I came in to get some documents notarized on a very hot day last week. It was such a relief to walk in to an air conditioned business.
We were helped from the moment we walked in by Norma. Our documents for notarizing were typed up by Norma so that we wouldn’t have to write all of the information in. They were out of state documents, so Norma called the company we were dealing with to check and authorize how she should do her California acknowledgements. We appreciated that she took the time to get a clear answer so that our paperwork wouldn’t be rejected.
We called ahead and were told that the fee was $ 10 per signature. I suppose we misunderstood, because it was actually $ 10 per our signature, not that of the notary — so in the end we ended up with a $ 60 bill for the notary services (3 papers, 2 signatures each). It felt pretty steep for three notary stamps, but I imagine it would have been the same anywhere else we went.
Either way, we appreciated the courteous services that Norma provided.
