I’ve only had the pad Thai here and it’s always delicious. The Peanut sauce is wonderful. Something I like is that they serve me half noodles and half fried rice upon request with no complaints! Remember, everyone: they’re only here on Thursdays for the farmer’s market!

The gist of this review: You need to try the chicken and pad thai here(with the peanut sauce of course). Simply put, Jack’s Thai meets my «trifecta» of criterions that I use to judge any restaurant/business: Quality, Quantity, and Customer Service. You’ll need a bit of luck if you’re planning on giving this place a try because 1) As a vendor, they only show up on Thursdays at the farmers market located next to City Hall East and 2) The line can definitely build up; my advice, get there before the lunch rush. Your patience will definitely pay off though as the food is phenomenal here. No exaggeration, I’ve been coming to Jack’s Thai on almost a weekly basis since January 2014. The chicken and pad thai is what I would immediately recommend to anyone ordering here for the first time. The marinade they use for their chicken is amazing; it’s smokey, slightly tangy, and did I say amazing? Also, the chicken is grilled extremely well, I don’t think I’ve ever had an issue with the chicken here being too dry(and trust me, I’m super sensitive about that kind of thing). The pad thai is a personal favorite of mine; they keep it extremely simple and, to me personally, it tastes very rustic. Be sure to ask for the peanut sauce because it just elevates the taste of the noodles as a whole and you’d be doing yourself an injustice without it. Every dish here ranges around $ 8 and trust me, for the amount of food they give you, it’s so worth it. Coming from someone thats tried almost every vendor at this farmers market, Jack’s Thai BBQ is the best bang for your buck. I could ramble on, but you really need to experience it first-hand. If you enjoy copious amounts of simple food done right, then you must try Jack’s Thai BBQ.

Solid choice amongst the varied selections of the City Hall Farmers Market on Thursdays(in the plaza between City Hall East and City Hall South), this is by far the most popular, with lines often trailing through the plaza. The Pad Thai is tasty and filling, but if you’re really hungry you can get it with their chicken. Thai iced tea is a sweet and refreshing plus. The line moves pretty fast, but if you don’t want to wait in the sun, arrive closer to 1:00 p.m. Service is friendly and they added this Unilocal page after I asked if they had one. So show them some Unilocal love if you have a hankering for some decent Pad Thai. No need to grab cash; they accept cards. Double plus.
