My fav place to go for a foot massage in Hollywood. Sure it’s weird at first because they don’t talk much but I love that they rub your feet for so long. Never been to a place that does that. The people who work here are so sweet and nice. It is relaxing. I read other complaining about their lack of communication but they do what they need to do so just relax and enjoy yourself! Worth every penny.

It’s $ 15. 20 minutes left leg and foot, 20 minutes right leg and foot. Remaining clothed… flip over and 20 minutes body rub down. Tip them well! Call ahead if more than 2 people going. And be quiet, other people are trying to relax. Tip them well… minimum $ 10… Then walk across the street and get some dinner!

I had the weirdest/worst experience here. I was only in town for work but if I ever come back I won’t be returning. I was in town to work a trade show, and since I stand on my feet for hours at a time with this gig, I was hoping to find a good reflexology place. Sure enough, I heard about HFC through the grapevine of girls I had been working with, and figured I’d check it out before heading to work one morning. Easy enough to get to on the Metro — just a few blocks from the Hollywood/Western stop on the red line. I found it easily and walked in. It’s adjacent to an alterations shop, and a little woman who spoke very little English working there told me that no one was present next door so she needed to make a phone call in order for me to get a massage. Keep in mind that this place very clearly advertises that it is open for business: signs strategically placed outside claiming a $ 15 foot massage, and an «OPEN» sign with the light on. Far be it from me to assume that this place was actually up and running. Nevertheless, I figured it’d be ok to wait a bit since I’d already made the trek from downtown, and in a few minutes a man whom I assumed to be the owner walked in, opened the main door for me, and had me sign in. He never turned the lights on but instead kept the front door open, so it was pretty dark and very weird since I was the only customer. He instructed me to sit, had me roll up my jeans, and let me feet soak in hot water for five minutes. All of this was done without verbal communication on his part. While my feet soaked, he turned on the TV and walked around aimlessly. Once he deemed that my feet were thoroughly pruny, this man proceeded to give me the worst massage of my life. I doubt he was certified in any way. There were at least 20 different massage chairs in there so I assume during peak periods that there are other reflexologists present that actually know what they’re doing, but they were nowhere to be seen and I was stuck with this man who said probably 5 words to me throughout the duration of my massage, never made eye contact with me, and didn’t understand when I told him he could massage my feet a little harder(I had also hiked Runyon Canyon two days prior so suffice it to say my legs and feet needed some serious love!!). He paid no attention to my throbbing calves and essentially ran his knuckles over the balls of my feet for twenty minutes. I contemplated trying to communicate but it just seemed hopeless, and knowing it would be only $ 15, I didn’t want to make a stink. He then asked me to turn over and continued with his awkward massage, eventually moving up to my shoulders and back(which I was not expecting). I actually would have welcomed the extra massaging, but it was so terrible that I actually started drafting this review in my head. He just sort of flitted around different areas of my back, at some point deciding to half-assedly massage my hands and pull my fingers, and at another point dug his fingers momentarily back and forth into my neck. There was no purpose to the massage, no special care to any area; it was as if he was annoyed with me for interrupting his horrifically busy day and didn’t want to commit to doing a good job. I tipped him but I shouldn’t have. It was worthless and my legs and feet feel no different; for $ 15 in New York I could have gotten a halfway decent massage AND a great pedicure. Hell, my boyfriend would have done that for free(not the pedicure part, but you get my drift). I guess you get what you pay for, but based on the other reviews and the recommendations I got from co-workers, I was expecting the kind of massage I would want to write an overwhelmingly positive Unilocal review about! This was really disappointing. The star is half for the massage and half for the fact that this place was very clean. Boo.

I totally in love with this place. I’ve been here once with my cousin and we both love and wanted to come back every week if possible. And surely i’ll come back to this fantastic place again and again.

I’ve been here twice and most recently went with 5 girlfriends to get foot massages, and they all said the same thing«is it seriously only $ 15?!» Don’t let the exterior fool you. it doesn’t look like much from outside but the inside is actually nice and quiet. They pull the curtain closed so there’s no light from the outside. The place is also very clean and seems well organized. They didn’t have enough people to do all 6 of us at one time so we had to break into 2 groups which wasn’t a problem. The massage includes a seated upper back massage as well as an extensive foot massage and then ends with a laying down back massage. They are pretty strong so if the foot massage is too intense be sure to let them know — it’s similar to a deep tissue massage so you will definitely feel it. We asked around alot of places in Thai town and most wanted upwards of $ 40 for an hour foot massage so this is a deal and I’d highly recommend. :-)

INTRO: I have frequented at least 15 foot massage places in the San Francisco Bay, Los Angeles, and Orange County areas, so have a very good sense of the market. SERVICE: they first have you sitting upright while your feet are soaking and give you a shoulder and upper back rub. This part was alright, but not great. Next, you are seated in a recliner and you get a very good and thorough foot and lower leg massage. Finally, you are put on a table(this is unusual for a foot massage place, and a good thing) where your upper legs, back, and shoulders are massaged pretty nicely. On the down side, they do not work the arms or scalp like most other places do. AMBIANCE: they are located in Thai Town, right off Hollywood Blvd. The interior is not fancy and is still a work in progress, but it is fairly clean. The furniture seems pretty new. They don’t seem to have a lot and street parking is available, but can be difficult to find during busy hours. VALUE: is excellent for this area where most foot massages cost $ 25. At $ 15 for an hour, they are a real bargain. However, if you want to get a great massage and are willing to pay a little more, go to Sunny Foot Massage nearby off of Sunset Blvd.
