Service was great. Love the ambience. Ordered the cheeseburger, lettuce wrapped. It was cooked to a perfect medium. Normally I like burgers medium rare, but with no bun to absorb any juice, I’m so glad I asked for it «medium». It was so juicy and very tasty. For those watching their sodium, I would consider this burger on the salty side. Their hibachi grilled wings were also super tasty and on the salty side. I didn’t mind, but it did catch me a bit off guard at the first bite. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and our food.

WATCHYOURCREDITCARD!!! This is one of those restaurants where you can barely figure out whom your server is, as multiple people seem to ask you questions, take your order and serve you. The food was pricey but good. Service was ok, with some waits for drink refills. It would have been better if our waiter was 100% concerned with waiting on a given set of tables, without additional duties at the bar and other places. But MAJOR pet peeve… the person who took my credit card(not our original server) took it to the terminal, but also was typing something on and handling her phone while handling my card. Then a second server blocked my view, but there still seemed to be a little too much handling of my card and possibly a photo taken of it or a secondary swipe. I can’t provide it yet, but while I was staring, there were now THREE employees were blocking my view, then they all suddenly turned around and looked at me as if they were being caught. GIven how many servers in high end restaurants are compromised by organized crime into stealing card numbers through hidden swipes, I’m very weary of anyone who handles my card and then does something hidden that looks suspicious. It should be the restaurant’s policy for employees to NOT handle their phones when serving customers and swiping credit cards. I will be monitoring my card closely, and I do hope nothing shows up on it. But JOEY Management? You need to school your employees on this, Wait staff professionals should NOT be handling their phones during transactions.

Went there last night with friends and sat on the patio which was great. Beautiful night-setting was great-plenty of room. Had a couple of drinks which was enjoyed and had a very nice attentive server. Now to the food-I had the Butcher sandwich which was nicely presented and tasted ok. The fries were good but could of been hotter. My wife had the BBQCHICKENSANDWICH which she found soggy and way over sauced and ate only half of it. Would not order again. They over did this item. We finished the evening with hot apple pie and ice cream which was very good. We would go back again for ambience and another selection of food item. The valley needed a space like this and it was fun. Irwin Z

I was excited when I saw that they were building this place. It looks awesome when you’re driving up from victory. I couldn’t wait to try Joey’s out. First impression is this place is huge! Almost like the restaurant version of a Costco. It’s very dark and crowded. I came here with my mom around 7pm on a Sunday. It was around sunset time and sun was very bright and kept getting in her eyes from the booth we were sitting in. Their shades didn’t do a very good job at keeping the sun out. On to the food. We weren’t that hungry so we started off with a small appetizer of fried cauliflower. It was pretty good probably the best part of the meal. Unfortunately it was the only good part of the meal. As for the entrees I ordered the paella and my mom got some sort of seafood ravioli. My good was just ok it was pretty salty. My moms pasta was undercooked. The pasta was pretty hard and she didn’t like it at all. For the price you’d think they could do better. Joeys we gave you a try but I think we’ll have to skip this place next time sorry.

I came here tonight for the firs time with a few friends. The waitress was helpful with the menu questions we had, but man, I felt like we were rushed the entire time. Our appetizers came, 10 minutes later and we were barely halfway done, she comes by to being utensils for our meals that are about to come and she’s getting ready to grab the appetizer plates to take back. I had to tell her we were still working on it. Meanwhile my iced tea took a while to refill. I had to ask for napkins when we all got meals that had a lot of sauce. Then she comes back and asks if she can the food away when I wasn’t even halfway done with my food, I said no. Comes back AGAIN as I’m eating my fries and I said you know what, take it. I’m done. Extremely frustrating and annoying. Just leave the table alone. Ask if they need anything instead of hovering over the table ready to grab plates that don’t need to be touched yet. How about working on the refills and napkins first. Updated review: I was contacted by management because they were curious to find out further details regarding my unhappy experience. They were very consistent with following up with me when I was too busy to respond. They scheduled a time for me to go back to have a better experience. I arrived on a Saturday night and got seated right away in a nice booth. We had the korean cauliflower, salmon and burger. The food was fantastic and our server was great. Oh and not to mention their apple pie dessert was to DIEFOR. I didn’t want it to end. We were not rushed at all and it was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had by far. I’m not sure if the team was spoken to after my first review, but we were extremely happy the second time around. The food here is so delicious as well. Thank you so much!

