I will simply say that no one does breakfast better and the staff at this ihop make the experience exceptional.

I wouldn’t normally rate an IHOP, but this one is super close to where I live and it’s very clean and all the staff I have encountered have been friendly and attentive. The food is standard and doesn’t stick out because, well, it’s IHOP. However, I’ve encountered many that are dirty, sloppy and with unfriendly staff, usually while I’m traveling. This particular one has high ratings because it’s what every IHOP should be like.

The Unilocal coupon makes it so worth it. This is probably the best iHop that I have ever been too. The service is good, the food is good, the price is as expensive as I’ll pay for

Feeling guilty about eating breakfast here 4 times in 7 days!!! The sirloin tips and eggs and hash brown is simply delicious. Splash on some A1 for a bit of zing!

This review is for IHOP store, #712 in LA, on Sawtelle. I wanted to take a second and give my compliments to Waitress Charlyn and Manager Juan Gonzalez. I came in around early Jan, and I was super hungry(I think it was Sat or Sun morn) and Charlyn was so right on it– very attentive and her customer service was professional, courteous and best of all even though it was super swamped and busy, Charlyn never acted hassled or forgot anything I asked for. She had a good attitude. I had to tell the manager Juan Gonzalez on my way out that she was so excellent. Juan was also very pleasant, and I watched how well he kept the kitchen and the staff flowing in an orderly fashion, again, keeping everything under control with tons of people and screaming kids everywhere. Juan was very sincere, nice and pleasant, and it was obvious to me that he cares greatly about representing IHOP and takes his job as a manager very seriously. Also the valet guy, Louis, very attentive, excellent timing with all the cars coming in one on top of another in a breakfast rush– great attitude, no wait for my car. Thank you for the pancakes, the coffee and the hospitality.

Giving this place 5 stars based on the service we had. I mean, it was good food, classic ihop food, but our server Arturo was awesome. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the menu and restaurant. Most times I eat an ihop the Service is just kind of a «what do you want» type of feel. Arturo made us feel welcome and was super attentive. Not too often you find that kind of service and caring at an ihop. Thanks Arturo!

Second Visit: The most recent visit that my girlfriend and I made to the International House of Pancakes on West Ohio in Los Angeles, CA was an experience that gave me reasons to return; in fact, they are probably the same reasons that most people look for when they go out to eat: great service and great food. Even at rush hour on a Sunday afternoon, the service seemed to be flowing with ease, a stark contrast to my last visit, and the warm entrees were just as mouthwatering as they were when I was a kid and fell in love with IHOP in the 1980s. What a way to bounce back! It was entertaining to witness the shock on my girlfriend’s face when she tasted cold bananas on a warm crêpe with chocolate Nutella drizzled on top. «It tastes like it was just made,» she said between bites. There’s nothing that makes a man happier than seeing his significant other smile. My Colorado Omelet with no onions and a side of pancakes was just as warm and tasty. Daysi, our server, seemed unfazed by a full section and checked on us regularly after she nailed the two-bite rule like a veteran server. She was friendly, attentive, clear, and timely, and she appeared to enjoy what she does, as she provided near perfect service. As a consumer, this experience was the kind I wish every restaurant visit could be like, despite the normal mishaps that accompany a busy dining room. Way to set the bar. Great job!

Sigh… I’ve been going to IHOP my whole life, the past 20 years or so mainly for the Swedish pancakes(now called crepes on the menu.) I think I might stop now though. We put our name in and sat two feet away from the podium/register. At one point they called a name a few times(can’t remember what name it was but it wasn’t mine) for three people(our #) so they skipped over it. After waiting another 15 minutes and all the people around us quickly seated, we asked and realized that name 15 minutes before was supposed to be ours, they must have just misread it. The hostess got defensive, which really was the point the dining experience went south. Service was friendly but very slow for an overworked kitchen. As I ate I finally decided, after probably 100IHOP runs in my life, it’s just not good! The eggs and sausage are fine but the hash browns are always dry and undercooked and obviously previously frozen. You can’t buy coffee by the cup, but only as a never ending pot or whatever, for $ 2.69. I rarely have more than one cup, and never more than two, so it would be nice to have one cup for like $ 1.50. Or at that price, it had better be some organic special blend or something, but it’s obviously not. The fruit is melon-heavy with only one berry. The happy face pancake has canned strawberries as the eyes so the pancake looks like a bloody-eyed Carrie. The entrees may be ever so slightly less than at most other places, but after adding the overpriced coffee and other beverages, breakfast just as expensive as at much better places, if not more. There are just too many way better spots with much better food to go to IHOP anymore. It’s gotten to the point that Swedish crepes just aren’t worth all the drawbacks. Goodbye Swedish pancakes :(

Second breakfast here and both times were solid and delicious. Nothing fancy but good straight forward eggs, hash browns, bacon, French toast combo. Servers here are friendly and hardworking and food delivery was fast! I’m a fan. I’ve only been here during the week but there’s never been a wait in the morning. Alma, the server today was very nice and quick!

It’s good casual service, with reasonable prices, and some pretty good food. My Uncle enjoyed it as a birthday breakfast

It’s been years since I stepped in an iHop and I have to say I was pleasently surprised. The service was excellent and the menu offered something for everyone. Food was good enough for breakfast. Perfect for my family of four.

This a nice neighborhood IHOP. It’s in a modern building with parking. The Egg White Veggie Omelet with Fruit is excellent and less than $ 10.00 The Oat and Nut Pancakes with Fresh Blueberries are very good. Service is friendly, and currently they have a $ 9.00 off Unilocal Check-In Coupon you can use if you order 2 entries, making a good value, an incredible value. But you will have to stand up and sing at least 5 seconds of the Unilocal Theme Song to use it.

I would have to stay that the service was quick even for a busy Saturday morning. However, look at my food. Only half of my sandwich was actually buttered and toasted. It’s so clear by just looking at it. I flipped it over to see maybe they just forgot to flip it, but no. The whole half of my sandwich is not toasted at all.

My family loves IHOP! I think the food is cheap and unhealthy. We eat here weekly and the service is always on point. They know us by name and never fail to make us happy. They often give us random discounts for being loyal customers and we love the treatment which is why we come back! The food is average. If you’re just looking for a family breakfast with decent taste then this is your place to go. I am very calorie conscious so it is not my favorite. The setting is always busy and the waiters are hard working.

Wanted breakfast in a place where we didn’t have to worry too much about a two-year-old being loud… enter IHOP. Kids love the place and the server was very nice. I’m not a big pancake guy, so I had an omelette. There was a parking lot, so that was a rare treat in LA. I think this is my most boring review ever.
