Well, I like this place. I come by when I take management classes. Their coffee tastes the best among all coffee house on campus. And I also like the chicken special panini.

This is the worst café I’ve been to in LA. I’d rather sit on the floor in a hallway in UCLA than sit here. The staff plays bass rap music out in the food area as well as in the«Exchange» room, which is supposed to be for meetings. I can’t focus. Don’t come here.

My best friend and I decided to go here because we used to go the other location in Tarzana quite often. Unfortunately the other location closed down recently, which brought us here. My friend was craving the gnocchi, his usual order at the other location. I was just looking for something small. Unfortunately this location does not sell the gnocchi, so he just settled for a penne Lorenzo, while I ordered a caprese tramezzini along with a plain iced tea. It took them a good 10 minutes to serve me my iced tea. It wasn’t even a busy day for them, we were practically the only ones in the restaurant during this time. When my caprese came out, it was luke-warm and dry. My friend was not satisfied with his pasta either, it just tasted like tomato sauce to him and nothing more. Immediately after finishing our dinner, we began to feel nauseous. Not exactly what we were expecting out of coming here. The staff and customer service were perfectly fine, but the food was disappointing.

I’m a building manager in Ackerman Union & I constantly get asked by our guests on campus, «where can I get coffee! Where’s the nearest Starbucks?» Well folks, we practically only have one source of fresh coffee and that’s ASUCLA’s coffee. I really do not like it at all and I won’t buy some unless it’s free! The only exception is il tramazino near the business school. I first tried il tramazino during finals and it totes hit the spot. Lemme break it down! Coffee: I love! So good. So much richer. Food: I’ve had the chicken panini which really IS all that & the ham-cheese breakfast sandwich. It was pretty delish but a little pricey. I opened at work and this is a nice«treat yo’self» pick me up. Staff: was super friendly and attentive. Sometimes they do take a while with your order though. General Ambiance: I think it could be cleaner, be rearranged to offer more study accessible corners & a makeover to better reflect it! Other than the price and the few details, this place is great!

I’m honestly so mad that I didn’t try this place until now, when I’m a senior graduating in a few weeks. If I knew this place existed before, I would’ve been a lot fatter than I am now. Like, a lot. The paninis are so so good. Granted I’ve only tried one, the Chicken Special, but looking at the menu items, I just want to try all of them. The paninis here are what I wanted the 1919 paninis to be. My chicken panini had avocado, grilled chicken, basil butter, sundried tomatoes and probably some other stuff too, I’m not entirely sure but it was so good and everything in the panini just went so well with each other. The other paninis looked good too like the prosciutto one and even the veggie ones. They also had these cute little Filo Pizzas that i’ll probably try one day if i’m looking for something not so filling. Basically, I’m upset I didn’t find this place sooner and now I have like, 8 weeks to eat everything here and I’m gonna do it because it all seems great. For a campus eatery, this place is honestly amazing. It’s cute, has infused water, and serves some great paninis and coffee. Come get fat with me.

For an on-campus restaurant, this place is amazing. Best restaurant on campus, no questions asked. The prices may vary, but their paninis, while awesome, sit within the $ 8.50 range. I personally got the chicken special panini, which I enjoyed. They also carry a range of pastries, which they are willing to heat up for you. Most of these delectables lay between $ 3-$ 4, and I really found their cinnamon rolls to be delicious. They did, however, get my friend’s order wrong, so I guess I would technically give them three stars. She still enjoyed her variable panini, containing(to our surprise) pieces of cantaloupe inside. So I suppose a 3.5 star rating will have to suffice.

Their food has seriously degraded in taste/quality and their workers are rude. Last time I went in, I wanted to purchase a cookie and they smugly responded with their $ 5 minimum policy on credit cards, and even refused to take my debit card as well. Is the processing fee really worth losing a customer forever? It is especially ironic these guys are located next to UCLA Anderson Business School given that they totally lack business acumen with such a shortsighted policy. Good riddance Il Trem, I won’t miss you.

Sadly, I am a frequent patron of Il tram. As a regular customer, I enjoy the food(mostly paninis), but the menu is overpriced and hot items take a long time to be prepared(think 10 – 20 minutes). I recommend the Firenze or Chicken Special panini. You can order online, though the staff doesn’t always start your order until you arrive anyway.

By far the best café on campus! Love this little Italian gem tucked away at UCLA in the Anderson School of Business. The food tops every spot on campus and the ambiance is much more low-key compared to some of the more central eateries. Il Tramezzino serves your typical Italian fare; coffee, baked goods, salads, homemade soup(flavor changes daily), pasta and panini sandwiches. Earlier this week I ordered the prosciutto classic panini for lunch and it was fantastic! They even offer the option to order half a panini if you’re not that hungry. Il Tramezzino has free wifi and plenty of seating both inside and out. Staff is also very friendly even during the crazy lunch rush! Check it out if you’re looking for a solid dining option on the UCLA campus.

Love this place. The one in beverly hills is nice as well — but since i’m an Anderson student — the one on campus is really convenient. Delicious coffee and wraps.

