side, but that firey roll is just so good! Several times I’ve gone in and it does smell fishy. For those who don’t know, sushi places should never smell like fish. That means some of the fish isn’t very fresh. Minus one star. As I was writing this, I found out that they don’t accept l credit card purchases under $ 15. Which is actually illegal. I’m actually docking from 4 stars to 3 because of this. Don’t believe me? Google«Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act». It basically states that all merchants are legally able to impose a minimum purchase, up to $ 10, for customers paying by credit card. My purchase was $ 10.95.

Very good service. The price is reasonable though. I like to sit at the bar and order freshly from the sushi chef. My special menu is spider roll. Here they customize my sushi rolls order. Also the server name Mindy is cute and she likes to make a «curious face» which is funny.

Ordered delivery from this place and while I thought overall my candy cane roll tasted good, I found a white string with little black fibers attached coming out of the center of my roll after I already ate 2⁄3 of it.(See picture) I called the manager to complain and she offered to refund the price of the roll only and not anything else(it was a large order of $ 60). Not good enough in my opinion for customer service. Won’t be ordering again

5s across the board on customer service and quality of food… I sat at the sushi bar. The sushi chef was inviting and friendly. I like that this restaurant is small and is like a hidden gem in Thai town. The spicy tuna biscuit was my favorite, great crispy texture! I also tried the teriyaki beef bowl. I recommend another entrée to try because I’m sure there are better items on the menu then this. I will be returning to find out :) Highlight of my night was the cute bunny shrimp and the plating was gorgeous!

I used to eat here religiously about 6 – 7 years ago when I was living walking distance. It was amazing, the service was fantastic(warm greeting when you enter, warm goodbye when you leave from ALL staff), the food was great, and it was never overly crowded. They played some really cringeworthy throwback music(think Disney classics, 90s Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.) but that could be ignored with good food and great conversation. Came back here last night for the first time in a long while and 1) warm greeting was still there, 2) music playlists had improved some but 3) the food wasn’t as tasty as I remember it. The fish was definitely fresh, but my favorite rolls were different and less flavorful and it was sadly disappointing to the memory of what it was. All in all– it’s still good, but I feel as though I was spoiled before :(

I used to love this place. I ordered from them on a regular basis for the total of about 3 years I’ve lived in their delivery radius. The problem is, they’re very weird now. I called to complain about my order that seemed kind of off, like it had been sitting out for too long. It smelled bad and tasted bad. Not only did they tell me that I was wrong and that everyone loves their sushi, I am currently waiting for the delivery guy to come back and take my food back, so they can inspect it before they give me a refund. Okay. It’s still an acceptable place to get cheap delivery sushi, but go through a service like GrubHub where they won’t side-eye you so hard in the case that you have a problem with your order. UPDATE: They called me back and informed me that my food passed its inspection and that they could now process my refund, how nice of them. I’m still wondering why they needed to inspect food that I said tasted old, that would only become even more old because they wanted to come back and get it. I also got a message on Unilocal from them regarding this review telling me exactly which pieces of sushi I ate(possibly sort of implying that I ate the bad ones and the rest were probably OK, but I didn’t know because I didn’t eat them) and defending the WEIRD decision to have the driver take my food back to the restaurant so they could look at it. I told you. WEIRD!

This place is Great! Great food, everyone is nice, and it’s an important part of the neighborhood. The happy hour is the bomb, one of the best. Just go there and go crazy on rolls one day at Happy hour, and then tell me it wasn’t a completely enjoyable experience. You deserve this! You earned it. You could enjoy a lot of good food for little money, or you could spend a a little more money on the pricier items like toro, monk fish liver, and uni. It’s up to you, but it’s always a great time. All the negative reviews are from people ordering delivery. Which I’ve NEVER had a problem with, IT“S ALWAYS been AWESOME! But if you’re ordering tempura, and you live miles away, maybe think about how that might not be the best scenario from any restaurant. This place is dope. I wouldn’t go to all this trouble writing If I didn’t truly believe so. Do not listen to these people, I guarantee they are insufferable human beings in real life. The type of people with which you would never want to hang out. People who leave One star reviews because they forgot your siracha, or maybe delivery wasn’t quite as god as when eating at the restaurant, should really take a moment to reflect on how worthless their lives are. Unilocal should not be a a place where you take out your own personal insecurities on a business providing a great service to a neighborhood/city.

