Nick really knows how to cut and layer Asian hair, works with his magical scissors and gets me out in 30 mins for a simple cut. FYI a woman’s haircut is $ 35, including a wash and blowdry. He will also curl your hair at the end of the cut. Let him know if you have a special occasion and he may make your hair all pretty!

Very skilled stylists. I like Cathy because she did my hair. My daughter had a male stylist and he was good as well. They have very good customer service and make people feel welcomed. We were desperate to find a place and we stumbled upon it. This place will be my only place to get my hair done.

Called in a day before for a haircut around Thanksgiving. They accommodated the time I wanted to come in and didn’t have me waiting one second. Shampooed my hair and gave me a greatly needed haircut. My hair was so damaged and Nick fixed it and now my hair is much healthier. $ 35 for haircut which isn’t as bad considering that this is Ktown and a haircut could have costed so much more. Would come here again!

I have been to this hair place twice! I was looking for a good salon to go to since I was new in Los Angeles. A friend recommended I go see Nick. He does such a great job and is really nice and quick. The prices are very reasonable here! I can’t wait to tell my friends about him and the salon. I give this place a huge thumbs up!

I came here on a weekend because my normal hair studio was closed. The service was fast, professional, and boy did my hair look good. They help you with a shampoo before and after to make sure you don’t have loose hair flying everywhere. Ask for Nick, he’s the best! –1 star for parking.

Came here for a trim. It was fine. Got the work done, got what I asked for. It’s not a fantastic trim, but it’s not terrible either. The people here are really nice! And for a trim it costed me $ 30.

I had long hair down to my waist and wanted a medium/long, A-line Bob, but needed someone who knew how to cut and layer Asain hair. In the past I asked for a trim at a salon I always go to(they do good highlights) and paid $ 85 for an ugly blunt cuts and layer and left extremely dissatisfied. Based on the reviews, I took a chance and came here… and I am so glad I found Cathy. Not only she gave me an awesome hair cut, she knew how to layer correctly and gave me an advice on what would look better for my face. and she was right. She gave me a haircut that is better than what I expected… and wanted. And they charged me $ 35. The staff was also very friendly and they made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

This is by far the best Hair Salon place in LA. Nick does a great job cutting your hair and he knows so much! So happy I decided to check this place out. Two thumbs up! I’ll make sure to only cut my hair from here on out :)

I love how Nick cut and style my hair. I had so many compliments for it. One thing i really like was he didn’t use any razor to make layers. I hate that. It’s been ruining my hairs in the past. So thank you Nick. I will come back again for sure Kamsahamnida

Not the best English, but are more than willing to accommodate you. I(nervously) decided to go full platinum blond, which is no easy task when you’re Asian due to the thickness/color of our hair, but everything went off without a hitch. The owner(I assume) was patient, very sweet and highly professional, all the ladies were super nice as well. I was consulted from every angle, how far I wanted to go, shades, hues, how to care for my hair after I left and possibly a return visit. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED.

REALLY happy with my experience here. I usually go to Hair Day, but I didn’t want to spend that much money on a hair cut so I decided to try K&C since their hair cuts are only $ 35. I definitely do not regret my decision. I was wanting an entirely new style and chopped off my hair that was mid-low back long to chin-level. Cathy gave me some advice on what what look good with my face shape and calmed me down about doing something so drastic. Loved the service and love my new do! Will definitely me going back.

I’m a pretty average korean dude, but sadly have some complicated hair anatomy. I have multiple cowlicks so my hair changes direction at different points on my scalp and half of my hair is curly and the other is not. Yea, it sucks, and it confuses hairstylists. But Nick is the best. He is very good at what he does and is really competent. Great experience. I was charged $ 25(before tip). It may help to speak Korean here, but non-koreans seem to get the same treatment. Not sure what some other reviewers are saying. Oh yeah, parking can sometimes be a little tough, but there is street parking that is easily accessible. Bring some quarters just in case.

I am very picky about haircuts but I thought that Nick did an amazing job! He listened to what I said and he always checked to see if I was okay with what he was about to do with my hair. The haircut did not take as long as I thought it would for the amount of hair I had and it was affordable($ 35 without tip). Overall I was very satisfied with my haircut and I’m glad that I found K & C :). Btw, Nick has awesome hair himself so you know that you are in good hands when he is going to cut your hair.

Amazing haircuts for such a great price. I have really thick, wavy, long, color-damaged hair and it has been such a struggle finding a hairstylist in LA who can thin out a huge chunk of my hair while keeping the length. I’m so happy to have found this place and will come back for sure! My hair’s now much quicker to blow-dry and super easy to style. Thanks Cathy! :)

When it comes to getting haircuts, I only trim these locks twice a year(give or take) and only allow a few select to tame this lion’s mane. Nick is one of them(I mean c’mon– the man’s got an amazing signature ‘do going for himself. How can you not trust him?!) Cutting to the chase(har har), this man will trim your hair if you ask for a trim. I repeat, he will give you the trim you came to the salon for. He will NOT cut 5 inches off your hair after you have clearly asked for only an inch off your regular hairstyle, which I feel, is a rarity. I also find comfort in getting my hair done by a stylist who talks to me throughout the process, even if its as simple as the most subtle haircut. Its reassuring to have someone walk you through what he plans to do and asks for your approval every step of the way to make sure you know what’s going on. I’m no Vidal Sassoon graduate so I’m going to be completely oblivious to why you’re going about a certain technique, so when Nick lets me know he’s going about it a certain way to give me the volume I want, its nice to know he knows what hes doing and is taking the right steps to give me the look I want based on MY specific hair texture, etc. Nick is a funny guy too. He’ll put extra TLC into my hair if he knows I have a date right after the appointment and will talk all day about the latest sports with me(it’s basketball season now and he’s a huge Lakers/Kobe fan– HUGEBONUS! Before this visit, it was the World Cup season and the man was shamelessly hooting with the games on live in the salon LOL) PARKING: It’s a tiny lot but its in a residential area so if you don’t mind the walk, you can easily find street parking nearby. SALON: Clean and cozy! Affordable haircut which includes the relaxing hair wash and styling at the end(I’ve got pretty long hair and I pay $ 35 for a trim minus the tip) Make sure you call ahead for an appointment, especially with Nick because the man is BUSY!

Fast. Clean. Affordable :) I had such a fantastic experience with Cathy I’m determined to only come here for haircuts from now on. I live on the westside and always went to Beverly Hills’ salons for haircuts. Been there done that. I’ve made so many horrible decisions by going with non-Asian salons I won’t be making that mistake again! My hair is very difficult to deal with but Cathy trimmed it just right in a matter of minutes. My hair is also extremely thick, but she thinned it out just right– and that’s something non-Asian stylists have trouble grasping. For only $ 35, you get a wash, cut and style. Please and thank you!

Came in with a botched hair cut done by another place and they were able to fix it without taking off too much length. I came in on a Sunday making an appointment 30 minutes prior. Nick cut my hair and I had shown him a picture and he cut my hair exactly how I wanted it to be. 35 dollars and 5 dollar tip was a little more than I had expected but I’m not complaining !

Went here to fix a bad haircut. Life lesson: go to an Asian hair salon to cut Asian hair. — $ 35 for a wash, cut, and style for women. — Cathy was professional, not overly chatty which I appreciated. — Clean facilities — There’s a parking lot(kinda scary fyi) — I’m Korean, but I used English and they were fine with that