I don’t even know where to start — we had a good time and good food from the beginning to the end. The meal was both tasty and well-timed. Service was very good. Portions good sized and prices quite reasonable. Favorites include the octopus appetizer and the paella. Tataki steak and rainbow roll was very good too. The steak frites, salmon, and shrimp/lobster ravioli were classic and very much enjoyed. What will inspire me to return, though, is the apple pie with maple ice cream. Very well executed and yummy!

I discovered JOEY when I took my partner to dinner at Flemmings, which is across from JOEY. Soon after, I looked it up on Unilocal & read great things. Two weeks before my birthday celebration, I called JOEY Woodland Hills & reserved a table for 12. I received a call confirming my reservation a few hours before the event. There is valet parking so for anyone that didn’t want to circle the parking lot or go into the massive parking structure. Valet is right in front of JOEY’s. My partner & I decided to valet for convenience. As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted by 2 hostesses & friends who arrived early. One quickly escorted my partner & I to our table & then shortly after our waiter introduced himself & took our drink orders. Water for four of us, Summer Sangria & a slushie orange & red drink for my GF. Slowly, friends trickled in & we decided to put in our appetizer order. I had the duck Poutine & my partner had the wings. The wings were prepared well, and had a kick. The duck Poutine could have been better. 2 out of 5 stars & here is why… they used steak fries, it would have been better if they used the crispy shoestring fries(which they serve as a side), they drowned my Poutine in a VERY salty & thick gravy that over powered the flavor of these cheese & the duck. The duck itself was good. It is so unfortunate that the flavor of the duck was lost in this gravy. Whomever seasoned that gravy has to be a smoker who has deadened their tastebuds. How could someone make that big of a mistake??? I couldn’t take it, I had the 2nd waitress take it back & get it re-made. I told her to have them put very little gravy. The second time around, it was better, but still salty. They obviously had to use the same gravy. And I still couldn’t eat the whole dish. I had to drink extra glasses of water just to cleanse my palette. Our entrees were the Rotisserie Chicken & Veggies for him & the Steak & Sushi for me. The sushi was delicious & clean tasting. The steak was cut & sitting in a ponzu sauce… that too was salty, but not nearly as bad as the duck Poutine. The steak was tender enough & I ate most of it, but I had to take the pieces out of the bowl & tap the extra sauce off. I would order the sushi again, but not the steak, unless I could eat it with white jasmine rice. The service was interesting. The first waiter/server was very attentive & complimentary. The 2nd, which was a waitress seemed nice enough but was slow & seemed overwhelmed. She eventually gave her table to another waitress. She was good at first, but again, may have been overwhelmed by the size of our party(13 people). The location is beautiful, clean & modern. There is a bar inside, a patio type area & there too was a smaller bar. There are good sized tables & comfortable seating. Heaters were up above in the patio area so if it got chilly, it would remedy that. Although, the food wasn’t as good & I was kind of disappointed, I would come here. I’m sure that my dining experience would be different if it were just my partner and I. I can’t quite give a 4 star rating, but I feel it was better than 3 stars, if I could give it a 3 ½ stars I would. The ½ star reduction is the overly salty food & the 1 star reduction for the spotty & inconsistent service during the evening. Regardless, we still tipped 20%. I would recommend this restaurant because of the beautiful design & choice between indoor & outdoor seating. There is a great selection of food & drinks. There is literally something for everyone.

