Horrible place, horrible service. I stumbled across this store on my way out of Michael Levine looking for cushions and felt an obligation to write a review for my fellow Unilocalers. You would think that with millions of fabric stores in the same vicinity, your competitive advantage would be great customer service, right? Unfortunately, this place is not business savvy at all. I came in looking for cushions and upholstery for my chairs and was told they had it in the back of the store. I was then escorted to the back of the store and told that I would have to pay for the cushions before they would get them for me to make sure I was a ‘serious’ buyer, which in and itself is absurd, but I said that if they are the right size that I would purchase them and needed to see them first. The owner or worker, old middle eastern man, got very upset and rude with me and told me that he would not go get the cushions for me from the BACK of his own store since I was not a serious buyer and asked me to leave and come back when I am ready to purchase. I was trying to reason with him and ask more questions about the cushions and he refused to answer my questions and became childish as if ignoring me… ??! Who conducts business this way? Very weird and rude. Why would anyone pay for something before seeing it? And which business owner/worker/grown man acts this way?. And the worst part is that my mother was visiting from out of town and I felt horrible that she was experiencing this absurd behavior. The best part is that we ended up literally going next door where the service was excellent and the owner Masoud was very kind and helpful. He even ordered custom sized cushions for me, which I did not pay for until they were complete. I enjoyed the service so much that I ended up buying all of the upholstery for my chairs and sofas there totaling over $ 1100. I’m so happy I didn’t give my business to Jasmine Fabrics. To be very honest, I was not going to write a review as I am not an avid reviewer and I believe in both businesses and people having bad days, but my mother told me that when we went back to pick up the completed cushions from next door, the same old man saw us and was talking ill about us to his team, which upset my mother. I was appalled when she told me this but compelled to write a review. If I had known then I would have said something to them in person but something better came out of it, I am the first(and probably only) reviewer of this store, which is karma in itself. In conclusion, I would highly recommend skipping this place, nothing special and much better competition around. Side note, the store next door I went to was called Glamour Fabrics; However, there are many fabric stores downtown with friendly owners, great service and fair prices, Jasmine Fabric is definitely not one of them. Hope this yepls!
