Sorry to hear your place closed down. :(From what I heard, there was some disagreement between the 3 owners from the 3 locations so the main owner decided to shut down the business. If one of the owners decided to bring it back, please let us know. I’m sure you probably have to use a different name though. Thanks for all your good burgers! :)

Although This Specific Location Is Closed; Let Me Regale You With Tales Of It’s Deliciousness. I came to this city three years ago. Searching. For what seemed like months for a good Burger Joint. I tried Umami and was disappointed :( In And Out tastes generic :( Rick’s Diner is too greasy. 25 Degrees sent me to the toilet. But then, I was coming back from a film set at Bronson Caves and was stricken by Hunger. STRICKENBYHUNGER! I drove past Fred 62 and the Gyro joint to find a very unassuming Burger joint with a college kid behind the counter. Okay. They had a «custom menu» I’m from the Midwest so I added Bacon and Ranch Dressing. My burger came out Dripping… I took a bite. In every major religion there is a term for the food of the Gods. Ambrosia This was Meat Bun Ambrosia. My taste buds all yelled«fuck yeah» I’ve returned 1time a month since then. Now that the location is closed I’m despondent. I fear no Burger in LA can compare. And I eventually plan to try the location in Hollywood. But until then, farewell Juicy Burger in Los Feliz. I loved you.

* Food * Price * Location I live in Los Feliz, so it’s nice having a burger joint close to me. I go here for the veggie burgers, but unfortunately they don’t always have them. It’s… like 50⁄50. At least it means they make them fresh? I hope? It’s a small counter with a grill behind it. I get the veggie burger western style(yes this adds bacon, yes I know it sounds weird to order bacon on a veggie burger but hey it’s delicious!) with a side of fries. Fries are very salty. This isn’t a bad thing– just a heads up! They have delicious sauces too– I like the chipotle ketchup for the fries. I get the bbq on the western style burger. It’s a solid combo for ~$ 8 – 9 Friendly cashiers, If your credit card has a weird future expiration date(Google wallet currently expires 2020) their machine won’t be able to read it. Keep making those veggie burgers Juicy Burger!!!

The burgers are amazing! So good. The location is amazing. I wish they could get it together to actually keep regular hours. They are never open. 7pm on a random Wednesday? Closed. 2pm on a Saturday«our cook is on break. Come back in 30 minutes.» 3pm on a Thursday«our cook just left and the next one isn’t here for another hour. Can you come back?» The scheduling or management or whatever has a lot of work to do. I’d eat here much more often if they were actually open.

Id like to review it since we’ve walked by it on occasion. So we went tonight after checking posted hours on Unilocal.11am to 11pm. Cool. Problem was after we got there, we found it closed with no hours posted. Fail. One star because you have to post at least one but really its a zero

This used to be the best burger place on the east side, and now it’s a poorly run dump. We were told that the cook went on break and wouldn’t be back for 30 min, so we came back and the cashier couldn’t be more disinterested in customers. We’re out of… onion rings, fries, the soda machine is broken, and they were out of just about everything under the sun. We left, so confused, it was like an episode straight out of Seinfeld. And sure enough, on the walk back to the car, Juicy Burger had closed 2 hours prior to closing time. If the goal is to kill business, these girls know what they’re doing.

Definitely a management problem here. As expressed in many of the other recent bad reviews, this location used to be great but has seen an amazing decline. I’ve experienced them being closed when they shouldn’t be, inattentive staff taking breaks or sitting outside, lack of caring or interest in customer service and being out of items on their menu. On today’s visit i was really looking forward to their chicken tenders., The coating with the spices and rosemary and the chipotle mayo dipping sauce is really out of this world. But alas, they were out and this location lost my business yet again. I guess its time to stop trying… at least until i see an «under new management» sign in the window.

Everything recently said by other negative reviews is sadly true– this used to be the best burger place in town. Great service, and fantastic food. But it’s become a sad shell of it’s former self. The last few times I went here were deal breaking experiences. They do indeed close whenever the eff they want. The service is terrible, and the food not as good as it used to be. I’m giving it an extra star for the glory that it once was, but pretty much a 1 star experience these days. I’ll have to go out of my way to one of the other locations in the future.