Whats the joke? That Canadians can’t do anything right? WELL, let me tell you Joey will change those pretentious thoughts and the Canadian influence is felt in what comes to be a delicious crossroads of dining. We begun with something quintessentially Canadian… Poutine… That’s right… Gosh darn POUTINE. And it was Duck Poutine to start. The fries were steak cut and seasoned. Topped with a gravy that tasted like something that came from a packet *Just add water* came to thought. Then of course the duck which was crispy and of course the cheese curds. I LOVEDIT. I can’t say I’m a poutine expert, but if this was any indication of how poutine is, then consider me Canadian because it was delicious. We then ordered the Lobster and Prawn Ravioli which despite several reviews saying theirs were coming out salty, we found ours to be perfectly seasoned and equally delicious. I was splitting it with two other friends and this was the first dish gobbled up ahead of the others. Their chefs could just potentially have found their groove and thus it was seasoned correctly, but I would for sure come back for this. We also ordered the«Surf and Turf» with steak and sushi were on the same plate. A surprise was to find the steak in a broth of what seemed like Soy Sauce and grated ginger and radish. The steak was a bit underwhelming and the sushi was alright. Nothing I would call home. Maybe this last dish was a mistake. I blame my friend Karen for this, she suggested it. Let’s not even begin on dessert, because we usually don’t. But we were already dressed up in fancy clothes and had ordered fancy cocktails, so we figured we had to GOALLTHEDAMWAY. So we got fancy and ordered 2– Apple pie with ice cream and the molten chocolate cake with ice cream. Do your self a favor and order these. Even if you feel like you’re not a dessert person, still order it. You can thank me later. *ends in cliché*

This place is my new preferred restaurant. The staff is super friendly. The hostess greeted us with a complementary glass of champagne and the waitress took care of us almost immediately. The menu is not too complicated and you can find a lot of good dishes. I picked the top sirloin steak with grilled vegetables and it was done to perfection Thanks everybody at Joey’s. See you soon again

I don’t know if I will come back again because of our dinner bill, my husband and I definitely need to make more money. Plus, I got a tour of the kitchen it kind of did it for me. My family and I came here on a Tuesday at 5pm. We got seated right away so it was really nice since my kids were hungry. The waiter and managers were very attentive and accommodating, there were more managers than waiters where I’ve never seen a restaurant that was so top heavy but I guess Joey knows the importance of customer service. We ordered the following: Grilled Octopus($ 14): it was really good but on the small size, the tender octopus was served with lettuce, sliced oranges with a light sour dressing. I would definitely recommend this dish. Miso Ramen with chicken($ 17): Overpriced, extra small portion, super salty with dark meat chicken ramen. I would never get this ever again. I would rather go to Nippon Ramen for my ramen fix. Rotisserie Chicken($ 22.50): It was ½ a chicken served over potatoes and zucchini. The chicken was very tender but overly salty. Even when we remove the skin, the meat absorbed all the salt. Unfortunately the zucchini and potatoes also absorbed the overly salty sauce. Steak and Rainbow Roll($ 26): I definitely liked this combo. I got the steak rare so it was tender and juicy. I didn’t like the sauce it came in because it was too salty so if I do order this, I would order it without any sauce or sauce on the side. The Rainbow Roll was good, Very fresh fish at a decent size Hibachi Wings($ 13.50): very tasty but really small wings. however, they do give you a lot. I definitely WILLNOT get these again. When I did a tour of the kitchen, I saw the wings sitting on a big tray in the kitchen out in the open. I don’t know how long it’s been sitting out there but it did not look appetizing to me. Korean Cauliflower($ 10): I did not like these at all. it was coated and fried. To me it tasted like deep fried, breaded cauliflower with hot wings sauce. Not impressed. Strawberry Ice Cream Scoop($ 6): yes, I could have bought a pint of Haggen Daz or a gallon of Breyer’s for $ 6. Chocolate Ice Cream Scoop($ 6): Yes, I could have bought a pint of Haggen Daz or a gallon of Bryer’s for $ 6. Key Lime Pie($ 8): It was good but still, I can buy a whole Key Lime pie for $ 8. So there you have it, I don’t know if I will be back again.

