Typical menu: «Smoked salmon sushi balls with ikura and daikon sprouts Mango-shrimp spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce Mini chicken pies in puff pastry Stuffed dates wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon(always a crowd-pleaser!) Pasta salad with kale, butternut squash, edamame and goat cheese(vegetarian) Panini bites with pear, white cheddar and fig spread(vegetarian) « The food was great and the price was affordable! I would recommend eating the food as appetizers(just skip lunch), since the food was very very rich and filling. Don’t be tempted to eat too much! The guests were impressed. Recommended.

Hummingbird catered my friend’s baby shower and their food was a big hit! It was the second time my friend had them cater a party and both times they had amazing dishes. A japanese chef, Yuko puts together beautiful simple dishes that satisfy. Heres some of the food that was ordered: Very cute and tasty salmon sushi balls. LOVEDTHESE! Bacon wrapped dates that everyone loved. They were a good size too! We also had yummy mini sandwiches, spring rolls and a refreshing pasta salad. They also had delicious mini cupcakes and macarons! Heres the website for more info: Check them out!

I believe Yuko runs the show here. I needed a catering service for my daughter’s birthday party and Yuko contacted me through a caterer finding service. She said that her food was perfect for my party and she was absolutely right. I wanted some finger foods and some hearty dishes with a touch of class, a lot of flavor, and that will sit well for two hours without heating. Yuko emailed me a list of their dishes. You shouldn’t read it if you’re hungry, though. Everything looked scrumptious! We decided on 1) grilled lamb chops(their signature dish) — very tasty!!! It had just the right amount of fat. There was a spoonful of pistachio nut sauce on top of each one that blended it’s flavors well and lended it just the right amount of saltiness. 2)bacon wrapped stuffed dates-it was sweet and salty. I think it was stuffed with walnuts and other stuff… can’t tell. Small, yummy bitefuls of bliss! 3)shrimp and mango rolls– itself was plain but refreshing, but the sauce was tangy and complemented the rolls nicely 4)kambocha croquettes-this was perfect for parties. Everyone loves a deep fried anything and this went fast!!! It was a tad curry like. It was the first dish to go empty. 5)flower shaped tea sandwiches with egg salad– these were perfect for the kids. I didn’t eat any because these were the second to go. These were meant for the kids but the adults kept munching on them. They were super cute though. 6)cous cous– this side dish was gorgeous in coloration. She added eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, and some other trains that I’ve never seen before. very tasty, but just a tad oily. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. She even made pink mini macaroon cookies with her business card for prospective customers. I asked her for some business cards and she surprised me with this! Best of all she made a ton of extra food for free. I fed my family lamb chops, cous cous, and stuffed dates for 5 days now. Heheh. and I was worried there wouldn’t be enough food. Boy was I wrong! You won’t be sorry about hiring her. Great tasty food and gorgeous presentation at reasonable costs. Good job!!!
