I went here for lunch with a co worker. I wasn’t expecting much more than a sandwich shop, but this place was delicious AND nutritious! My co worker got a freshly juiced drink of celery, carrots & beets. I had the tri tip wrap which comes with a salad For $ 9. Pretty inexpensive for the quality. Seems like most of downtown agrees that this places rocks, because soon after we ordered there was a long line.

This place has really good food. It has Argentinian influence with their steaks, empanadas and pastas. Their sandwiches are great, from vegetarian options to packed with meat they all come with a side of salad. Their empanadas are also delicious and come with chimichurri and salad. The small white cookies that they keep in the jar next to the register are my favorite :) Also, a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages. It’s very convenient for me and has good fast service. The prices are reasonable.

I work one block away and this place is very convenient. That specific location has been in and out of business for several years. I hope this place sticks around longer though. The menu is affordable and everything is very healthy for you. I ordered the turkey wrap and it was delicious! Can’t go wrong with anything that has guacamole inside! Food came out within 10 mins, so not bad on timing. Inside gets really packed during lunchtime because all us busy Downtown LA workers only get 1 hour of lunch, so we have to head back quicker. Other than it being really packed, it’s overall a great place for healthy eats!

This place has such great potential, but the execution of everything is just a little… off. The corner location on the edge of the 101 gives it an amazing view of the financial district. Problem is, there’s no parking in this neighborhood, and walking is dangerous – I’ve almost been run over twice by cars hiding behind huge trucks on Beaudry. The café itself is nice and small, so it feels cozy and«neighborhood-y,» but it’s so small that there’s no public bathroom. That’s not acceptable. I ordered a shot of espresso and the barista seemed a little confused. Do people not normally order espresso in LA? The coffee itself was fine, but not memorable. The food on the menu looked delicious, though, and I overheard other guests foodgasming and complimenting the chef.(I also overheard the chef telling a customer that he specializes in «vegan pastries» and«Japanese seafood.» Ha.) I don’t know what connection this place has to Argentina, but there was an «Argentinean» sandwich on the menu(that had nothing particularly Argentinean other than chimichurri) and tiny alfajores on the counter. I’m always on the lookout for Argentine food, so maybe next time I’ll go to the /other/Kachi Deli Café to try out the food. It appears that the other location is a lot bigger and seems to have restrooms! Score!

I love Brie. The cheese. To get to this Kachi from where I’m working this week I have to walk past the other one. Now, I was tricked by that one’s online menu and was super pumped that they had a Turkey & Brie sandwich with APPLES! And they also had other sandwiches with Brie. YUM. They didn’t. So we walked to this one after eating at the other yesterday and picked up the menu. The guy(chef?) was nice enough to inform us that they close early. During today’s lunch break, we decided to walk the extra 1.5 blocks and it was worth it. I ended up getting a prosciutto sandwich and they remembered to ask me which one just to make sure that they got my order right =] Coworker got the Turkey & Brie and a guava pastry. They do paninis differently. My sandwich had the light grill marks on the top and bottom but it wasn’t completely squished. Maybe that’s why the mozzarella in yesterday’s sandwich wasn’t melted and the brie was melted. Both sandwiches were simple and good. Guava pastry was flaky and just the right sweetness. One sad thing I learned from the very nice server is that they’ll be closing at the end of this month. And the menu may or may not be merged into the menu at Kachi down the street. I hope that they do put some of the popular items onto that menu! I’ll definitely try to come back again before they close to try out other items.

I went a good bit out of my way to stop by here on a Friday afternoon, having previously noted the good reviews. Got there right at 4PM(they’re supposed to be open until 5 according to Unilocal, and until 6 according to the restaurant’s own website.) Instead I found a sign on the door saying, «Sorry, Closed.» All the chairs were on the tables, etc. They had to have closed well before I got there. Two stars because the place looked clean and nice. Personal pet peeve: Businesses who post regular hours and don’t abide by them.

Ok the Bkfast is good i will give them that but I wonder if they pre make the meat for Argentenian sandwich.(it has not tasted fresh all the time) i have waited there a long time in the past to get my food. Generally its also overpriced. I guess its not bad there is not too many places around here but dont expect too much.

I’ve been twice in two weeks as our downtown office is located nearby. Ordered the Argentinian sandwich the 1st time, after reading the Unilocal reviews. Got it with fries. The fries were nothing great but I wasn’t sure if the salad would be iceberg or nicer. Sandwich was very good. Also had to order the smore’s brownie too. Sooooo good! The 2nd time I went, I got the tri tip wrap(yes, I’m obviously a carnivore) with the salad. Salad was the good greens and well proportioned. Wrap was also tasty. Again I had to have dessert and ordered a huge chocolate chip cookie which the guy who took my order proclaimed amazing. It was really good! The first tiime I went was a little after 1pm and yesterday was about 11:40am. It is busy but during those times I had no problem getting a table or having to wait to order. However I noticed around noon there was a line of about 8 people or so waiting to order. Cool, hipster-ish décor and vibe. Nice that it’s on the other side of the 110 too!