I’ve been wanting to try this place so my friend and I finally made it happen. The place wasn’t busy at all around 5:30pm. I was really looking forward to the duck poutine, cauliflower & the calamari. The taste of the poutine was alright but the fries were cold and there was barely any gravy so we asked for more. The duck was just dry chunks with no special flavor. By the time the extra gravy came out, we were half way done and discovered a bit mor of the gravy underneath… weird. We ordered the Dumplings and were told they’re slightly fried but mostly steamed. So it was strange when the filling was cold as well. After that I didn’t bother ordering cauliflower or calamari bc there’s no way I want any of that cold! Even after those 2 dishes we decided to try one more dish anyway, the bacon mushroom pasta. The flavor was nice, but slightly too salty. But again why isn’t it hot??? I just don’t understand why none of our dishes came out hot. Cold fries, cold dumplings, barely warm pasta. Not exactly what I had hoped for. Well I don’t need to do that twice.

Came in tonight and it was definitely a «miss» Service took extra long. No one at the front to validate. Bartender seemed short and inattentive. Been coming here about once a week, sometimes twice. Some days the service is awesome, other days, like to tonight isn’t. I had to flag down a manager and he took care of the rest, helped wrap things up so we could leave. Part of the problem was one of the bartenders had his friend or who seemed to be a co-worker who was off sitting at the bar. They were more interested in showing each other things on the phone than working. I’m all for chillin with your friend, but when things slow down because of that, anyone would be upset. We weren’t asked if we needed anything else, refills, or another drink. We were just ready to leave. :/

I have only been here once and I hope that I can give more stars after trying this place again. Came here for lunch, the staff was attentive and we got sat quickly. I ended up getting the Ramen, which I noticed was slightly undercooked and very salty. The flavors weren’t too bad, but I guess I was expecting something different, more of an Asian flair(cost was $ 17; unfortunately, not worth the cost). I did try my boyfriends meal which was the Paella, it wasn’t too bad, the chorizo was more of a sausage link consistency, the portion size was perfect. Can’t really go wrong with shrimp and lobster with the saffron rice. However, I did not think the plate was warranted $ 21. I do want to try other dishes because I think this place has potential. I do think this is one of the better places in the Village and I am hoping to give a better rating once I go back as mentioned previously.

Went here last Saturday evening around 8 pm. The place was packed and the wait was over an hour. There was outside seating available because it was very cold and they barely have any heat lamps outside. They offered blankets for those opting to sit outside. Our server was very polite but from the very beginning she was not very engaged. No fault of her own. She had way too many tables and was working a double shift. She did the best possible. The food was whatever. Nothing I would have to return for. Appetizers– Korean Fried Cauliflower and Yellow Fin tuna Tataki. Both were just okay B+ at best Entrée– Paella was terrible. Burnt rice and horrible flavor. F– Entrée– Prime Sirloin was mediocre. B Positive was how beautiful the restaurant is and the staff are very nice.

A review long overdue. We celebrated our girlfriend’s bday here in January(yeah a while back I know :)). The décor and ambiance was lovely. We arrived at 6pm. While waiting for the rest of the party to show up, we ordered a couple drinks in the waiting area. The Elderflower Collins was light and fresh but I needed a stronger kick :) There were also some complimentary red and white wine at the front but I did not get a chance to try them. When the rest of the party arrived, we sat outside in the patio area. It was spacious, nice and pretty at night with all the lights nearby. There’s a bar outside too! Overall the food was decent. The duck poutine really stood out from the pack, meat was tender, fries was not overcooked and the gravy was phenomenal! The steak frites was a good portion, steak was perfectly cooked topped with parsley butter, arugula was nicely dressed but the fries was a bit overcooked and under seasoned. The calamari was okay and the Korean fried cauliflower was sweet and had a bit too much sauce. The hostesses were really nice and friendly. Server was friendly too but took a while to come back and check on us from time to time. She also forgot to put in an order of one of the drinks which she later brought out. We were charged twice for it but one was later removed from the bill. Def try the super sonic gin & tonic that comes with fresh lemon-lime slush. Yum! There’s $ 10 valet in the front, some scarce parking in the front but plenty of parking in the parking structure. Located on the outside of The Village on Topanga Blvd. near Crate & Barrel. It’s definitely a nice place to hang out and enjoy some yummy drinks :)

Today I came to The Village in Woodland Hills and had a late lunch/early dinner at Joeys. This was my second time here and once again I ordered the same dish, the salmon bowl… it was delicious! I ordered it with the sauce on the side as I felt like it had too much sauce the first time so it was perfect. We started with the wings which are the perfect balance ice spice for me and of course we had French fries which I love because they were shoestring fries that were on the crispy side. The ambiance is simple and sophisticated at the same time. It’s a large restaurant with both info and outdoor seating and 2 bars. I can’t wait until summer to enjoy the outdoor seating. I would recommend this restaurant for families, couples or friends.

