Illuminations

I really like the fact they have higher class candles and accessories.
Unlike going to Target or Wal-​Mart to just get your run of the mill candles.
I will definitely miss it being in the West Side Pavillion Mall on Pico Blvd.
I always looked forward to swinging by for their Halloween decorations and candles. And the Christmas season was always a must too. I was in there today and its sad to see it go and see people loose jobs.

Wow, since tourist oriented hack candle maker Yankee Candle Co took over the high end candle company it seems like it has hit a downward spiral.
Yankee Candle has systematically reduced the quality of product ranges for Illuminations.
While the staff is very nice and helpful, the range of products has taken a horrible plunge to include tacky candles from Yankee and other no-​name associated brands.
Gone are many quality products from illuminations. seems like they cut back on alot, some nice stuff remains, but you can feel a huge identity shift to a corporation which honestly shows they do not understand a high end customer, instead they are intent on a making illuminations more like Yankee Candle, which is sad cause Yankee Candles suck ass.
also gone are the great promotions and discounts which illuminations had before. now the promotions are alot less % and honestly, reduce the likelihood to push extra buys.
simply put, this was a great lil candle company, now it’s losing its lustre.
i really hope they get their act together, cause if they don’t i am sure most customers will look elsewhere for their candles and etc.

Update, they really have been nice in this store lately, great stuff for holidays and the employees are super and helpful
