So my hair had been bleached at this location before I felt safe coming here. I went back to get and ombré and the lady completely messed up my hair. As soon as she removed the aluminum foil I saw pieces of my hair fall off. I even grabbed a piece and it felt gummy. The product was washed off and she applied a treatment that I was not planning on getting but because my hair was so messed up I must have needed it (was charged extra)
They styled my hair and as she was blow drying it I could see the ends of my hair just flying off.
I was still charged a pretty penny and my hair looked like a hot mess.
If you’re going to bleach your hair please be sure you go to a person that knows what they’re doing. This use to be my go to place and I can safely say I am never going back.

First of all let me say this salon is a true diamond in the rough… located in what can be a skeevy part of mid city it’s kinda easy to pass right by and not notice it. You will, however be impressed with not only the ladies who work here (they do everything from haircuts, colors, treatments and makeup artistry) but the prices and ambiance as well! The owner Katy is amazing. Super sweet and friendly. She really takes pride and joy in her salon and her clients. Christy is another super woman. She does my red hair (I swear my hair is super long!) and takes her time to get the color just right. I can’t say enough about this salon, if your in the area and want to pamper yourself and look HOT come over!

I went in to this salon after browsing some other ones through Unilocal.Surprisingly it was very near my house and had good reviews so i tried it out. Christy cut my hair and i could not be happier with the results. She has great costumer service and i felt comfortable being there, which is a big thing to me. I tend to forget to go to salons and maintain my hair so when i do go i always feel not welcomed and a bit anti socially awkward to the past ones. I had no trouble being comfortable at this salon. Christy trimmed my hair and straightened it like i asked for, i left feeling pretty and with confidence which is exactly how it should feel going in a successful salon.

Words cannot express my gratitude to this business in regards to my hair. They use the best hair products on your hair. I challenge you to try them once and you will be hooked on their beautiful work. They truly have a gift for doing hair. I am a regular and travel from Baldwin Park, CA at least twice a week. Why? Because it’s worth my time and money. I highly encourage you to visit Katy Salon and I guarantee you will feel like a princess. I love you Katy Salon!!! You always make me feel like a million dollars :) They are professional and really care about the customer. I would never go somewhere else. i had a great experience, this pass saturday on 9÷13÷2014 as a new customer. i saw katys reviews here in Unilocal i went in early morning
i had for my hair blow dry straight and curls. the owner katy is a great lady i think it was a pricey $ 45 dollars but it was worth it i had a great experience for 1st visit im thinking of going back this coming saturday to have my hair blow dry again straight only no curls lets see how this second goes as well as my first one.

This place is really clean and inviting. The staff is very nice and accommodating. There’s free parking in the lot out front. I went to get my eyebrows done and my girl was really quick and made everything painless. This place is also probably one of the few non Korean salons in the area, and I felt comfortable there since there wasn’t any shit talking going on behind my back. Lol. I’ll definitely be back !
