Looking for a paper lantern? This place has all sizes big and small and all colors. I needed a 30 inch lantern and they had it!

Great place to pick up Chinese theme decorations. Narrow isles makes it a little difficult to look at everything this shop has to offer. One item that seems really popular with customers are their talisman keychains — there seems to be a keychain to ward off all sorts of evils or welcome all sorts of luck. I was very tempted to purchase the«Bring Me a Husband» keychain.

When visiting a place like Chinatown with a desire to learn more about the culture, the language barrier and the lack of interest from most shopkeepers can make that quite challenging. Of the many trinket stores we visited today, only one obliged me — Jadetime! Delightful Mary, who I can only presume is the owner of this shop is so generous with her time and knowledge of each of the pieces sold here. Great sense of humor! She was kind enough to tell us which pieces of jade signified Luck, Money or Love. I of course chose money because my priorities are all askew. The pieces are well made and moderately priced. Lots of jade jewelry, zodiac items and home trinkets. Such a nice experience! I will be back and I hope Mary is there!

Cheap prices for lanterns and parasols. They won’t bargain cause it’s already at a discounted price. It’s about $ 1 – 2 for lanterns depending on the size and they carry the lights that inside them. The lights are a $ 1 each. They have parasols starting from $ 3.50 — $ 6.50. What she failed to point out was the length of the actual handle. I bought two for a wedding but realized after taking it home that the handles are too short! Only good for décor not to carry. Little English but if the daughter is there she can translate. Lots of colors in pastels available. Street metered parking or lots. Watch out for the signs. Parking is scarce and the lots charge $ 5 so it might be better to just but online. Prices in the store don’t seem to match what I saw on the site and with the little English they spoke it was a hassle to communicate.

The hours are incorrect as posted on Unilocal. They are open daily. Smaller store than Feng. Also sell many Asian decorative items. Came primarily to see their options for paper lanterns and found that they also carry paper poms(pre-cut and pre-strung). The store is clean, well-organized, and the Owner is friendly. She will bargain with you if you want an item cheaper. They also have an online store that sells the same items.

I was planning a party and wanted to make paper flowers… When I realized how much tissue paper that would take… eh, no. After checking out big name party store prices, I decided to hit the streets to find the best deal on paper flowers and lanterns. Unilocal sent me to the lovely little women at Jadetime! They were great! The place itself is tiny, packed with too many great knick knacks to focus on(keep focus), I told the lady what I needed and she showed me and ENDLESS array of colors and sizes of both! She offered a discount(yay) for my bulk items and in just a couple minutes I was out… and spent WAY less than I would have doing it any other way.

Great place for paper lanterns! They have a wide variety of colors and sizes. I was also able to get a discount for buying a dozen. The shop also carried chinese wedding decorations. I was able to get everything I needed at one shop to decorate my mom’s place for our Tea Ceremony :)

You might have passed this place and never realized what the name of the store actually was. The shop owner lady is real nice. She’s one of the few nice vendors you’ll come across. It’s a small little shop with the typical Chinatown touristy stuff(Items made from«Chinese» fabrics, little Buddha statues, etc.). They have really cute shoes/slippers and my mom bought a few.

Helping a friend with her wedding and just ordered a bunch of lanterns at the last minute after her original vendor went MIA. Sales staff was very nice, helpful and(if everything arrives in time!) able to save the day. They had lots of color choices which were in stock and at a good price.

This is the best place in Chinatown to get colored paper lanterns. They have just about any color and size you could want(often in multiple shades) and the best prices I’ve found. They also have some very nice scarves that would cost a lot more anywhere else — my new go to for spur of moment birthday gifts.

Ventured here this weekend from San Diego to try and get some paper lanterns for my wedding ceremony. They have a wonderful selection of colors and sizes and at great prices! They were so helpful too– I needed 15 in each color and they had more than enough and gave me a nice discount on the already great prices for buying so many. The woman who helped me also had some really good ideas too for how to use the parasols and lanterns. I would not be surprised if I ventured back here prior to my wedding.