This café is located in the middle of the MBA school. I always come here for a quick coffee or iced tea. They do a great speciality drink which is coffee, nutmeg, whipped cream, chocolate… try it it’s delicious and fragrant without being cloyingly sweet. They can ice any tea bag you choose… My usual order is an iced peach tea. Sometimes I’ll add a strawberry fruit shot. Delicious! The ladies/men behind the counter are extremely friendly and full of life. You always hear them cracking jokes, singing a tune, or livening up the place. They will usually have a soup of the day. I’ve tried vegetable and broccoli cream, and both were delicious. They give extra bread if you ask. There are 3 free water dispensers on the side: plain, strawberry/cucumber, cucumber. Overall, great staff and yummy food/drinks. I’ll be back often

Today is a gray day for me at Il Tram. I usually have a very pleasant meal here and sometimes I take it to go… today was one of those days I needed it to go. Well apparently the cashier was either new or didn’t hear and assumed my order and it was the same for the young lady who was expediting the meals. I ordered their what sounded like a delicious prosciutto, goat cheese, and arugula panini with their lentil soup to go… well I got the lentil soup, but instead of the special I got the regular prosciutto sandwich … to dine in. When I told the young lady that I wanted it to go she told the chef«the guy changed his mind» to the cook, she wrapped my sandwich and put it in a bag with a smile. I hadn’t realized it untill I opened it at my desk and saw cantaloupe. I looked at the receipt and saw that it was billed correctly except for the«dine in» part, so the chef mis read the ticket. All in all a sad day for Il Tram. I’ll still attend on days when I need it, but my visits may be more infrequent.

Surprisingly tasty. Best food on campus. Their paninis are amazing, especially the chicken ones, avocado and sun dried tomatoes… what’s not to love? Their salads are fresh, flavorful and a good size. I cannot say enough good things about the soups. The vegan carrot soup will change your life. Well, not really, but still wonderful. The desserts are also lovely. I trek across campus all the time for this place. Their staff is friendly and service is usually quick. But expect to wait a bit if you arrive right at noon. There is ample seating both inside and out.

Always has such friendly, hip staff waiting to take your order. The paninis here are SO. GOOD. Sure, they aren’t consistent with the taste and stuffing generosity but that’s probably because it’s made by students on different shifts. As long as they taste good, that’s all that matters. My favorite is the firenze, but I always try new things because they never disappoint. They also have water out for you-one normal option and another with some sort of vegetable or fruit, such as cucumber or lemons. It’s a nice, refreshing change to the nasty tap water offered at other campus food areas. One note: if you order a sandwich salad combo and get leafy greens salad expecting spring mix, think again. It will be the cheapest salad greens, the light green kind, so you might as well get more bang for your buck and choose another option, perhaps the pasta salad.

Although pricey, it’s my favorite place to go at ucla for lunch. It’s a great place to «treat yourself» after a long day or a midterm, and it’s got a classic ambience. It can get a bit dirty during busy hours but otherwise it’s fine. There are lots of vegetarian options and my favorite thing to get there is the Veggie #2 panini.

Just a-ok. I ordered the penne w/marinara sauce and bufalo cheese. Marinara sauce was on the bland side. The penne was cooked perfectly however. I deducted a star because i encountered a RUDE staff member! However, the gentleman at the register was beyond friendly and super funny! I noticed the cook was a rather young male, the person bringing the food out and calling names was the one I encountered that was rude! I also noticed they were gossiping(like girl gossip) about unprofessional things and cursing. The guy brought out my to-go container and I asked if I could get a bag since I specifically was asked at the time of the order if it was for her or «to-go,» I knew I said to-go. I expected it to be bagged up nicely since I was walking to my car on the other side of campus. This young dude says in a way as if I had just offended him. He says, «well, we don’t give bags, we just give it to them like that, but, I mean if you want a bag, I’ll give you one» Really? no sh*t, if I didn’t want a bag then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I realllllyyyyy loathe when employees have mentalities as if that bag or even ketchup packs, OR something so petty as a napkin are being deducted off their pay, I mean this dude didn’t even help me put the food in, all he did literally was give me the paper bag! I won’t be back unless I am craving some pasta! I also like dhow they have the Joia sodas! yum!!!

My friend wanted a place that was on campus for a quick 1-hr birthday meal. If it were me, I would have chosen Panda Express! The style here is a café — you go up and order, they call your name and you pick up your food from the counter. I ended up getting the Turkey Special Panini sandwich, which sounded pretty awesome(slice of turkey breast, sun dried tomato, avocado, provalone cheese and garlic sauce). It came out to 8.99 with tax, which I was thinking in my mind kind of expensive for a sandwich, but I figured, oh well, it’ll probably be a big one. When I picked it up from the pick-up area, I was stunned. It was tiny. It could have been called the«small one» for crying out loud. The height was about ¾″, so basically smashed down. There was barely any other toppings in it. Yes they did have the cheese, turkey, and avocado, but it was super flat and not appealing looking at all. When biting into it, it was decent. It wasn’t good, and it definitely was NOT worth 9 dollars. Omg. And we had to trek all the way from south campus to here on a hot day. Totally not worth it. If eating on campus again, I’m going to Panda Express! More flavor, bang, and less walking. On the plus side, it’s on a nice area of campus, where the Business School is located. They have nice architecture and seating on the outside(and inside if you want A/C). But other than that, ugh!

This is the best food and coffee on campus. The staff is amazing, and very nice to their regulars. It’s full of Anderson(Business) and Kaufman(WAC/Dance) students. The back patio is so pretty, and the espresso is bomb. I will say that they charge wayyy to much for espresso($ 4 for a double shot on ice, whereas it’s $ 1.92 at Starbucks). All of their paninis are great. The soups ALWAYS satisfy. Nowadays they ask for a $ 5 minimum for credit. Pro Tip: The cheapest thing that will fill you up is the pasta salad. It’s arugula, tomato, penne and olive oil, but it’s a solid buy at around $ 5.

Probably the best place to eat on UCLA campus. Everywhere else seems so low rent and imitation fast food. This place is kept nicely in the business school, my favorite part of UCLA campus, and has a wide selection of pinini, salads, coffee, and pastry. The service is nice and the building is big if you want to hang out or take a chair to yourself to study. While I would never come here if I was not just a student walking by, I would however make the walk to come chow down for lunch if I am on campus and want to be a little happier with my lunch.