Because of all this hype, making burgers at different burger joins it may suddenly feel overwhelming. I want to make clear one point: Burgers are, and should remain, a simple food. fun and enjoyable. If you want a great down home burger you have to try Juicy Burger. One of the best burger you’ve ever tasted, right in California. So take a deep breath, and let’s get started. Sometimes you eat hamburgers because your hungry. Well I had to eat here 3 times and every time it has gotten better. Yes it not the most spotless place, Yes it is very small, and yes parking is not the best. Yet let put this a side. If you want a GOODOLDDOWNHOMEHAMBURGERANDANAMAZINGBUN. WELLDAMMITGIVETHISBURGER A TRY. The burger is JUICY and the bun is a little sweet. YUMYUM The number one most important rule to better burgers is this: BUYGOODMEAT and their meat OMG wonderful. Being a native of CA I have eaten my share of burgers. My collective love of the hamburger has manifested itself in an onslaught of fancified, outrageously expensive hamburgers made with swanky custom blends and piled high with showy toppings. Yet we have got away from the simple pleasure of a good old fashion burger. Once a simple, fast, and inexpensive food, hamburgers are now priced around $ 15 on average in restaurant, with some reaching as high as $ 120 or more. I LOVETHELOCATION. Why??? This whole block has a retro feel to it, hippy like. If you love people watching this is the hot spot. I love the french fries double fried, if you as for well done fries you can get them. This is an Old Fashion style burger place and I loved it! YOUHAVETOTRYIT. THEBESTBURGERINTOWN.

I agree with a previous review that this place used to be great, but now it’s just a sad sack. I used to love-Love-LOVE their delicious burgers, but I’ve had a zillion terrible experiences and they have run out second chances. Of the things I’ve encountered on numerous occasions… * I went there once and was told they were out of fries. WTF!!! HOWDOES A BURGERPLACENOTHAVEENOUGHFRIES? * Another time I went and, while the cook was standing behind the counter, the clerk told me they weren’t taking orders because the cook was going on lunch? Really??? You couldn’t at least take my order and tell me it’s going to be 15 – 30 minutes? I was turned away! How does that make business sense? * Despite the Unilocal and Google pages and their SIGNONTHEWINDOW showing they close at 11PM, they usually leave before 9:30? * On multiple occasions, I’ve witnessed the clerk take out trash, not wash his/her hands, and then box up my food with their potentially Hepatitis-contaminated hands. * On multiple occasions, the cook has placed the thermal paper receipt DIRECTLYONTOP of my burger, contaminating the bun with not only the clerk’s trash germs, but also the carcinogenic chemical contained in thermal paper. Thanks for the cancer! Wow, recounting these experiences, I actually realize I look like a total moron for having come here enough to experience/witness all of these things. Yeah, this place is NOT what it used to be: clean, professional, and good. Was going to give them two stars, but while writing the review, I’ve become so pissed off that I’m giving it one star.

Negative 17 stars, really. Preface: As someone who has worked in the industry for 6 years, and loathed bad Unilocal reviews, this isn’t easy for me to write. I’ve driven out here before with a friend who loves burgers but as a vegetarian was looking forward to the veggie burger. Of course, with my luck, they said they were sold out. I get it. There are a lot of damn vegetarians these days, especially in Los Feliz/Silverlake, so it happens. Before driving across town this time, I called to make sure they had the veggie burger and they said yes. Of course, when we get there they said they are all out. When I mentioned that I had called 40 minutes ago to make sure they were well stocked, they said they must have JUST sold the last one. It was 5:30 and no one in sight. Incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate. I wouldn’t even make my worst enemy drive in LA traffic for nothing. I’m all about small businesses and trying to be understanding but this was just ridiculous and makes me not want to support them. GETITTOGETHER. Be considerate. Be a respectful business establishment. It’s not that hard.

Two words: «down…hill.» There was a time when this place kept me alive. The location is ideal(it’s within walking distance so I never competed for parking) and the burgers were consistently delicious. The staff was young and, presumably, inexperienced but as long as they were competent and friendly there were no issues. Within the last year JB has fallen apart. It’s almost a spoof of what a burger joint should be. They rarely answer their phone anymore… when I call ahead it either goes to voicemail or I“m treated to a busy signal. On at least two occasions I’ve been put on hold and forgotten while forced to listen to the cashier take other customer’s orders or simply mingle with his co-workers. Once I actually showed up at the restaurant while on «hold» for 15 minutes(not exaggerating) and the dude working the register was completely oblivious that I was still on the line. When I confronted him about it his response, verbatim, was«My bad.» And don’t bother showing up after 8PM, that’s usually when they run out of meat. Or their«system» is down. Or they’re closing early. Or the cook is on a smoke break. Or, occasionally, the food is just bad. I’m more bummed out than angry. JB used to be a Los Feliz staple. There would be nights when I didn’t want to put any thought into what I was eating and JB was always a reliable option. These days I would recommend McDonald’s before suggesting this place.