Came here last night with my friend. We arrived at 945pm. I wasn’t expecting a wait we were quoted 45mins which kinda shocked me for a party of 2. Thankfully we got in within 15mins which made me super happy. My friend and I started off with the Cauliflower appetizer it was not spicy at all as stated on the menu it was more sweet if anything and had a little too much sauce for my liking. It was good but could have had less sauce and more of a kick. My friend ordered the veggie burger and I got the Bollywood chicken masala for our entrees. I loved the presentation for the chicken masala it was accompanied with a garlic naan and the crunchy papadum with flavorful rice. The chicken masala was good and paired well with the rice. It’s a pretty heavy dish and I couldn’t eat it all. My friend got her veggie burger and she was happy. We did experience a minor issue with the fries they were a little too overdone however our server Chris was super friendly and accommodating and took care of it right away and gladly brought us out fresh fries. We really appreciated that and he was really sweet overall. Service was great and he even chatted with us a little bit. For desserts we ordered the chocolate molten lava cake and the maple ice cream. They were both so yummy and the chocolate lava cake did not disappoint. It literally was a lava of chocolate oozing out and the ice cream accompanied with it was delicious. The maple ice cream was unique too which had pecans on top I liked it too. All in all a great 1st time experience, the ambience is very romantic and they even have an outside bar however I believe that was closed for some reason. Service was outstanding and I definitely would come back and would try the other items on the menu!

The Ahi Tuna salad was so delicious that I wanted to go behind the counter and smack all the chefs! lol Met a few of the chefs that works there and everybody is pretty awesome. Blake is super cool. The atmosphere is beautifully arranged, very open and great for large parties. All of the waiters look like they just stepped out of America Next Top Model. Who doesnt like good looking food? I mean people. The drinks are cute. There very much date ready drinks they may keep you sober longer than you like but at least they taste good and keep you on your best behavior. Everyday is a happy hour drink menu all day long. I need to go back and enjoy more food. I definitely will go back and eat more food. Ok, honestly I think I may be stuck on the ahi tuna salad for awhile but ONE day promise I’ll try more food.

Of all the restaurants in this recently opened mall my friend chose JOEY’s for her special occasion dinner. Since the three of us had never been there, we thought it appeared to be just what we were looking for. When we arrived, we noticed an open bottle of wine with several glasses at the front desk. One of my dining companions asked if it was a sample bottle and the hostess graciously said yes, while giving her a splash in a glass. Things were looking good. We were seated almost immediately as the place wasn’t crowded. Our waitress came by, took our drink orders, an order for the calamari fritti and our entrees. About 10 minutes went by and another person came asking if we wanted to order drinks and an appetizer, to which we replied that we were waiting for the calamari. Almost 30 minutes later after that, we still hadn’t received our calamari nor had anyone come back to explain the long wait and finally our entrees arrive. I inquired about the calamari and the waitress apologized telling us she forgot to put the order in. She did offer to bring it then and there, however, with our entrees in front of us, we declined. Minutes later the manager comes to the table, also very apologetic and makes the same offer, to bring it then and there. And again we explain, it’s too late, we have our entrees. My two friends ordered the paella which they said tasted good. I ordered the Miso Ramen bowl which was okay. The ramen noodles weren’t anything special and the broth gave me a headache within 20 minutes of eating it. Was told they don’t cook with MSG. Turns out that’s not entirely true… after developing a pounding headache, when I got home I called back and was informed that ’ I’m so sorry’ that dish does have MSG. No kidding! May I also mention, not once did any servers refill our water glasses. This is the ‘I’m so sorry restaurant’ for sure. Well, they will be sorry as I’m not coming back.
