Inexpensive Korean food court restaurant and there are reasons why. BBQ ribs were served luke warm, dumpling soup lacked flavor, and low quality food. There are better options nearby

Spicy cold noodle was delicious. Good. However, Just cold noodle«nang myun» is horrible. Don’t ever try that. You will ruin your day.

I ordered 2 bibim naengmyun and 1 mul naengmyun galbi combo. The portions were very small. The overall taste of the food was sweet. There were only three pieces of meat. This place used to be good smh.

Best nengmyun in LA(: They make their noodles with 2 different kind of bases: sweet potato flour & barley I gwent with my family and got several items barley cold noodle and beef short rib combo Regular cold noodle Mung bean Korean pancake Dumplings Sweet potato spicy cold noodle The barley noodles are softer, less chewy The sweet potato noodles are thin and more chewy Highly recommend the mung bean pancakes! Really enjoyed the food The boss or manager lady is very sweet and took time to answer my questions Will be coming back!!!

Great Naeng Myun… Best around L.A. Can’t believe it’s in a food court… I have been at expensive named places, but this place beats them all… Best with #10… Korean hamburger…

This review is for Monday, June 1, 2015: Today, I had a hangover and was craving Topokki. I wandered into the food court and narrowed it down to this establishment as I also wanted a beef dish. The friendly gentleman was kind to answer questions in good detail. I ordered the #5 Combo which includes bulgogi and bibim nangmyeun along with various banchan and soup. Additionally, I ordered mul mandu which comes with kimchi and dipping sauce. It was a lot of food but I managed to finish nearly all of it as everything was delicious. The beef was nicely-marinated and the spicy cold noodles were refreshing and tasty! The steamed dumplings were nicely-filled and well-enjoyed. This establishment offers coca-cola products for purchase. My delicious and savory meal came to ~$ 23.00 and is very reasonable for quality and value. I left very satisfied and happy! P. S. I went to Galleria Market and found instant Topokki in the ramen aisle for only $ 1.29! Aigoo…

Located in the 3rd foot galleria I ordered spicy cold noodle and my friend ordered cold noodle soup with galbi. First of all, the wait was longer than I expected. When I tried the food in the beginning, it was good. Perfect for the hot day! Portion was big too :3 But after a while the noodle started to stick together, and it wasn’t very good. Even the side dish was not on point(radish was a bit salty for me) The lady was nice and the service was good, but I still don’t think it was worth $ 9. The donkatsu and noodle plus I heard is better, so I’ll be trying them next time. Tips: careful with the vinegar and mustard sauce bottle because the sauce shoots out. Ask for soup if you want! Cut the noodle!

The bulgogi was tough, chewy and old tasting. Unbelievable. The dduk mandoo book was lukewarm, small, bland and the dduk was soggy.

I’m not Korean. Don’t hate. This cold noodle and metal bowls stuff were a little weird at first but dood… they’re pretty amazing. Especially on a hot day. I ate me some spicy cold noodles with spicy pork. No complaints. Just cold noodle goodness. Pork was tasty. Served on a bed of honions. Successfully killed my Korean cravings.

This review is actually 0 stars but I can’t do that so it will look like 1… I was really excited to eat naengmyun cause I heard so many great things about it but this place DIDNOT do it for me. First of all, this place is in a food court so that essentially means its fast food. BUTWHYYYYY did it take me close to an hour to get my order?! THATISTHESLOWESTFASTFOODEVER!!! like… slower than a restaurant! All the korean adults who ordered after me were so mad they got refunds. Honestly, if this was Hell’s Kitchen they would be TORNUP by Gordon Ramsey. Second, when I FINALLY got my food I was expecting greatness. I mean if you’re are gonna take an hour to cook than it better me a MASTERPIECE. HOWEVER, when I got my food it literally tasted exactly like how it looked. FLAVORLESS. I am sure I was just eating cold water broth with plain noodles and 1 piece of flavorless meat and ½ of a flavorless egg. I honestly don’t understand how it took them 1 hour to basically pour water into a bowl. Basically never eating this place ever again/will probz not eat naengmyun again.

The food is terrible. I ordered the Mandoo Guk and the Naeng Myun Galbi Combo. The food tastes too much of MSG and the quality is not good. The Mandoo Guk was salty and not flavorful. The Naeng Myun noodle was not traditional noodle. The Galbi meat was too chewy and bad quality beef. There are much better places to eat in that food court. I will not be eating here again. The food presentation is terrible too. They need to update their bowls… the silver bowls make the food less appetizing.

I’m not Korean so I can’t really judge if this was super good naengmyun or not… But I thought this was delicious! It was a bit difficult to order since I don’t speak Korean and the owner knew limited English… I originally asked him for hot noodles and he pointed at some korean romanization I didn’t recognize… And I wasn’t feeling too adventurous so I scanned the menu for ANY words I recognized and settled for: ++BIBIMNAENGMYUN! I recognized«bibim» from bibimbap lolol and I love that spicy gochujang so i settled for this one. The owner said it wouldn’t be too spicy but it was too spicy for my friend to enjoy. So i ate the whole thing myself and LOVED it! Perfect amount of toppings(eggs, pears, and other stuff) to balance the spiciness of the sAuce and it came with a satisfying hot cup of soup and pickled radishes. Noodles are a lot chewier than chinese noodles(or pasta or ramen, whatever) but I understand that’s how naengmyun is supposed to be! Tip! Come with someone who speaks Korean if you’re not Korean lol.

I have to admit, this restaurant sell really affordable beef bone soup! and they tasted delicious! you can get either spicy or non-spicy. The owner is really nice and sweet. I like the fact that parking is free. I want to come back to try his cold noodles.

Yummy neng-myun! I got the regular version and the bf got the bibim version with skate. We also got a side of the short ribs, which was super tasty. The noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy. The portions are large and service is fast. It’s in the food court after all. The prices are also reasonable and if you are craving this dish it really hits the spot.

Just to clarify, this spot is called«Seo Kang Myun Oak» And the other one is «Kang Seo Myun Oak» This place by far has the best neng-myun in town. I tried other places to compare but its just waste of time. Even though its a food court joint, they make their own noodles. Bibim neng-myun is my favorite. The sauce is amazing and despite how spicy is appears to be, it isn’t at all. It is full of flavor and the noodles are cooked to perfection.

Not a bad place to get a quick fix for your bibim naengmyun cravings. Nice and chewy and not overcooked. The hwae naengmyun comes with a small portion of crunchy skate.

Observant and likely hangul literate Unilocalers will notice that the Unilocal entry has the name of this food court restaurant slightly wrong. It’s actually Seo Kang Myun Oak which was probably why I had a hard time searching for it on Unilocal mobile despite standing right in front of the actual place. Located in the Koreatown Galleria mall food court, SKMO is the obligatory naeng myun(korean cold buckwheat noodles) stand. They serve all the usual suspects here, your mool(water/soup) naeng myun and bibim(soupless but with hot pepper paste) naeng myun varieties served a la carted or in combos with your typical korean BBQ meat selections(bulgogi, kalbi, pork). Aside from the cold noodles they do serve some hot items as well, which I suspect is for the winter months when no one is in the mood for cold noodles, like mandoo guk. Prices are food court typical, with a la carte noodle bowls ranging from $ 7 – 8, served with several banchan sides and combos with BBQ meats going up to $ 12 – 13 each. The nice thing about asian food court fare is that while expectations maybe low, the food usually never dissapoints and is often surprisingly satisfying. I think it’s overreaching to give this 4 stars but it’s definitely a solid 3 – 3.5. I like places that focus on one thing and one thing only, it usually means they’re focused at what they do.