I was expecting a lot more from Juicy burger. The only veggie item on the entire menu, the veggie burger, they were out of. Not one salad, sandwich, no option for someone who does not enjoy meat. There is also not really any seating any the storefront is super tiny, squeezed right next to the entrance of the movie theatre. Pretty filthy inside, also super hot. Service was lackluster and did not offer to make me anything else or give any suggestions. So I left, hungry and ate something I am sure much better somewhere else.

They randomly turn away customers so they can have cigarette breaks. If the manager new if this I’m sure they would be fired. I was told«sorry we’re on our smoke break, we’re not serving people for the next 30 minutes»

Post a mediocre show at the Clubhouse Theater my compatriots and I embarked on a search for an establishment to imbibe copious amounts of alcohol which would hopefully lead to wild unprotected sex with multiple strangers. Chris, my Disney executive friend who commands a 6′ 4″ stature turned to me and exclaimed«Have you tried Juicy Burger? it’s the best burger in LA» I’m born and raised in Los Angeles and an avid burger fan. I couldn’t help but be skeptical. I remembered having been to Juicy burger long ago in Hollywood. Was it the same place? part of the same chain? Was I losing my mind? I mean what about the Apple Pan? What about Fathers Office? If so… do I need to re-think my friendships? Sean, is the craziest mother fucker I know. He commands a 6’9″ height and is decked from head to toe with prison tattoos. He used to slang meth, but got caught and swiftly went to quentin for 2 years. Now he’s out. Sean who also was born and raised in LA and was along for the drinking and quickly agreed with Chris. I fell into a deeper existential spiral. «you mean the chain that’s in Hollywood?» I remarked They were unsure. The following day I went. I got the Western burger, fries, and a coke. And it fucking sucked. I cant tell anyone this though, because my methed out newly released prison friend has a thin line to others disagreeing with him. God. I hope he never sees this.

I used to love this place, but haven’t been in at least a couple years. I went there to try a turkey burger, which was topped with onion strings and jack cheese. It was by far one of the saltiest burgers I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t even get through a quarter of it and had to throw the rest out. I felt terrible wasting so much food, but it was basically inedible. Also, I ordered the food to eat there and the music was really loud. Trust me, I am not one to complain about the volume of music, unless it is absolutely ridiculous. My sister called me while I was eating and could barely hear me. By the time I left, I was still hungry and had a pounding headache. The only thing that was still decent were the fries. I’m so sad that the quality has declined in the past few years.

Stopped by here for a late lunch. Small little burger joint in the same vicinity as House of Pies. There’s space inside for around 10 or so people(booth and high chair style) and a few tables outside. Got the classic Juicy Burger combo with cheddar cheese. Friend got the Monterey Mushroom Burger combo. pretty good for the price, the meat is nice and juicy(you don’t say…) but the bun does a good job in soaking it up and making a sloppy mess like many other burgers. Would definitely come back if im in the area. No trouble finding parking in the residential areas.

Q man and I went in after the diner we were going to was cash only. Ordered 2 cali burgers(regular with cheddar, avocado, and bacon) one protein style. Split an order of fries with garlic mayo. My burger had SOMUCHTHOUSANDISLAND and SOMUCHAVOCADOPUREE it fell off into a puddle equaling ¼ of a cup, while there was so much left over that my hands, face, and 5 napkins were also covered in it! WAYYYY too much sauce! Delicious though. Bacon was crispy and the patty had great flavor. Won’t get avocado purée next time. Q man’s bun was big fluffy and a little sweet. Not bummed I skipped it. 1 order of fries is totally enough for 2 people and that garlic mayo is SOGOOD!!! The fries were great– thicker cut and not processed. YUM!

According to their website & Unilocal, business closing hour is listed as 12:30AM. Not the case. Their door has a mini little sign stating they close at 11PM, but if you try to walk in around 10PM they will discourage you from dining in. Stools have already been placed up on tables, the employees pretty much want to take off right around then. So why not then CLOSE the business at 10PM and do all your cleaning/wrapping up for the next hour instead of rushing us, threatening to kick us out in the middle of our meals, and turning additional customers away? Not sure the owner knows or cares how their employees are handling the business. The food though is good, simple, fries are the fatter crispier version of what you’d find at In n’ Out. Liked the 1000 Island mayo-ish sauce that came in the burger, just don’t arrive past 10PM and expect to chill and eat in peace cause they’ll pretty much ask you to grab your food to go or push you away. We kinda made it clear we were gonna be sitting outside whether they liked it or not. Finished eating at 10:40pm, tried to go inside to throw our trash but they had literally locked their doors discouraging business from entering all while witnessing an employee just chillin leaning on the front counter, not even looking to see what was going on at the door. Insane. Very — Honey Badger Don’t Care — kinda attitude.( )