Great little lunch spot right just west of the 110 freeway. Reasonably priced with friendly service and great food. I’ve had the Argentinian chicken sandwich which was fantastic as well as the salami/mortadella sandwich which was great. Each sandwich comes with a small side, all of which have been quite good — the cous cous and potato salad were my favorites. Get here before the lunch rush starts at noon otherwise you may not get a seat since the café is small. It’s just great to be able to find a decent lunch spot for around $ 7-$ 8 in DTLA. Don’t let the freeway be the mental divide that keeps you from coming here.

I came here once to get lunch to-go, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Wrap. I expected it be dry and bland, like how delis usually are. I also thought the portions would be small because it seemed like a trendy healthy sort of restaurant. Instead, my wrap was packed with flavor and I was very full from it. It even came with a potato salad on the side. The prices are normal, but worth it for the quality of food. The restaurant itself is also very cute and comfortable. My favorite is this adorable sofa area where we sat while waiting for our takeout. I’ll definitely be coming back for lunch again!

There are actually 2 Kachi Deli’s in Downtown Los Angeles. They are located within one block of each other, but are only listed once on Unilocal.I’ve been to both locations and both are great! Clean establishment with quick service! This particular review is for the one located in the City of Hope Building. Lots of great selections at great prices! I’ve tried several things on the menu, but I think I’ve found my favorite thing… the Argentinean Steak Sandwhich with a side salad! Its to die for! The meat is a thick and juicy steak cooked medium rare(just how I like my steaks) in between a french roll. The only negative thing I can say is that it’s not too good for larger lunchtime groups. The max seating area at an actual table is about 4 people. Sooo… make arrangements accordingly!

So there are two Kachi’s that are a block from each other, but there’s only one listing on Unilocal.I’m not sure if this is the one I went to. The one I went to is right across the street from Starbucks. I feel that this place is confused about what it wants to be. It has tables and this lounge-y sitting area in one corner. It is a casual dining place in which you order and pay, and they bring you your food. But where you order up front, the display looks sparse and what is in there looks a bit un-fresh. There is no menu board or any to-go menus. When I asked for a menu, the guy had to search for a while to find one wrinkled to-go menu. The lounge-y sitting area is really odd. It has cushioned sitting along the wall. They put up a fake wall that divides the area from the table sitting area. The coffee tables provided are really low compared to the seats. The layout is also awkward if you want to carry on conversation with a few people. If you sit across from each other, the space between is really wide and you’ll either have to speak really loud or lean forward. Basically, you can’t sit comfortably to eat, read, gossip, etc. I ordered the ULTIMATEBLT. This was pretty good. The best part was the basil aioli they used! I had it on a ciabatta and they made it a panini. It was perfectly pressed where the cheese was a bit melty. It comes with a side of house salad, which has a balsamic vinegar dressing. Parking: Street metered parking. Its located in a medical office plaza, not sure if the place provides validation for the building parking though.

I’ve had a few sandwiches from here –all of which tasted fresh and healthy. What I really enjoyed was the cous cous that came with it! I believe it has pomegranate seeds in it! and/or dried cranberries?! DEELICIOUS! A nice touch, indeed. It’s a cute little café, and I work nearby. I plan on visiting more often.

I love this place! The sandwiches and salads are just great! All the ingredients are fresh and the flavor combinations will have your taste buds saying… AMEN!!! My favorites are: Salads Forrest Fresh Farm Albacore Tuna Salad Sandwiches The Spanish Turkey The Argentinean They also have fresh agave sweetened flavored lemonade and a great selection of bakery items and Ferrara specialty products. The coffee is also great! ‘Bitches Brew’ is my favorite and the iced coffee is also very enjoyable. The owner and his team are wonderful and extremely attentive. Kachi Deli Café does the body good!

