Jamba Fresh

Warm customer service and delicious drinks!

REAL fresh juice (not like that other Jamba place). I asked for a pineapple and banana smoothie. She took a fresh pineapple, peeled, sliced, and blended it. Large 20oz+ $ 5 even. (FYI — The swap meet apparently has been completely remodeled. Everything looks brand new: tile, walls, ceiling, etc.)

Enter the well-​past-​its-​prime La Fiesta Swapmeet in North Hollywood, head past the eerily empty stalls to the back remnants of what used to be a food court, and you’ll find Jamba Fresh sitting in a nondescript corner. The sole proprietor, Mercedes, mixes up wondrous combinations of fruits and juices into raspados, bionicos, licuados and other delicacies to cool you on a warm Valley day.
All fruits are fresh and seasonal; mango, pineapple, melon, strawberry, tamarind.. .and she even carries the hard-​to-​find chamoy, a perfect complement to mango in the hous special, Chamango. With an equally impressive array of helados & fresos, Mercedes makes all drinks by hand and consistently serves with a warm smile. Best of all, the large drink will set you back only $ 4.50. Well worth your time and the trip into the past when you’re in North Hollywood.
