Italian Express

After hearing about their eggplant pizza, I have to say that I was not all to excited. After trying it though, I could not wait to return. It was delectable! Service was good and you should go try it if you are in the area.

One of my favorite late night eateries in Westwood Village. My friends and I have been coming here for years. Their pink sauce rigatoni is delicious!

Their garlic cheese rolls really are the bomb. I have them put some pepperoni in them in addition to the garlic and cheese and it makes them crazy good. They’re highly addictive.
And the guy who runs the place is a real good dude.

Italian Express has horrible customer service. First of all, every time I’ve ordered a pizza, it’s taken at least an hour or two to get it. Once, it never came at all. Second, I ordered an extra large today, which is supposed to be a 16 inch pizza, but it came as a 14 inch pizza. After five minutes on the phone with the restaurant, they started yelling at me and my friends and saying that we were wrong. Absolutely awful. And the pizza tastes like cardboard most of the time.

I have been to this place many times. I truly like this place. The pizza tastes like Italy pizza and the garlic bread is amazing. The owner is a great guy. I would recommend this place.

Delicious food for affordable prices. The times I have gone there have been what seem slow nights and I have no trouble getting a table. Food may take a while to arrive but it’s worth it. I try to get something new each time but I seem to cave with the pizzas and pastas. Definitely a go-​to place for the late night dinners.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. They have horrible customer service because they gave us the wrong pizza and we ate some of it thinking they messed up and that it is ok because they messed up on our individual pizza that we had ordered. No big deal. Lol no. The delivery boy actually messed up and blamed it on us… We are paying you to not mess up… The worst part is when we called the company they yelled at us. Italian express… next time be more compassionate. Sincerely, a lost valued customer. Better believe I’ll tell everyone I know not to order from you. Have a nice life.

I can confirm that the 3am delivery time was plus, but have to say that the pizza was pretty darn good. The sauce wasn’t too sweet, the ingredients were clearly fresh and the crust as tasty. I even ordered the choc mousse cake for dessert and it is yummy!

The food isn’t amazing, some things are pretty good though. (Try the garlic cheese knots!!) but they are fast and they deliver in a pretty good time and are priced ok.
I rarely see people in here actually eating during the day though. This is one of those places that everyone just orders takeout or delivery.

I ordered from this place for the first time last night. The garlic cheese rolls are INSANE! So incredibly delicious! The rigatoni with pink sauce was also very good. The delivery woman was polite and prompt as well. I will definitely be ordering from Italian Express again.

Such a bomb place; the place is very cozy and the food is an absolute yum. Fresh ingredients with unique flavored. Make sure to try the vegeterian Alfredo pizza

The closest I have ever come to giving a 1 star review. Walking in the staff was nowhere to be seen, it actually felt deserted. Then when someone came out they were quite rude.
I got some rigatoni with marinara because i just wanted some pasta. Unfortunately for me the dish came out and the portion was pretty small, not very filling after a long day of class and a decent walk down the hill into town.
There were a few dirty forks on the floor, no ice in the ice machine, and the salad bar, which admittedly I did not pay for, just looked real sad and I was happy with my decision to avoid it.
It feels like they’re not even trying.

The delivery drivers have been lazy and rude. Ordered twice each time they said they couldn’t park and had me come down to meet them. Both times I was standing there waiting for them then he finally showed up. Apparently he called when he was a couple blocks away lied about parking. Then thought he was going to get a tip. Nope! Gave me a childish attitude and gave me a regular coke instead of diet. DON’T ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

Ordered delivery before they closed but never got my food
Called 45 min into ordering, the guy said the food is going to arrive soon (and he was rude) so I waited. And then 45 more min later I called again cos food was not here. And the same guy just said they are closed and told me to contact the company I ordered from to cancel it. And then before I could say anything he said he has to go and hung up.
Overall a very bad experience, and I hope they learn some decent customer service and have some basic manners.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! NEVER ORDER FORM HERE!!!
I placed a $ 367.17 catering order on ⁵⁄₁₉ for a 5:45pm delivery on ⁶⁄₁. At 1:15pm on the day of (⁶⁄₁) I called to confirm the order and the manager (Rene) said that he had no record of the order. I told him that I had placed it with the owner (Steve) over 2 weeks ago and that I wanted to speak to him. Rene said that the owner was home SLEEPING so he couldn’t get in touch with him. In a panic because I had 30 people to feed in less than 4 hours, I called back 15 minutes later and a woman named Norma picked up. I explained the situation and she said that she «had heard about my order.» Norma put me on hold for 8 ½ mins and called the owner. She came back to the phone to say that the owner wasn’t going to process the order.
At 6:30pm, in the MIDDLE OF MY EVENT, I got a call from the owner Steve, who proceeded to yell over the phone that the order was never confirmed, they didnt receive a purchase order from me, etc. I explained that I never received an INVOICE from them outlining my order, so of course he didnt receive a purchase order. Invoice = purchase order. I told him that I obviously took my business elsewhere and they lost all of that money that they could have made. I also told him NEVER to yell at me over the phone again as I was not his child.
Terrible, rude, scummy staff who dont know how to run a business. Never patronize them!

We were hungry, it was late, and we didn’t feel like driving to get something. Unilocal to the rescue!
It was the middle of the night and my friend was craving pizza. A quick search led us to IE. I placed an order for two personal sized pizzas and a salad for delivery. The place is less than 2 miles from me, but from past experience I knew the wait would be about an hour. That was not unusual. But half an hour after placing my order, I started reading the reviews on Unilocal and got worried. Another 30 mins passed and I gave them a call just to make sure they even got my order. A man answered and when I gave him my address, he made a sound implying that it was really far even though it’s not at all. Another 20 – 25 mins went by and nothing so I placed another call. The same man said the delivery guy should be there any minute and apologized for the wait saying it was particularly busy that night. We waited a total of 1.5 hrs and got our food, which was still nice and hot at least.
We ordered the chicken caesar salad, Margherita pizza, and the hawaiian pizza. The Margherita pizza was the clear winner. Tons of garlic and the tomatoes tasted really fresh! Loved it! But we didn’t see or taste any basil. They either forgot or chopped it really finely and it was lost in the marinara sauce. The hawaiian was just ok. I had the caesar salad for lunch the next day and that too was just ok. It was pretty pricey for what I got.

Oh IE… the garlic cheese rolls… the cheese pizza with eggplant on it (trust me guys this is the booooombbbb — crispy eggplant that I initially thought was meat) were the only things I got.
Super cheap and great if you’re craving decent pizza.
