amazing place and service, the hookah is clean and very good quality and they know how to prepare it as pros place is not loud or noisy so its good for work as well

My co-​workers and I wound down at this place after a couple of E3 parties. They’ve got a lot of really tasty flavors and comfy couches/​seats.

Have been smoking hookah for 10+ years (not sure if that’s a good thing) but every now and then a few lounges leave a memorable impression to the dozen of hookah bars that just don’t get it.
Décor is dope as hell. Situated in DTLA. Cozy spot to enjoy some hookah, be on your laptop, or hang out with friends and play some video games. The exposed brick wall and steampunk-​esque inspired mood is so fitting. It’s a nice change from your played out middle eastern themed hookah lounge. Great for after hours or an alternative from your coffee shop.
Hookah setup is spot on. Quality glass, unique stems and proper selection of bowls and heat management. I even love the choice of hoses. Normally, silicone hoses are annoying and not flexible — but theirs is supple and doesn’t tarnish the hookah experience. Plenty of quality flavors to choose from and I love the concept of being able to smoke at the hookah «bar».
Service is great as always. They check up on you to make sure the hookah is good. Only two things, if I’m being extremely picky, would be some snacks or finger foods and if they played some more variations of visuals on the projector.
Solid 5 star hookah bar. Fairly priced, too.

Hookah place LA is probably the best in Los Angeles. Nothing compares. Leather seats, big screens, and pretty women. Nothing better and nothing can compare.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been so impressed with the atmosphere of a hookah lounge! Anthony, Karo, and Artem were all extremely helpful, and made sure to take really good care of their customers.
These guys know their stuff! We talked about how different hookahs, and different bowls, and different methods of placing the charcoal, would affect how the hookah hits, and these guys are traditional! It’s great to see a hookah lounge that’s not only about the new tricks and fads, and actually puts their focus on putting out quality bowls every single time.
We smoked four different bowls at this location, two of which were flavors chosen by Artem, Karo, and Anthony. We let them know what kinds of flavors we liked, and both bowls they packed for us were a hit amongst our group!
I would recommend this lounge to anybody in the area! It’s got a great vibe, wonderful customer service, and hookahs that are actually worth going out for!

This place is awesome! Hookah is the best. You must try Coca-​Cola flavor and strawberry light flavor! So goood! Great service smooth and not harsh. Not noisy then other hookah places. Also music is really simple and relaxing.

Best place to come and smoke hookah because you can relax here and its not noisy than other places and you feel more chill than other places service is great and friendly music is also great and simple to listen basically it makes you relax like smoking at home but better and plus over here hookah never ever gets harsh and always smooth clean lightning is also great must come here to try new flavors coca cola is the best

Super chill vibes here, awesome spot. Great for hanging out with a group of friends on a week day when you have no where in particular to be. for a chill stress free night of cards, games, tea, and hookah. Open space and pretty good hookah, not expensive at all.
Super convenient and not hard to find. You should most definitely try it out.

Best place to smoke hookah. Tons of favors, nice people working! In addition, the place is really nice furnished! Very comfortable seatings for big and small companies. They also have a PS4 with a big screen TV and you can play for free! FIFA, UFC and other cool games!
I don’t go to any other places since I discovered Hookah Place!
100% must go :)

THIS GUYS ARE GREAT! I truly admire how they evolve in their work! More seatings, more new hookahs in their collection. The choice of what hookah to smoke is up to the customer and that is great! They do not use old-​fashioned KMs, they have more and more new-​style, modern hookahs that are so enjoyable to smoke!
The hookah master Artem is growing from day to day! I spend here a lot of time, and Artem is always progressing. His mixes and ways of packing the bowls are amazing! True guru of hookah!

Today we came from Costa Mesa (it’s about 1,5 hour from this place) because we thought that we can try good hookah and will buy Russian Tobacco there, but in fact this place was closed. We came at 2.50pm and we was waiting in about 10 minutes (working hours 2pm-​2am), just in case if somebody will open the door. But nobody was in there. And we also didn’t find any signs which could explain why this place is closed.
We checked the working hours before we came here and we was sure, that it’s open.

Hands down, my favorite hangout spot in LA!
I come here often, maybe too often. What I like most about this place is not it’s chill environment, not their pretty lights, not the couches that are so comfortable, it makes you wanna stay for good. Why I come here is a bomb hookah and good quality service that so far I haven’t seen anywhere: not only in LA, but in all of the US… Being a hookah enthusiast, I’ve tried hookahs in different states and cities and I say Hookah Place LA is definitely #1 in my list. The hookah guy Artem not only packs hookahs like no one else, he’s also brilliant when it comes to «tasting something new, something exotic.»
I absolutely recommend this spot! Come over and bring friends. Chill vibes guaranteed

I came here for the first time earlier this week and I just fell in love with it! I kid you not… Smoothest and tastiest hookah I ever had. The hookah master was extremely nice and helpful. He even surprised us with his own hookah mix which was amazing. Definitely recommend Hookah Place.

