I’ve been reading Unilocal reviews forever, but I actually signed up when I saw somebody reviewed this Hot Dog Cart. Truly the best bacon-wrapped hot dogs in all of LA.

Nope… It does not get any better than this… Me and my friend are obsessed with bacon… Like in a very unhealthy way. We send each other weird pictures all day long of weird foods involving bacon… Bacon wrapped hot dogs are probably our favorite… We buy them pre-made at food for less, so that we can actually remember eating them… Hot dog stand time usually equals black out time… Well eventually people starting catching on… let me introduce you to exhibit A. Our Dude friend: Man, all you guys talk about is bacon. What would you do if I just wrapped a piece around my junk.(we have a classy circle) Hillary: Buy an expensive pair of knee pads. Andrya: Yeah pretty much.

People often ask me back home what is the best thing about living in LA. I say every time hot dogs wrapped in bacon. I am addicted to these things. I swear I’d probably eat them every day if I wasn’t scared I’d blow up to 200 pds. I love mine with mayonase only. Everyone I’ve ever had is big fat and juicy with succulent bacon that is just the right amount of crispyness. Thank god I found a regular guy at the corner of vermont and 7th near my office. He’s a sweetheart and charges $ 2.50.

Dont get me wrong, this dog is GOOOOOOD! really goooood! Grilled in oil with onions, so by the time you get it, it’s turgid and ready to pop in your mouth when you sink your teeth in for that first delicious bite. That sounds good all on its own, but think about how your senses are heightened cause you’re eating it at 2am after a night of drinking — so it’s reeeeeaallly goood, yaddaimean? There’s only one thing that’s keeping this from being a 5-star review: BACON. Ok, maybe 2 things — Bacon AND San Francisco. Check out how late night deliciosos are done up in the Yay: And now that i think about it, why is the bacon wrapped dog in SF is $ 2 while, this one is $ 3? Do they factor in the price of gas for the dogs in SilverLake? But hold on, before anyone jumps all overme, and says im pooh-poohing on the hot dog cart lady, I’m not doing that! Let me be clear — this hot dog is GREAT! Im just giving props where props is due! GOGIANTS!

You know how much I love LA. YOu definitely need to have one of fellows to keep LA real. Thanks to young Wes, he showed me another of the great hot dog cart pushing vendor in LA. ALthough the ones I normally have are the ones outside Staples Center after a Clippers game or the ones in Chinatown. I got love for these peeps, working hard to make a living. At least they try to survive in LA with diginity. Instead of being a bum asking for money or rob or doing other stupid stuffs, they did their thing and live a honest life. I feel ya’ll. Ya’ll need to show some supports to these peeps, they’re just like us trying to feed the family except we’re more fortunate. SHow some love and get a great tasting tacos for only $ 3! I like mine with extra grilled onions, ketchup and mayo, please. One love, ya’ll.

Thanks to Christina and Walter for taking me here! The address is for Zen Sushi, but he’s really outside waiting for party goers to try some of his magically delicious, thick, bacon wrapped hot dogs. Yes, I said it, THICK, BACONWRAPPED hot dogs. It’s not the usual limp, wimpy, hot dogs con cold buns that you normally get outside of Staples or any other club. $ 3.00 for a salty, sweet, mess of chaos wrapped in a bun. Grilled onions, peppers, jalapenos if you want it, mayo, ketchup, mustard. HEAVEN! He even«toasts» the bun on the grill for you. It would be safe to say he’s here around 11PM, or you can do what Christina did on our way, if you’re in the area, open your window up, if you smell the aroma, you know he’s there. **Update** He recently served guests at BGL for an event. Hope you Unilocalers that were there to enjoy the dogs, loved them. 10÷01÷07 Either the gentleman or his wife shows up @ BGL at times, be sure to be kind and also dispose of your trash in a bin instead of around the neighborhood if you patronize this cart. We want to keep BGL and the surrounding area litter free.
