While its most difficult to sabotage a bean burrito and French fries, I wouldn’t be lying if I said that I enjoyed it. For the low price you get a high caloric, messy –ish, non blooded pocket of satisfaction. The restaurant seems to be a go to for the local folk and I can see why. The range of menu items and restaurant hours can keep a dedicated patron returning. Feel good food, unless of course you got the bean burrito, which of course comes with a natural side of laxative — but it’s worth it

I’ve lived in the area for many years. I stopped in for the first time today. I wish I would have done it sooner. A large variety of good tasting food at a nice price. Something that LA truly needs. They have my business.

I’ve been going to this place for over 10 years and let me tell you it has the best breakfast Burritos ever. I’ve gone to many places all over California and none of them come close to Jim’s Breakfast Burritos. They are DELICIOUS!!!, the actual restaurant looks like it got stuck in the 70s but don’t let that fool you. You will not be disappointed. All there food is AWESOME!

I always get the tuna fish sandwich. It is seriously amazing. They only accept cash… which is inconvenient at times.

Their Chicken Terriyaky and Pollo Asado/Grilled Chicken is delicious. I’ve been coming here for years for the same dishes. I wish they would remodel to make their place more comfortable to eat in.

I have been a long time customer of Jim“s, the beef burrito the best, cheese burger, chicken asada, quesadilla, and pancake breakfast the best, plus Mr Lee, Mrs Lee, cook Abraham very friendly people. Try it.

Waited over an hour for two breakfast burritos. Will never come here again. It wasn’t even busy… So disappointed. Unilocal failed me on this one.

I was getting my car windows tinted up the street and wanted to walk somewhere nearby for lunch. I saw Jims and decided to look at a few Unilocal reviews first. seemed ok. When I walked in it was a little twilight zone-ish.70s outdated vibe and only 2 ppl quietly eating there. The menu was vast and very affordable. I decided on the cheeseburger, fries, and drink. It was cooked fresh to order and ready within a few minutes! The burger– BOMB! Simple just the way I like it. The meat wasn’t overcooked yet charred to perfection. Fresh soft bun and fresh everything else(lettuce, onion, cheese, etc.) There’s some special sauce they use as a spread, it’s not overpowering, just tasty and keeps it being far from boring. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were pretty good too and I couldn’t help but wash this classic diner meal down with a Coca-Cola. My friend who came with me was so jealous she didn’t order anything, and even tasted my burger altho she doesn’t really eat beef. Pretty sure the place is family owned, the owners were friendly. I could care less about the lack of ambiance or out dated vibes, this is the kind of place you come to for a quick yet yummy bite to eat. P. S. Cash Only

They’ve got a quite a wide variety. We live around the block so we’ve had the chance to try a fair amount. I’d recommend the pastrami burger for lunch/dinner and the breakfast burrito for breakfast. Large portions for cheap. Super underrated breakfast spot for the value.

The place looks small and old, but the food is fantastic. I went here the first time just to waste time, because I frequent the laundromat next door. Turned out to be love at first bite. While it might not be surprising to discover great burgers and always hot/crispy fries at such a dive diner, the entrée plates are excellent as well! The food is cheap and filling. Never disappointed. FYI: cash only.

Well honestly this place is nothing special. Its tour regular burger joint that still looks like something out of the late 70s. Ive tried the bacon breakfast burrito and bacon cheese burgers with fries. They are good. This is the kind of place that you come for convenience and it wont let you down. I probably would not go out my way to cone here if i didnt live around the area. Plus i think its one of the very few places in LA were can actually get a full burger/fries/soda combo under 5.

First off, bring cash. This place used to be good years ago, one of those charbroiled burger joints. I tried the bacon cheeseburger combo and I gotta say I was disappointed, it looks greasy but actually tasted dry, the fries were kinda thick and quite greasy as well. Asked for thousand island and of course they charge you for it. The place itself isn’t quite nice looking, looks old and dirty. I’d take my food to go.

Bomb! Show me 1 restaurant that makes French toast, chicken teriyaki, and fried chicken all at 1 time bro. Jim’s keeps it real and is that neighborhood burger joint you go to after a little league game. We need more of these and less MCD’s!

Things I’ve tried here so far. that I would come back for(which I always do): 1) Hamburger special. Comes with fries and a soda. Something about the sauce that makes everything so much better. Fries are perfect crunch on the outside and soft in the inside. 2) Tuna melt. Probably one of the best I’ve had so far and that says a lot. The cheese is perfectly melted into the bread and the tuna taste pretty fresh too.(Yes you can tell when it’s been sitting out like other places) 3) Teriyaki chicken. Comes with rice and small salad. Pretty good portion. 4) Fried chicken with rice, salad, and biscuit.(My bf’s fave here). Chicken perfectly fried and not burnt. You can sub the rice for fries here. 5) steak and eggs. Pretty average compared to something you’ll find at a café in 626, but around here, it’s not bad. 6) Breakfast. Portion size bigger than Dennys. And made pretty fresh. Definitely worth trying if you haven’t. This really is a go to place for a quick meal that wouldn’t put a dent in your pocket and definite fills you up! **my bf swears by their sodas… says this is one of the best Coke soda you’ll ever taste. Lol *shrugs

Neighborhood greasy spoon. Love the fried chicken dinner. My cousin likes the chili cheese fries with lots of onions.

if you don’t have cash they will yell at you the food is good and greasy and a cheeseburger they also sell other food but what kind of clown goes to a place with burgers in the name and orders a sandwich like what are you doing with yourself cut it out

Another mediocre burger grind in la! Oh boy! The insides were filthy especially the bathroom! People seemed to be loitering. Burger was just ok. Fries were put in the trash for having zero flavor. Diet coke tasted like seltzer water. Their syrup levels must be flat

As all I have eaten from Jim’s is their cheeseburgers and fries, that’s really all I can attest to, but seeing as how I’ve been here on multiple occasions, I have obviously yet to be disappointed! This place is just across the street from our apartment and though we’ve been here going on 2.5 years, I never dated to venture into the shabby looking place. Well, shabby is an understatement since that usually conjures images of kitsch and charming messiness… what Jim’s is, is rundown and a little scary — especially if you’re a woman walking in alone. The outside area usually always has bums posted up outside, a few construction guys, and neighborhood teen boys… who are the worst! They’re the ones that heckle or circle you with skateboards making you not even really want to get near the building. Anyways, inside is as minimal as it possibly can be, it smells of salt and used cooking oil, and the main dude is not exactly friendly, but none of that matters when it comes to the fact that you can get a delicious and huge charbroiled cheeseburger and fries for like $ 5! The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the fries are addicting, and the price can’t be beat. If you live in and venture to this area, it’s definitely not a bad spot to stop in for a cheap and satisfying lunch!

I always get a lil nervous when I walk into a burger joint seeing as I don’t eat meat, but I was in the area for work and didn’t feel like walking any further in heels. Around three in the afternoon, there were only a handful of people and my fears disappeared when I walked up to the counter and saw an extensive menu that included breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and ‘Latin delights’. The lady behind the counter was cordial, and I ended up ordering a veggie burger. The place was a clean(well asides from the restroom which was filthy) no frills kinda neighborhood joint, and there were some arcade games at the front– always a plus in my book. About four minutes later my food was ready to go! Veggie burgers are usually a hit or miss in my book. I dunno if it was because I was famished, but this burger hit the spot. The veggie patty was flavorful, warm, tender, and nicely paired with pickles/lettuce/tomatoes/onions n sauce. I didn’t get the combo, but I was full with just the burger which was a good size. All in all I’m glad I dropped in, and my tummy definitely left satisfied.