Finally made it to the only sushi option tucked away in Thai town. I made it in time for happy hour and the prices are super cheap! 5pm –7pm Beers are like $ 2.50 Some apps are like $ 3.50 Basic rolls are $ 3.50– $ 4.50 Although I appreciate the half off prices, the happy hour menu was pretty limited. They don’t offer a discount on their special rolls and they don’t even offer happy hour on all their basic rolls. Just a few. Anyway, what I did order was tasty. Fried gyoza, house salad, and a shrimp tempura roll. Everything was good and for the price even better. They do require a minimum of $ 15 for debit/credit cards, so keep an eye out for that, especially if you are going to be splitting the check with two cards. Next time, I will try some of their special rolls and hit them up for delivery! It’s only a $ 1 delivery charge. You can still order delivery even if you live down the street right?!? HA.

I’ve never eaten at the restaurant… I always order delivery on Grub Hub or call in for pick-up. The food is always delicious and fish are fresh. Although I love sushi, I haven’t ordered any from here. I usually go for the rolls with fish and other Japanese/fusion menu items. Delivery has always been prompt. It is a great way to stay in on a rainy day in Los Angeles. Nearest Metro Station: Red Line at Hollywood/Western Station

Great sushi! Ordered for the first time and was super happy with the quality for the price. Also love that they deliver! Will definitely be ordering again. The Fiery roll comes with the best spicy sauce! The Shrimp tempura roll was also a fav!

It pains me to write this review, I’ve ordered from Kazuki on several occasions, all delivery, and I’ve gotten good service and pretty decent sushi. Today however the salmon sashimi got to my door, I always order on average $ 40 worth of food and I called to let the lady know that the salmon smelled very very fishy. I cannot eat it, although it looks very very pink but it smells super fishy. She said she was sorry about that, and that everyone else is eating it, and it was just cut today and delivered today and I was the first order, and it’s totally fresh and all she could offer was an apology. Not really sincere since she’s debating and telling me it’s fresh. I feel that my service is not appreciated as a reoccurring customer, so yours may not be either, so keep that in mind if you decide to eat there. Adiós Kabuki! We will not be doing business again. As Maya Angelou says, «when people show you who they are, believe them the first time.»

I’m not impressed nor am I unsatisfied. The sushi was not bad and I was glad that I came during happy hour because I’d definitely be upset about paying in full.

My go-to«I’m too lazy to get ready and eat at a sushi place, lets get delivery» sushi spot. THEAMBIANCE: I have actually only eaten at the venue once and it’s a typical sushi place with table and bar seating. THESUSHI: The sushi is not amazing but it’s good. The reason I dine with Kazoku is that they have free delivery(awesome)! On Sundays they open at 2:00 pm. How do I know? Because I was starving and had to wait until 2:00 pm yesterday to order. The rolls I always pick are(1) Crunch Dragon(Cali roll, spicy tuna, smelt egg, scallion, and tempura crunch flakes with eel sauce on top),(2) Eel Special(Eel, avocado, shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber, smelt egg, scallion, and tempura crunch flakes with eel sauce on top), and(3) Salmon avocado roll. The rest of the sushi rolls on the menu do not really interest me. I noticed this past time that they do not have any«Special Rolls» that have fresh salmon in them, apart from the Philadelphia Roll and Rainbow Roll(like two(2) slivers). Salmon is my favorite and a pretty popular fish overall so it’s surprising. THEDELIVERYSERVICE: This past time that I called for delivery they were not answering the phone at 2:00 pm when they are supposed to be open. It was 2:04 pm and the phone was still not being answered. I thought for a minute that they might be closed. I called back again and someone answered. My order was quoted at 40 minutes. I don’t know why it would take so long since I live about four(4) blocks away and they had just opened but so be it. An hour later I called to see if the food was on the way and the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing… No one answered in a span of about five(5) minutes. Kazoku needs to make sure their phones are being answered or it will lose customers. THETIPS: I recommend Kazoku for their free delivery and good sushi. Like mentioned, it’s not amazing but it gets the job done. If you want to skip the phone hassle, you can place your order through the Unilocal app :)