Tired of smoking in ur house? Tired of going to ur usual spot? Tired of terrible experiences at lounges? Want a new, great experience? No worries. This is a spot to be.
Unlike most lounges that just uses KM hookahs, this place uses higher end hookahs. Really nice interior, and Artem packs like no other. He will amaze you with quality packing while offering new tobacco brands out there that only enthusiasts usually smoke. Hands down, best lounge in downtown LA. Look no further. Hookah hits like a champ. Unlike most lounges that only serve al fakher, starbuzz, fumari, n if lucky, tangiers n nakhla, they serve Russian tobacco that will blow your mind away and you can only smoke it at this lounge.
They r the only Russians who know how to pack.

Our new fav hookah spot. Every time we go here the music is on point!!! The main guy that runs this place has amazing taste in hookah and what he mixes … I HIGHLY recommend you asking him what he thinks is good and have him make you something new… My BF is in love with the flavors and this place… They have comfy seating. Elegant lights as well.

I can’t believe it took me that long to review this place. I’ve been here number of times since they’ve been open and absolutely love it. Here’s what makes the Hookah Place LA the best:
*Stuff really cares! Everyone who works here actually cares about costumer’s experience. Each Hookah is «insane» high quality! Perfect taste — no exceptions! One of ultimate hookah magicians, Ilya or Artem (depends what day you r here) will literally fix your hookah charcoals every 5 minutes or so; therefore, it will last remarkably long, without burning or loosing taste. They use advanced hookah-​making technics, best-​of-​the-​best tobacco, and unique contemporary equipment, which makes up awesome smoking journey, costumers are getting here.
*Badass industrial design! Unique DTLA atmosphere created here always makes me feel inspired and is a perfect place to smoke hookah, work, read, chill and spend time with friends! Moreover, place is spotless clean and well organized, so its pure joy to be here! Lots of games of all kind, always good music!
*Parking is relatively easy. There is a lot of street parking available on weekdays, or parking garage for $ 6-​$ 8. However, I can’t speak to the parking problems since I live walking distance away.
*Clear and detailed hookah menus, which makes the selection of hookahs easy, even for inexperienced smoker. And if you can’t make the choice on your own — hookah sensei, Artem, will always help you out and advice some interesting and pleasant tobacco mix.
*Price is very fair. $ 20 for the best hookah in town, or even $ 10 if you are here during happy hours. Check-​in on Unilocal will get you a free refill.

Good hookah, great service, and a well laid out seating arrangement are just the start. This causal comfortable spot is a refreshing change of pace from the surrounding city life. Come here to escape into different world, with lights strung across the ceiling, you can feel like a child again, drifting into the smoke of a mix or classic flavor.
Ive been here 5 times and I keep coming back. Nothing negative to say, as an advocate of small business I recommend this place to young adults, students, young professionals, singles, and couples.

Forget about all the other hookahs that you’ve smoked because only at this place you will be able to enjoy the real hookah and the way it is supposed to be. I’ve probably been to all hookah bars, lounges etc in LA, but this one is the best.
The place is very chill with a nice music. The interior is absolutely amazing with a super comfortable furniture. They have a great variety of games such as Jenga, monopoly, cards, a great arcade (old school) console with more than 3k games and the best thing is PS4 with FIFA and bunch of other games.
However, the most important thing is the hookah itself. Here at HookahPlace LA your hookah will never burn or get harsh and it will last for a long time. Those guys really know how to mix favors for the best hookah. Just come in and try yourself and you will never go smoking somewhere else.

You walk in and it is a quiet smokey brick room with several couches and seating areas with an area in the back facing a large flat screen where people can play video games.
My friend and I smoked a melon/​gummy bear combo which was smooth and never hit harsh once. Our hookah-​tender was knowledgeable and friendly.
If you are out and about in the city, definitely check this place out!

I’ve been smoking hookah for a while and have a FUMO at home, so I know a thing or two about hookah ;)
Because of that, I don’t usually bother going out, because I can rarely find a place that can make the hookah as well as I can. Except I don’t get to say that anymore, because I must have found my match. The boys at Hookah Place blended my Limoncello and Mint together perfectly and the hookah was smoking amazing.
They have tons of flavors, Fumari, Starbuzz, Al Fakher, etc
Another important note is that they also have glass hookahs. Why glass hookah? First of all, it just smokes better. Trust me. If you’ve never tried it, go to this place and try it. Your hookah life will change.
Now, from the germaphobe in me: they use surgical grade rubber hoses that you can WASH after every use. So you don’t have to worry about breathing in someone else’s icky germs.
Alright, now that I got all the hookah-​related stuff out of the way… How is the ambiance you might ask? And the answer is amazing. The music was on spot, not too loud and a very nice loungey-​house selection. The décor is pretty cool inside, and the service is exceptionally attentive and polite :)
