Jacob’s Diamond & Estate Jewelry

I found a lovely Retro necklace on my fav jewelry site & seeing the dealer was Jacob’s Diamond & Estate Jewelry, plus knowing we would soon be coming to the LA area for Pageant of the Masters, I made an inquiry to see if they would be around so the Mr & I could come view this necklace in person
Turns out they do not have regular Saturday hours but agreed to come in just for us — very nice!
We arrived a bit early & the owner was already there — he brought out the necklace from the safe & the rest was history. Just as lovely as it was pictured & the price was more than fair
Given this was a Saturday & they weren’t «officially» open, the cases were empty except for a small display of rings, so we did not get to see the full variety of other pieces they offer… but from the wonderful experience the Mr & I had, plus seeing their online offerings on my fav jewelry site, we would definitely be interested in checking out more from Jacob’s & hope to visit again in the near future!

They spent a lot of time with me, showed me wonderful vintage rings and — although I went to many other jewelers — I had to come back and buy the engagement ring here! My bride is very happy…

Jacob was the one person in the entire jewelry mart area downtown who had the knowledge and the kindness to help us. He has a very deep background in vintage jewelry and was wonderful. I would not purchase my vintage jewelry anywhere else.

I need nothing –be firm and get the right things for you with best honest.

Very knowledgeable jeweler. Definitely knows a thing or two about vintage rings and jewelry, With that being said, doesn’t mean you can treat customers like a waste of time just because I’m not buying a 40K Asher cut ring!
Checked out his website multiple times and had my eye on this perfect diamond ring. I was actually very in love with it and thought my lady would fall over dead. I had seen others during the months that I was shopping and this probably the best I one I had seen. When I went to the shop to see it in person, Jacob treated me very badly. One of his least expensive rings that he had, but he made feel like I wasted his time and effort. I work very hard for the money I have and don’t expect to be treated this way when I want to give you thousands of my dollars.
Ended up giving my money downstairs to Magnolia Jewelers who made me a custom made ring in the vintage style that I was looking for for almost a grand less.

I searched for an estate 1920s diamond engagement ring for 2 weeks, going to pretty much every estate jewelers in town. I finally saw the ideal ring on Jacob’s website and went down there that day to see it. Jacob was very helpful in explaining some of the science and craftsmanship and assured me it was what it claimed to be. He recommended that I also get it professionally appraised, which I did, and the appraisal came to almost exactly the same price that Jacob appraised it at, so I was very happy. They have a good, though small selection of diamond rings, but an excellent all-​round jewelry collection. Jacob comes highly recommended as a knowledgeable and trustworthy jeweler.

I saw their ad in Town & Country and decided to check out their web site. As I was going through their collection, there was one particular ring that just stood out for me and most importantly it had a combination of my birthstone and diamonds. I kept thinking about this ring for a few days and then I contacted the store via email to get info. To make the long store short, after going back and forth on email, phone calls and etc, I purchased the ring and couldn’t be happier. The service was great, fast shipping with all required paper work. The ring is gorgeous and Jacob is great person to deal with. They had some very nice pieces that are work of art.

Jacob is very knowledgeable and helpful. his collection is amazing and his prices are very reasonable. if you are looking for unique, antique and estate jewelry, this is a great place to visit. i will return to write more if my engagement ring ends up coming from here, but just from our brief visit with him today, i highly recommend checking Jacob’s store first if you are looking for something unconventional and really special.
