I wandered over to Ms. Vintage next door, but they were closed (I think they open on Thursdays at 11 am). So, I walked away defeated, but then my eye caught Items, located a few doors down. Uh oh, here comes that awesome Dolly Parton song ;-)
Anyhow, I walked in and was greeted by a very happy Kirsten and her cute rescue dog. I had a lot of fun chatting with her and ended up walking away with a cute belt, an amazing dress, a new place to shop and a new friend! She told me that her store was originally a shop-​by-​appointment denim shop and what a cool space it is. I encourage you to go and check it out. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks, Kirsten! xx

Items is one of those rare gems of a clothing boutique. First of all, everything in the store is affordable. I have found great buys from leather jackets to dresses and boots. The owner does a fine job in selecting items that are fashionable, unique and accessible. The store itself, located in the heart of Playa Del Rey (right across the street from one of my favorite restaurants on the westside, The Tripel) is also extremely well appointed. The owner is joy to shop with (yes, shop WITH). Highly recommend popping in on this store, especially if you have a night planned and need something cool. Love this place!
