Jessica is the best! She’s done ombré and highlights on my blonde hair several times and it always looks fantastic. The color turns out so natural — people generally think my hair is this blonde by nature and are surprised when I tell them I get it done. She knows how to cut my thick hair too! It’s always worth the drive to see her since I know I’m in such good hands.

I usually don’t Unilocal,but I am so happy with my haircut I had to share. I have long hair and got a haircut 3 weeks ago by another stylist. I told her I wanted layers since my hair was long. After she cut my hair she styled it so I couldn’t tell if it was layered or not. She also told me not to wash my hair for 3 days. After 3 days I washed my hair and realized there were no layers just a blunt cut. I found Jessica on Unilocal and let’s just say this is the best haircut I have gotten in years. I definitely will be coming back for more haircuts. Next visit with Jessica will be coloring my hair. If you are looking for someone awesome I highly recommend her.

Jessica nails it, for lack of a better term! When Jessica has done my hair it’s turned out even better than I imagined!!! I love Jessica’s visions and her dedication to creating them. She is truly an artist! Not only is she talented but she is awesome, feels like I’m talking to an old friend whenever I get my hair done. She won’t let you leave looking anything but good. I always feel like a million bucks!!!

This was the first time I have ever dyed my hair and was awfully nervous. I was referred by not one but two friends and I could not be happier with the outcome. Jessica was extremely kind and professional by explaining each step of the process to ensure that I was comfortable.

After moving to NYC last year I went to 3 different salons before realizing I NEED THE JESS TREATMENT! She styled my hair back when she was at C Salon and did a wonderful job taking my color from red back to my natural color of brunette, this time she was able to bring my hair back to healthy with a great cut.
I am not back in NYC and the ladies in the office are just raving about how healthy it looks. With that being said, I need to «visit family» every 6 months now to make sure I can get a visit with Jess in. Have to mention after traveling for a short holiday visit it was so refreshing to be in her private studio at Salon Republic, it was easy to find and they have free parking!

I’ve been coming to Jessica for years and I’m always super happy. She does an amazing job with color (and I’m pretty picky). My hair is pretty long too and she always takes her time and makes sure everything is just right. She’s the best!

Jessica really is THE BEST!!! I’m probably one of the pickiest women on the planet when it comes to my hair… I don’t trust anyone and have threatened the lives of so-​called «professionals» before. (dramatic doesn’t even begin to cover it)
However, my hair has been in Jessica’s hands for more than three years now and I am happier with my lovely locks than i ever have been. The first time I saw her my hair was just past my shoulders and I was rocking lots and lots of purple color with «Bettie» bangs. I’ve been wearing some form of fringe most of my life and I say this with full confidence, nobody is more bangin’ than this chick.
Utterly perfect, every single time.
From there we transitioned my hair back to a more natural color, it was just time.
Jessica helped me nurse my hair back to health and find it’s natural shine again, I won’t ever forget my son’s face when he realized what color my eyes are. Still not sure if the purple was just distracting or if the darker brown just made for better contrast.
When I became pregnant with my second child Jessica helped me maintain sanity and kept me from doing anything crazy with my hair (because, ya know… pregnant women are insane). She even did a «house call» for me after the little one was born and I was in desperate need of a trim.
Speaking of the little ones, it needs to be mentioned that Jessica also cuts my sons hair and is literally the ONLY person who has EVER been able to get it 100% right. You’d think kids cuts would be super easy but not with my kid. He has not one, not two… but FOUR cowlicks. FOUR. His head is literally at war with his hair. I love having someone who understands that my obsession with my hair transcends to my child’s hair as well. She’s just amazing.
At my last appointment we went for a subtle ombré on my now waist-​length hair, I have grown out the bangs and embraced my «almost natural» color. My hair is definitely healthy and happy thanks to my amazing hairapist, Jessica LaRue.

I’ve been meaning to write a glowing review for Jessica since the first time she did my hair and I regret not getting to it until now — she absolutely deserves 5 stars and anyone who is looking for a new hair stylist should know about her! Not only is she amazing at what she does — but she’s a genuinely nice and interesting person. I always get my hair cut and colored, which can be a long process — but she makes it an entertaining yet laid back and relaxed experience. She’s very easy and fun to talk to, plays good music, and always goes out of her way to make you comfortable.
Not only is she a very down to earth person — she’s also incredibly skilled and amazing at what she does. She pays such close attention to detail, listens to everything that you say when describing what you want, and talks it out until you’re both on the exact same page about the style and look that you’re going for. She gets it right every time and I completely trust her! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. If you’re looking for a new hair stylist, book with her — you will be pleased with the results!