While in downtown LA, I found my new favorite lunch spot. Kachi Deli Café is on Wilshire right off the 110 in an unassuming corner dwarfed by the luxury apartments and stores and salons that abound. Its only open on weekdays and during typical business hours so chances are you’ll be eating here during a lunch break with other business-type people. I was not working that day so I was in the minority. For the most part, everyone in the small café, employees and patrons are very friendly and cordial, which added to the welcoming vibe of the café. Its a restaurant in the same way Starbucks is a restaurant… they work with the space they have so its a little cramped but at the same time stylish. I think the dispay cases takes up a large portion of the room. Lots of fancy little sandwiches they got here. The words«panini»,“foccacia” and«aioli» are thrown around a lot but its not all hype. This isnt a run-of-the-mill submarine or two slices of white bread sandwich shop. They truly are gourmet and use fresh, delicious ingredients. I had an italian sandwich on very fresh ciabatta bread. My companion had a roast chicken/artichoke sandwich on focaccia. Both were served with fresh fruit on the side. That bread is ridiculously fresh. Its been a while since I had sandwich bread that delivered a delightfully satisfying crunch. A crunch so loud, chuck norris would shudder in its wake(ok, not that far) but still very good. I don’t know what type of mayo or aioli or sauce they used to lubricate the bread but it, too was amazing. I was lapping up every it of that flavorful, garlicky sauce. The cured italian meats in my sandwich were equally good. Just rich, fatty and well seasoned bites of salty, peppery thin slices of cured pork. Ok, so i dont remember what exact types of salumi were in the sandwich but everything together, the bread, the aioli and the meat came together and complimented each other so well. The foccacia was itself a wonder in the other sandwich. So many other focaccia sanwiches are either too crisp and crumbly or are undercooked and spongey. This foccacia was different. It was crisp on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside. They know bread here. To drink they have a plethora of coffee drinks but i opted for the lemonade sweetened with agave nectar. If you dont know what agave nectar is, it is the essential sweetener that gives margaritas their round sweetness. Its not as strong a flavor as honey so when used to sweeten lemonade it doesnt have that sickeningly sweet sugar bite or the strong taste of honey. Its a gentle, slightly syrupy sweetness that mellows out the sourness of the lemon juice and allows you to enjoy a sweet drink without the feeling of inching ever closer towards type-2 diabetes. I couldve just gone with, «i like their lemonade» but there’s a lot to be said about the thoughtfulness that goes into agave-sweetened lemonade. Someone with thought, care an knowledge of food put this, and everything on the menu, at Kachi together. They know what they’re doing and its simple and understated. Sure, they dont have the biggest, the meatiest or any sort of gimmick to run on but they dont need it. Kachi is makes a perfectly good sanwich with fresh, quality ingredients and a pleasant demeanor. They dont have 100 sandwiches here because they dont need it. Everything is well executed.

I’ve been here several times for lunch and all I can attest to is the Argentinian sandwich. It’s so delicious, I’ve never gotten anything else, but maybe one day I’ll try something new, but for now I’m hooked on that sandwich. The rotating side salads that come with the sandwiches are great too. And, the sweets are amazing as well — the cookies are so good! The place is a little small, so if you want to get a seat there, you need to get there right at noon for lunch, or else it’s take out. Definitely a great lunch place, especially for downtown.

Healthy, fresh fare in downtown LA is a dime a dozen. Make it affordable, more creative than your average deli menu, primarily local & organic and available to grab and go? We’re fans! I had a great caprese panini, with fantastically flavorful focaccia, crisp veggies, and smooth mozzarella. I also wanted an olive spread featured on another sandwich, and they’re more than happy to amend the menu to fit your tastes, a rare but valuable flexibility! I was also very impressed with their fresh squeezed juices – not only delicious blends, but at $ 4 a pop, that’s half of what you’d pay anywhere else in LA! With my scrumptious spread laid out and my laptop open, I spent my lunch hour in this cozy café working, thanks to their free wifi. Staff is happy to help, and I already spotted menu items that I want to try next time! They told me that ingredients are local when in season, and organic whenever possible, which is nearly always. And fresh Argentinean alfajores at the register? A perfect finale!

This place has me believing in sandwiches again! I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here: the Argentinian tri-tip(which, sadly, is no longer offered), the tuna, the black forest ham, the spanish turkey, the turkey and brie, and the Argentinian chicken. And this is coming from someone who is not a big fan of turkey! It’s hard to believe Kachi can make something as simple as a sandwich taste unbelievable, but they have! The bread is moist and the ingredients combined taste so delectable. And to top it off, no meal is complete without Mexican coke — the one in the glass bottle. Something about cane sugar instead of corn syrup just makes the meal even better. Prices are decent for a meal that can last for lunch and dinner. I’ve gotten full with just half a sandwich. You also get a mystery side. Mystery as in it varies each time you order. I’ve gotten fruit, egg salad, Greek salad, beets, and coleslaw for my sides. Phone in your order beforehand to avoid long lines.

I don’t think I’ve ever had anything gross here… it’s definitely good competition for Moxie. My only two peeves are the price point(it’s a tad high) and the size of the side… it comes in a tiny sauce container. Otherwise, the paninis are delicious, particularly the Mango Chicken(occasional) and the Argentinian

You know this place is pretty good. I went after walking to the bank one day. I wanted to step in and check it out. I’m glad I did. The menu is all organic and very scrumptious. The first time I went I ordered the Salad with Figs and Feta Cheese. WOW! The dressing was amazing. I think my coworkers thought I was crazy cause I just couldn’t stop talking about it. I also had a piece of broccoli quiche. Equally as tasty. They have those Limonata’s from Pelegrino’s I just love. All together I splurged and spent about $ 12. We also came here to grab some sandwiches on the way to a dodger game. Hands down the Turkey and Brie has to be one of my new favorites. It had apples in it too which gave the brie a nice balance. My husband had the black forest ham. I don’t recall him sharing much, but I did get a bite in before he wolfed it down.