This is my first Unilocal review and definitely worth it… When I moved to LA a couple of months ago I was super nervous to find a new hair stylist. I was searching on Unilocal and saw Jessica had awesome reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I am not exaggerating when i say this, it was the best haircut i’ve ever had! I absolutely love it! I showed her some pictures and she did exactly what i asked for! She even gave me suggestions on what would look good or not. I also have super thick hair so when i asked for something that would lighten it up, she did exactly that. It feels so much better and lighter! She is definitely my go to hair person now!

Jessica is a miracle worker! It’s so hard to find a hairdresser that not only heard you but listens, and then delivers. She gave me the exact color I wanted, and is the only person I’ve ever let cut my bangs except me (and one lady who destroyed them many years ago, hence my trepidation). Go see Jessica. She is also a super cool human and in every way you’ll be happy you went.

Basically a hot mess & a hair’s width from being a hobo, probably a stylist’s nightmare. Void of specific ideas of what I wanted, but my hair was long & lifeless. Plus, the previous night was long & I was lifeless.
Jessica was an ANGEL.
Magic is made when you have this spark of chemistry with your hair stylist.
It felt like I had been sprinkled with fairy dust, granted it may have been residual alcohol leaving stars in my eyes.
But honestly, she made sure I was comfortable, offered me some tea & water, was totally patient, sweet, fun to talk to & after shooting the sh-​t with her for a while, I realized she had magically transformed my hair with some new layers! Whether I blowdry/​style/​straighten it, or leave it to air dry into a messy wave, it looks great & it is 100x healthier. I really didn’t want to part with too much length & she managed to save it! Love love love my hair now!
I made an appointment through her website, which was simple & I received a confirmation quickly. She is currently at salonrepublic in WeHo. Parking is fairly easy & the salon has a machine in the lobby to validate. Her work space is clean & inviting. Prices are beyond reasonable, as I was expecting to pay twice as much for her time & talent. But obviously she has a loyal clientele for good reason, & I now consider myself a LaRue devotee!

Jessica is a complete PRO!!!
She works hard to come up with color and cut that will work for your lifestyle. She also takes into consideration how it will grow out and if you have the knowledge to style it!
She is AMAZING!!!
Very considerate and kind.
She is in it to make you look great and continue to have your best results.

I’ve been going to Jess since she was working at C salon. I’ve done almost everything to my hair and only trust Jess with it. Her color, cuts, & just about everything is DEAD ON! I usually have a photo of the new look I am going for and Jess gets the look to exactly what I am looking for. And even with no pic in hand she know exactly what I want and executes perfectly. You won’t be disappointed with her work. She wants you to leave happy & will make sure you are or will fix it, but it’s not needed.
Her studio is perfect as well. Intimate & cute. She has some cool 80’s wall art as well as some street art. She has drinks to offer from water, juice, beer, wine, champs, mimosas, as well as coffee, tea, & my personal fav, Hot Apple Cider.
And please don’t get me started on the music. Jess has awesome playlists from just about every genre. From one music lover to another Jess has the best music.
Jess is super sweet, funny, & makes you feel incredibly comfortable. Het talent already speaks for itself but it’s also really nice when you enjoy the company of your hairdresser. Especially when there for several hours.

JESSICA LARUE is without a doubt my «GO-​2» for all my hair needs. She is knowledgeable & understands the sculpting of hair essential to my head. A true hair-​style professional.

One of my girlfriends recommended Jessica to me and I am SO elated she did. Jessica is immediately personable and understanding, both when it comes to speaking about your hair cut/​colour or virtually any conversation topic. She cut my hair the first time and did free bang trims for nearly a year afterward (!). Finally, I got another haircut and an ombré colour — she played it safe as I asked and I love it, although I’m ready to take the full plunge and I’m sure she’ll do a perfect job.
She is an incredibly wonderful stylist, not to mention an all around lovely person. Every time I leave I feel like texting her and asking her to hang out as friends. She gets the highest Unilocal recommendation for being 100% fantastic.

My first appointment with Jessica I asked her to cut my nearly shoulder-​length hair into a pixie cut. She did an amazing job, I got so many compliments, and I have never looked back! Each time I see her I ask for something slightly different and she always nails it. She also has great recommendations for those visits where I’m waffling and not really sure what I want.

I am so happy with how it turned out. I have been looking for someone to do my hair who has talent and doesn’t over charge for a long time now. Jessica is totally that person. She is super talented with both cut and color and her prices are totally fair. She is also very professional (yet friendly and easy to talk to) and has a nice stylish clean environment.
